My parents love this hotel and my 82 year old dad wanted to bring my mother for her 80th birthday. Triple room was perfect, walk is shower as requested was provided and food was very good high standard, especially the evening meal, staff extremely pleasant at all times
Great location, lovely staff, room had everything required. Looking forward to my next visit ????
Lovely hotel Lovely food Lovely staff
Nice hotel to stay staff very friendly and helpful
only thing I ditent like was all single beds in room no double
Room very very small to the stage it felt suffocating with myself a teenager and a 5 year old. Rooms are very dated and I don't know if it's just the room I got (room 122, which seems to be one half of an adjoining room) or all of them but there was literally no wardrobe space or anywhere to store clothing or cases! The bathroom was OK definitely on the smaller side and the stopper didn't stop the water from leaving the bath even with it in the water was running down the drain! You hear every sound in the rooms I thought there ya a heard of cattle over my room woken first morning after 6 and 2nd morning before 7.30 from the noise above us! Daughter attended the kids club and had a great time in it she kept asking to go back. Food overall was gorgeous had dinner in restaurant on first night was 10/10, staff were brilliant and food was out very fast, it's a shame I can't say the same about night 2 we opted for food in the bar area I spent from 7.32 until 7.58 waiting to order food with the barmen serving was all over the place it seemed they took food/ drink orders from who they felt like, leaving 3 of us ( myself trying to order food and another man and a woman both trying to order drinks) for over 30 minutes to be served I ended up going to reception and asking the girl was there someone I can order from she promptly went into the bar and spoke to one of the barmen who took my order approx 5 mins after she went into him. Service in the bar seemed to be all over the place on both nights the barmen kept apologising about the delay yet he was wondering around like a headless chicken doing everything yet doing nothing! Again the food was lovely cleared plates all around just the service was absolutely shocking.
Lovely hotel food & staff brilliant very central to everything in the city
1.Had to get water for kettle myself in bar and we were on level3? 2.Flush on toilet wasnt working efficientlly
Good hotel with nice staff
Food was good staff were friendly room was clean.shower was great.
Location is excellent, staff is also excellent. Only criticism l would have is the bedroom was very small. All in all ,very friendly, great value, and a wonderful few days, Regards, Paul
Nice Hotel.Rooms were spacious.food was lovely
Great hotel. Will definitely stay here again. The food was so good. Only issues I had were the service at the bar: it wasn't particularly busy but the guy behind the bar kept passing over me for people that just came up after me. Also the toilet didn't remove all the waste on the first, second, third (or eighth in one occasion) flush. I thought there was something wrong with me until I overheard others in the bar with the same complaint. Will be back
Green value for the price go there many times
Hotel is in the heart of the city only 4 mins walk to bus station and 5 mins walk to train station, hotel is clean and check in process was very good, room was fine but pressure in shower was low. we were booked in for B&B+dinner, Dinner was a disappointment, my wife ordered soup which was served without a plate underneath the bowl and bread roll arrived after soup was finished, I ordered roast of the day for mains which was served without vegetables which arrived 5 mins after mains, we had to order wine from 2 different waitress and first one forgot to bring it to our table, I ordered desert and coffee, only desert arrived, I never received my coffee. room was quiet and comfortable in the evening and check out process was nice and easy, special note to the barman in main bar who was very informative and extremely helpful to all his customers
We really enjoyed our stay. Staff were very accommodating in any requests that we had. Great value for money.
We really enjoyed our stay. Staff were very accommodating in any requests that we had. Great value for money.
All staff friendly and my request for a certain room was granted we have our next trip in January already booked
Great Location, Delicious Food, Lovely Hotel, Friendly Staff, Great Leisure Centre. Only downside was we had had asked for a room in quite area, ended up right over the bar, extremely noisy, especially after 1pm.
