Very nice hotel in every way - great atmosphere in bar, nice food, friendly staff. Nice location, even though it's a little bit out of the city - other nice hotels nearby, if one wanted to do a little pub crawl C. Kearney

Excellent hotel, friendly helpfull staff and top class bar food, very convenient to city you can get a bus from outside the hotel if you don't feel like driving and having to look for a parking spot. I would certainly return to the hotel and I highly recommend it.

We Found Flannerys Hotel to be Clean Friendly And only a 5 min spin on the bus stop across the street To Galway city centre . All in all we felt we got good value from this stay Although we might have been tempted to eat at flannerys If the restaurant prices would compete with those in the city

Timmy scored 4 / 5 on 29/04/2013

We stayed for one night only and from the minute we walked into the hotel until we left next day we came across exceptionally friendly staff. We ate from the early bird menu. The food was excellent and very reasonable priced. Would definitely pay a return visit and would recommend it to family and friends.

My husband and I stayed in Flannerys hotel Fri 19th Oct. Surprised to get up grade to suite, b&b rate 78 euro. Suite like an apartment, smelled a bit musty though. Had a super king size bed, very comfy. Nice breakfast in restaurant. Bus stop across road into city centre for couple of euro. Would stay again.

Caroline scored 4 / 5 on 02/07/2012

On arrival the two girls on reception could not have been more helpful, efficient and polite. The room was perfect, lovely and clean. The only problem I had was with the immovable shower head. The bar staff were as equal ably efficient and polite as were all the staff in the hotel. The bar food was delicious and served up promptly. We thoroughly enjoyed this hotel and will definitely be back.

John scored 4 / 5 on 01/07/2012

Good location (bus outside door for Eyre Sq). Free car parking (not available in city centre hotels). Helpful, friendly staff. Good sized, comfortable rooms with free wi-fi. Good bar area with food available until late. In general I cannot fault this hotel, "it does what it says on the tin".

We stayed in the hotel overnight, with 2 doubles and a family room, and were very pleased with the comfort and cleanliness. The staff were all very friendly and helpful. Breakfast was very nice and all very well laid out in the dining room. This was our first visit to Galway and we would certainly return.

Weekender scored 3 / 5 on 05/04/2011

The majority of staff were very friendly and welcoming. Rooms are very dated and in need of updating. Cleaning staff left cleaning equipment in bathroom. Also radiator in room was broken asked twice for it to be fixed with no joy. As a result room was extremely stuffy.

Ac, scored 4 / 5 on 30/03/2011

This hotel was late choice but turned out to be a great weekend, staff are very friendly and hotel was nice and clean. The food was excellent for breakfast on both mornings and the evening meal which was included. The only small gripe we had was with the showers, they were not powerful at all but other than that this was a great hotel to stay in and would be choosing this hotel again in the future. Lidl breaks is great value for money.

Anon scored 3 / 5 on 29/11/2010

Very good value. Lidl Breaks most helpful and obliging. Needed to cancel and change bookings for different dates and locations. No problem at all, just sorted aleverything by email. Only thing about hotel to downpoint was the extremely small bathroom. Space so tight that the shower screen was in danger of being hit when the door was opened inwards. Otherwise, not a thing to fault and would stay there again.

Ciaran scored 4 / 5 on 17/11/2010

Spent one night in Flannery's a Saturday night and found the accomadation to be a very high standard for what we paid for the room. The room was spotless as was the bathroom. If I had one complaint the pillows just weren't up to it! Had breakfast in the morning and cleared the plate, it was lovely. The hotel is just a short trip in a taxi to Eyre Square or a nice walk on the Sunday morning to clear the head. Highly reccomend Flannery's. Ciaran Harnett

Enjoyed our 3 night stay in Flannerys. The Room was comfortable, the food was excellent while the staff were very pleasant and helpful. The free Wi-Fi in the hotel was an added bonus. One minor complaint was that there was no drawer space in the wardrobe. The Lidl breaks are great value.

I have rated this hotel 3 star. As much as I enjoyed my Lidl break in the Flannery's Hotel in Galway, I was disappointed that there was no Leisure Centre. The staff and hotel were excellent and could not be faulted. Looking forward to my next Lidl break and have no problem recommending this service to friends and colleagues.

Despite some confusion with regards to checking in, the experience was a great one. The room was spacious and comfortable. There was plenty of space for our family of 4. Great breakfast and friendly helpful staff. Recommended although it is some way from Salthill beach where we spent most of our time!