Lovely hotel ,great food, nice and cosy atmosphere
I can not say a bad thing about this hotel. The staff are wonderful. The food was great. Room lovely. We had a great time
Nice hotel great value staff v pleasant food nice and enjoyed entertainment in bar too great location too
Staff were very nice and friendly. Room was spacious and very clean. We got a great deal bnb and 2 course dinner included, the food was gorgeous. Hotel is a bit dated but overall a great stay.
Exceptionally nice staff. Lovely room and spacious. Lovely pool. Dinner in restaurant delicious.
Really enjoyed my stay as did my friend comfortably room, good food and the hospitality excellent
Would highly recommend Tracy's Hotel, Waterford. We had a fantastic dinner. Turkey, stuffing & ham with mash, gravy, vegetables & cranberry sauce. Followed by mouth watering dessert. Having requested disability friendly accommodation, it is the first hotel I have stayed in with full wet room on suite. Full marks to Tracey's Hotel The staff were so helpful and friendly.
More attention should be paid to food quality. Twin Room was clean. Beds very comfortable. Staff obliging and mannerly. Food not good enough.
It was a return visit to Traceys hotel for my family. Our stay was delightful. Staff are very friendly and supportive.
This is an absolutely great hotel to go to .staff are absolutely brilliant. Very nice and helpful and nothing is a problem. The food was delicious so compliments to the chef.my only problem was the opening times of the pool on Saturday and Sunday mornings....9am is to late for some of us early risers so if u could do something about that please but otherwise a great hotel in a great location.
Love this hotel so much we stay very regularly as it's so well priced and in a prime location, staff are also great
Hotel was very out dated looking but not to bad
Nice comfortable hotel very clean lovely bar and music would highly recommend it for a break
Great hotel very pleasant staff only let down having to take 2 lifts to get to 4th floor room but other than that 10/10. Very nice breakfast and close to everything in the city centre
Noise in room was shocking porter came up at 1 fixed it than woke us again at 6 from noise off the tank. Food was just rushed out to us we didn't even have starter digested and main course was out on top of us
Lovely hotel. Great food very friendly staff and good value for money
A brilliant break and location for the price
Good value for the price paid. Great food
Bit dated but very clean with good food and great value for money
An old building with very narrow corridors. Very clean and food very good
Warm , clean and good food
Hotel was clean. Staff were excellent, so was the food. Entertainment in bar every night. Pool, steamroom & sauna were ok. The hot tube was not working. Tv in room was very dark. Couldn't see what was on.
Nice place for a short stay. Well located, walking distance from train station too.
Great hotel and staff are so friendly. We dealt with Dermot the manager and he was excellent. Heated seat out in the smoking are which was fab. Only complaint I'd have was the breakfast wouldn't rate it at all. If I was staying again it wouldn't be breakfast included. This is a great site to thank you
Great hotel. Lovely staff from manager down.
Found hotel to be good value and the rooms to be spotless
Treacys is a lovely hotel. The staff were very friendly and helpful. The food was delicious. It's a very central hotel, right in the city. We had a lovely time there.
modern room nice shower good food nice staff
Excellent value in traceys hotel Also close to city centre and all the bus routes Very good restaurant service and bar food Entertainment at night is top class as well with loads of seating available Room very quite and the staff are very helpful all times
Hotel was nice.Staff were obliging. This may seem like nitpicking but my petite partner found our bed a bit too high.We will return
Very good value Hotel. We had the Dinner Bed and Breakfast package. Food was excellent. Highly recommend staying here in Treacys in Waterford.
Three wonderful days in Waterford the hotel was absolutely terrific , I can’t compliment them enough restaurant and bar staff were excellent , the food was delicious and our three night stay was terrific value , central hotel and easy to get around 10 out of 10
Nice friendly hotel, staff very nice, good food, rooms comfortable, but could do with an upgrade ????
Celebrating our 60th Wedding anniversary/3/09/2024. Absolutely will recommend. Very attentive and had a little gesture for us when we arrived.. Whether we wee celebrating or not Treaceys Hotel Waterford have always been very nice to us when we stayed.
It was good value for the money. The music at night was an added bonus
This was our 4th stay and we had a lovely time everything was brilliant the staff the food and hotel loved it thank you looking forward to the next time
The room was overlooked by apartments so had to keep the curtains closed,it was also very warm in the room even though the radiators were off, and couldn't open the windows at night because of the noise from the street so didn't,wouldn't recommend it
Lovely friendly hotel. Very clean and bright room with excellent shower. Staff all very helpful. Corridors and stairways dated and a little tatty ..could do with an update. Gave us a complimentary drink as it was my husbands birthday. Breakfast very good and plentiful. Would definitely recommend and will return. Very good value hotel.
Had a lovely time in Treacys Food was very good and the staff very very helpful and friendly Really enjoyed our stay
Shower had not a lot of pressure and breakfast wasn’t good had to ask multiple times for toast for 2 and only brought down 2 slices of toast
Our room was spacious and spotless.... no air con but the fan provided was sufficient and very quiet if you needed it on at night. The food at dinner and breakfast was delicious and plentiful, with a good choice, and service was friendly and efficient. In fact, all the staff members were friendly and attentive and mannerly. We'll most definitely be back
found everything OK except for one night the very loud noise form the fans out side and were running all night so not much sleep other than that everything was good
Lovely hotel. Friendly staff. Excellent breakfast.
Cannot fault this hotel in anyway. The staff ,Food, accommodation, atmosphere in the bar, location, all made our stay a very pleasant experience we will be back
Our room was fine as we were not to far from reception. My friend said the shower was very poor. Bad supply of water. I myself showered in the leisure centre which was perfect. Breakfast was lovely. Dinner wasn't grt.My friend had chicken supreme.Thought it was going to be creamy. Chicken was very dry and sauce served in a bowl no veg.I had fish and chips. Chips were not good and fish was just about ok. Staff were lovely. It was nice to have the music in the bar. We would definitely stay again. Not sure about booking dinner.
We frequently visit this hotel . We find it very convenient to travel down by train and walk across the bridge . Staff are very helpful and food is very good .
The duty manager and his staff were so kind and helpful they heard we were there after recovery from a health matter. At dinner we were given complimentary wine and a box of chocolates were left on my bedside locker so thoughtful. We will definitely be returning again
lovely room 302 .very nice meal .. great value will return
Nice hotel , pool sauna and steam room and food all good and music in the bar . Staff nice too
Great location, food great Staff very good, especially Elisabeth on Reception, we will be back
Once again we had a lovely trip to Waterford, staying in Traceys Hotel. Brilliant location and close to lots of nice restaurants and bars. The bar and restaurant in the hotel are well worth visiting. Nice friendly staff make the whole experience worth repeating again a d again
Nice hotel good location and food was lovely.
Great staff lovely room and very comfortable bed. Breakfast was top notch. Great value and location as well Will return definitely
Lovely cheap breakaway, room was very clean and spacious. We had a family room with bunkbeds for the kids ,a double bed and a single bed. Pool area was very clean and the pool was warm, with a selection of floaters for the kids. Good selection for breakfast. Overall a good stay and a cheap stay for families.
Lovely friendly staff at reception & breakfast/dinner. Tasty food & amazing cocktails. Bed comfy & room clean. Only thing was it was very warm in bedroom. Fan available in rooms
Very enjoyable stay, great location and friendly staff. Family room was comfortable and spacious. Tasty breakfast each morning, nice variety of food. The Chef even cooked hash browns for my son each morning so he was very impressed. We will definitely be back again.
Nice place to stay, staff were friendly and helpful, very central location, we stayed in the older room type part of the hotel, would recommend this hotel.
it was just what we needed ,had a lovely time .staff and food was lovely .its a treat .room was spotless and all we needed.
nice hotel, lovely staff from reception to leisure center and restaurant, great value
Fine hotel with lovely breakfast buffet... Good like for hotel gym.
We booked Tracy's hotel because we got a great midweek price for 1 night. Staff were helpful and friendly on check in. Hotel was spotless. We had a room looking out onto the quay, it was clean but could do with updating. Breakfast was good. We will be back
Great value for money. Clean comfortable rooms with constant helpful staff.
We had a fantastic stay. The staff were so friendly and helpful. Our room was bright and spotless. The menu in the restaurant was of great variety. The only negative thing is that check out is 11.30am
Very central, clean and friendly staff. Enjoyed a swim and music in the bar.
Lovely break - the food was lovely and the staff very helpful - we found the information black book in hotel very helpful- we did two trips that were recommended - the restaurant where the breakfast and dinner served was bright and airy thanks
Loved the hotel, excellent service from checking in, dining & breakfast. Food was absolutely gorgeous. Bed was comfy, room was spotless but it was noisy. Some sort of fan outside room 246 left that I couldn’t keep the window open at night. Could still hear it with window closed. Overall the hotel has improved immensely since last time there. We will definitely be back.
Hotel fairly run down and dark, otherwise had a lovely stay! Very pleasant staff at reception and throughout, bed comfortable, lovely fresh white sheets also lovey fluffy white towels! 2 course dinner which was fairly good with lovely desert, strawberry cheesecake and lovely hot apple crumble with custard which could have fed 2???? Breakfast was better than average. All in all a very good stay(at a fantastic price) if you can overlook the need for a makeover!
Great location beside the train and bus station and also walking distance to all the main sites. Hotel was very clean the room was spacious. The food which was included in this deal was good portions and quality. Excellent deal I would recommend it
Hotel needs a good refurbished as its very dated, also theirs no shower gels in the leisure centre & no pastries at the breakfast just cereal & a poor quality fry up & coffee . It was a great deal for fri & sat in July for 209 with b&b for 2 . Its a maze too find your room , beds very comfortable & room was perfect .
Friendly hotel, good staff.Meals were very good and reasonable. Very central to shops and entertainment .There was music every night .Will definitely stay again .
Clean, convenient , comfortable, location was handy. But wouldn't go back, too nosy, pool staff were very unfriendly and my last night stayed dinner when I paid and left was calling me back to ask if I actually really paid then he went to check with other lady who I paid to so I needed to stay and wait for him to check out what made me feel so just disgusting and unprofessional didn't even apologise after all put me so
Always like Waterford and like staying at treacys Hotel staff are very helpful food is good
Nice comfortable hotel with lovely staff great food and overall good atmosphere there.
We had a one night stay recently in Treacys hotel Waterford really enjoyed our stay. The beds were super king size and really comfy. Fabulous food as always in any of their hotels. Great gluten free options for me as a coeliac. Will definitely book again.
Room was lovely especially the newly refurbished bathroom. Food was good we had dinner great choice of food, breakfast was also good. I would go back there again.
Excellent location for visiting the Waterford area. Easy access to the greenway. Hotel staff very friendly and helpful..lovely welcome.
We had super good offer though Bergainbreaks and thought why not.We were very surprised. It's beautiful old building, clean and tidy, comfortable bed. Lovely staff and really good service. We had diner and breakfast in hotel and it was simple but really nice, good quality.
We have been to this hotel numerous times and each time we have had a great experience, i cant fault the hotel on any level, rooms are great, food is great and the athmosphere is great, plus its only a short walk to the city centre
Friendly checking in
Would not stay again
Room was nice, clean and bed comfy, Staff were friendly and helpful. I would stay again, the only downside was food, breakfast I felt was poor, next time I would do room only.
The wife and I had a one night stay, ed and breakfast. As a couple, we were given a great room. The breakfast was lovely and the staff were very helpful and friendly. Location is great and we'll definitely be back, possibly with the kids next time.
Nice hotel and very pleasant to deal with at Reception. The room was a bit on the small side but it was clean and tidy. I was disappointed to hear so much noise all through the night. We were at the front of the hotel facing the Quays. Neither of us got a wink of sleep. As O.A.P's this was very hard on us. Next time we will be aware and ask for a room to the rear of the hotel
Excellent value and great location Staff very helpful
The staff in the hotel were all very friendly and helpful. I was given the loan of a wheelchair for my mother which was really appreciated. Food was really good with lots of options. Breakfast staff and bar staff all very pleasant and professional. It seems like a really great team and I hope they are valued for all their hard work and kindness to their guests.
Outstanding from start to finish. Most comfortable bed I’ve slept in for a while, huge room, power shower, best buffet style breakfast with plenty of everything with lattes or espressos etc also included. I secured parking across the road for €4.50 for 12 hours on line which was ideal (even though I know free parking somewhere up the road). I didn’t partake of dinner this time as was exploring the area. Live music in the bar was excellent. Everything was spotless, staff very friendly and obliging. Perfect location too. Fair enough needs updating but maybe not worth it if people going to wreck it anyways. Perfectly fine to me even part of the charm of the place. Lifts a bit small but sufficient for two people. Most defo be back and hope to avail of leisure facilities and dinner. No longer a spa but advertised as one so maybe this should b looked into
Attention : DAVE. Thanks again Dave for your booking our Mini Break at TREACYS WATERFORD HOTEL SPA AND LEISURE CENTRE. We have already sent you our review; we had a great time and are looking forward to our next trip to TREACYS WATERFORD HOTEL SPA AND LEISURE CENTRE. Best wishes, Phyl.
No complaints staff friendly breakfast very good near to town centre room ok
TREACYS WATERFORD HOTEL SPA AND LEISURE CENTRE Our River-View Bedroom was spacious and had extra seating to sit and drink a coffee while watching the River go by or read the morning news paper. The Bathroom was sparkling new with a daily supply of fresh towels. Our room was serviced every day. Breakfast was most enjoyable; plenty of choices - with Full Irish Breakfast and Healthy Options together with Toast and Brown Soda Bread (my choice), Tea and Coffee. Dinner offered a selection of meats / fish / chicken and Vegetables. Afters had some delicious Desserts. The Spa and Leisure Centre has every facility; the Swimming Pool had a perfect temperature; in the Gym you could do a good workout with great equipment. ALL members of Staff at TREACYS WATERFORD HOTEL SPA AND LEISURE CENTRE were very professional, pleasant and polite and most helpful. Looking forward to our next trip to TREACYS WATERFORD HOTEL SPA AND LEISURE CENTRE. Arais Aris, JemFil.
Great hotel.food great in bar n restaurant.lovely friendly staff. Looking forward to next trip.
Staff at check in were excellent! after that a disaster from poor quality food to overpriced drink in a terrible bar, not allowed into breakfast after 10am and asked to check out at 11.30am. No one told us that people were staying in this hotel, with food, pool, gym, free to them with everything else and yet we had to pay for everything as they looked on. if we had been told what this hotel was been used for we would never have stayed there. as for our room, you could'nt swing a cat in it!!!!
We were very happy with our stay everything was brilliant thank you
Hotel staff very friendly and work very hard.We enjoyed our stay.
Location is great, room was clean but service overall was horrendous! Waited 45 mins for a main course, got dessert before main course arrived. No explanation or apology on the night for this. Bar service was slow each evening. Would not recommend staying here. Far better hotels to chose from instead. You pay for what you get!
I was very happy with my trip to Waterford. I enjoyed my stay in Tracey's Hotel. Staff were very friendly and welcoming and helpful. Meals were good. Good value. Definitely would stay again.
An absolute pleasure to visit your hotel Highly recommended to other visitors The staff were amazing especially Connor The place was spotless and the food was very good We will definitely be back
I have stayed here before so a return visit. As usual very pleased. Lovely bedroom.and ensuite and clean. Food very nice and a good selection. I have to mention one staff member in particular his surname is Kavanagh. Sorry can't recall Christian name but he was excellent very good, very kind and couldn't do enough for you. A new manager started while l was there and very good. Want to wish him the best of luck in his new position. One thing l didn't mention in my other reviews is that they share a carpark with Aldi and l think it is a little far for some People a bit of a distance from the hotel. The only other thing l would like to mention is there is no table service in the bar ,and don't remember this was the situation when l was there before. We will return.
Staff at Treacy's hotel are exceptional from the reception to the maid service is 10 out of ten. We came for a relaxing break (away from the kids) and we got exactly that. Highly recommend a stay here.
Fab hotel a great nite away great staff
Had a very pleasant stay, staff very courteous ,friendly & efficient.Room clean& comfortable. Food Excellent.

The same We eat in the restaurant nightly the menu.had a lovely choice of food, and the waitresses were lovely we had lovely food The breakfast was self service with a great selection We had a lovely stay and will return.again soon
Had a lovely family stay. Lovely suite given as we have been here before, and had a nice evening meal. Enjoyed the pool also. Staff were friendly and very very helpful. We had great chats with the waitresses in the evening, talking to my daughter aswel. We ended up being last in the restaurant because we talked too much lol. Looking forward to staying again as a family thanks
Comfortable, clean rooms Exceptional staff Great food Lovely leisure centre This was our second stay and we are already looking forward to returning
Nice friendly hotel, food very good , staff very professional, rooms need updating.
Lovely hotel friendly and efficient in a great location
Nice staff, room was clean and large, dinner was nice: decor overall is a bit dated
Pleasant experience until we opted for our meal in the lounge because there was music on, but then it went downhill. We ordered from the menu but were told it was the wrong menu, then we were given a different menu and ordered a drink along with our food. The barman was very busy and l had to go and get the drinks myself. When the food arrived it was enjoyable. Then we were left waiting for our dessert as the barman had to go and make it himself as the kitchen staff had gone. Otherwise we enjoyed it.
Had to visit Waterford on business in a last minute decision. Booked Treacy's hotel on the Lidl breaks site and happy to have done so. Got a very good B/B rate, arrived late but everything was as should be, nice quiet room, internet and bed quality. Had breakfast in the morning, everything adequate and satisfied. No issues booking in, booking out and will stay again if I'm in that neck of the woods.
Hotel was very nice clean and staff were very friendly. We had dinner and breakfast in the restaurant and can't fault anything it was delicious. We will definitely be staying again.
It was a good value family break. Hotel is a bit old fashioned but it is clean, food is good, pool very nice and reception and dining room staff pleasant and helpful.
Hotel staff were friendly and helpful. The room was clean. Nice that there was live music in the bar. However, I had my parking ticket validated at check out from the hotel but I still had to pay €8 to get out of the carpark!
Centrally located nearby parking good value
Beautiful hotel. Super location. Staff were great. Attention to detail was brilliant. Food was gorgeous. Very happy and I would return to this hotel again. Thank you for making my birthday trip so special and memorable for both me and my mam.
Staff were lovely. Very helpful. Bedroom was clean and functional, but toilet cistern was running. Ignatious Rice lounge is lovely for relaxing in. Bar was nice, n the live music was very good. Shortage of drinking glasses in the bar, no gin goblets or brandy glasses, when requested. Value for money excellent, on the lidl deal
Staff very helpful.Hotel is dated but very clean.Enjiyed breakfast and evening meals.Central to rail and bus station.
Our stay was wonderful from the time we arrived we were made so welcome, the staff are all so friendly and helpful. The choices of meals are excellent. The hotel itself is located close to everything, and on the waterfront. The rooms are cosy, brilliant shower ,and tea and coffee topped up daily .can highly recommend staying in Trecays Hotel Waterford
We had a lovely stay in Traceys hotel but sleeping was impossible with the noise below our room . I reported it to management who said they would look into what was causing it but nearly a week later no contact has been made despite several e mails. But staff was 100% and food . But I feel let down by management
Very nice hotel great location. Food brilliant lots of choices. Music in the bar lovely . Pool fantastic nice temperature and jacuzzi n steam room and sauna. Friendly staff!!!
The staff were excellent at this hotel. The whole experience was very good The location was excellent and the bus service was top class The breakfast and food was top class as well
Excellent Hotel, We had a very pleasant stay, friendly Staff. Room very old fashioned, but Rooms were very clean and the Bed was very comfortable. Excellent hot Shower. We have stayed in Traceys in Waterford at least 5 times and always enjoy our time there, Breakfast was excellent, and we enjoyed our all inclusive Dinner. This Hotel in Waterford is excellent value for money.
I stayed in this hotel 3 times in the the last month the staff are lovely especially the male manager and the food and the rooms then can't do enough for you and I look forward to going back very soon
Hotel for the money is great nice location good facilities nly reason gave a four was took 40 minutes to get a drink with meal
hotel was ok but room was difficult to find through a maze of corridors, car park too far away for elderly people with walking difficulties, good value for money room clean and comfortable
Very enjoyable short stay Very reasonable Great service food staff Great location Free parking Restaurant and bar very comfortable Rooms a bit small and out dated Needs more sockets ie USB Bathroom small but well laid out Walk in shower Beds and pillows oh so comfortable Carpets tread worn in places Great place place for a short stay as you would not really use the room because it’s so small But perfect for a nights sleep
Perfectly situated for sightseeing in Waterford nd surrounding area. Helpful friendly staff. Room good, corridors could do with been updated.
Great value for Money. Central location, use of gym and pool, free parking, friendly staff, will definitely return.
Stayed 3 nights. Great location, short walk to city centre. Opposite bus station for trip to Tramore. Good clean accommodation. Music and atmosphere in bar at nights. Excellent value, especially Dinner, B & B package
Great value, great food great atmosphere great location definitely worth it definitely stay again
Lovely hotel staff were so friendly We had a lovely view looking out over the quay, Close to shops,Pubs, and Restaurants and great Value for money, Will stay again,
Service in th e bar was very slow ,not the barmans fault as he was the only one serving and there was music every night because the hotel was a stop over for a tour group .Will definately stay again as food and location was very good .As its an old hotel you could hear every movement from rooms above and trafic on the street ,but i will be back again
Friendly hotel Breakfast / dinner very good Staff excellent Would recomend to friends Will be back
Very friendly staff Food very good Room very clean and tidy Bathroom up to date Have already recomended hotel to friends Town and shops walking distance
Very comfortable rooms, food menu a little limited for longer stays but what we had was very nice. Staff very friendly Remote car parking a drawback for elderly and disabled guests. For this reason alone, I would not return.

Great Mattress to sleep well, Warm Room, good shower. Great Breakfast.
Hotel & bedroom was very clean. But shower was cold ???? Leisure centre was good But there was NO shampoo or soap in the ladies or gents at Leisure centre.
Great customer service . Food was lovely served by Nile who went above and beyond to make sure I had everything I wanted. Live music was brilliant.
The room was clean and the food was lovely ???? didn’t like where the car park was definitely wouldn’t go there on my own.

Lovely clean hotel, staff all very friendly, free parking is close by, the only downfall is there could be a bigger food menu, especially for breakfast, the hotel is great value for money.

Stay with Tracy hotel last week had a lovely time. Lovely food ???? staff very nice and friendly to talk to ???? will stay again.
Nice hotel friendly staff good food. Free parking at the glen carpark keep an eye out for ALDI it seems to be the same car park.
I enjoyed my stay here. Rooms are a bit out dated but they are doing them up. More pillows needed in the rooms. We ate in the bar the 2 nights and food was excellent. Staff are very friendly and welcoming. Leisure centre is brilliant. All in all had a lovely stay.
We love Traceys in Waterford, great location, top floor rooms are so comfortable and the staff are so welcoming
I got locked in the bathroom in the night my partner got the night security upthey where very rude but the manager rang me the next day I hope they don't treat everyone like that
Clean, modern, spacious and beautifully decorated room. Lovely breakfast and I enjoyed every bit of it, hardworking chefs and other kitchen staffs. Great value for money. Fantastic front desk staff.
The hotel was lovely, staff very friendly, might have been me but I missed where it says the car park is down the road and not part of the hotel, drove around for a bit before ringing the hotel for directions but I might have missed that on the website
Would highly recommend a trip to Treacys Waterford. We experienced a brilliant family break and enjoyed top class treatment from the hotel staff throughout who couldn't have done any more. Food was amazing and the leisure facility ensured we were kept busy no matter the weather during our stay. Will look to return again
Room comfortable, staff friendly, Enjoyed dinner in the restaurant
Bedrooms were a bit dated and tired but had all the essentials. What made our trip excellent was the wonderful staff and their helpfulness. Evening meal was one of the best I have had and our server Quintin was so attentive. All in all a great stay.
Car park too far away
Nice one night break.Hotel nice enough. All staff we came in contact with were courteous and helpful from front of house to staff at breakfast. Hotel is in need of some kind of update which i believe is happening. Even without a refurb i would stiil stay again.
Staff were very helpful and welcoming, the bar warm and friendly, however we had 2 evening meals, which were very poor most of which were reheated including dessert, breakfast was OK and the staff and chef were so pleasant, Bedroom was small, though clean, we had a lovely view of the Quay, unfortunately there was bird poo on the window and windowsill was covered in poo that has been there for a while, so we couldn't enjoy the view. Bedroom walls thin, we could hear next door residents conversations and TV. Sadly we won't be returning to Treacys.
Not my type of hotel, the people, there lovely, the food was nice, just very run down and just not fir me, I wouldn't return Thank you
Food was lovely and t leisure centre was good my granddaughter loved t pool but a bit deep, the rooms are really in need of updating as we are in the year 2024
Was very satisfied and very lovely staff and lovely scenery
Was very satisfied and very lovely staff and lovely scenery
Older but very clean and comfortable hotel. Helpful staff and good food. Great location.
Room was good the food on the first night was poor improved for the next 2 nights on the last day the breakfast was cold
Great time as always. Only downfall was the bar was very cold. We kept our coats on us most of the time. Food was lovely
Everything from room, food and staff excellent!!!! 10 out of 10 from us.very pleasant stay, close to trains, bus station and other attractions.would definitely stay again and recommend to all.
Great to stay good value for money
Had a lovely week end there food was lovely beds comfortable great location train station across the road staff very friendly
Stayed for 3 night's and was very enjoyable.Food was excelent. Would go again.
Rooms a bit small
Lovely hotel and the staff were very helpful. I have stayed in this hotel many times and will be back again.
Fabulous time. Room clean and plenty of space in family room.Staff very pleasant and helpful. Car parking great not too far from hotel.

Great time lovely hotel.Very pleasant staff. Leisure centre lovely. We had a most enjoyable stay and will definitely go back again soon.
We arrived early at hotel and receptionest kept our luggage in a locked room for us . Our stay at the hotel was not a good experience ,our room was cold during the night ,we rang reception and got no answer ,my husband went down no one there ,he found a very nice young man in the bar and he got another man to check that heating was on ,this man was not very helpful , our room was freezing and i had to put my coat on the bed to keep warm .breakfast next morning wasn't great . Food quality was poor .
Very pleased with our stay. Staff very friendly. Comfortable bed and Lovely breakfast.
Great service, comfortable bed, lovely breakfast. Hotel in great location. Great facilities, pool lovely ????
Stayed in room 109 window was covered in bird poo it was disgusting
Enjoyed our stay excellent staff and nice breakfast overall nothing to complain about
Room very small also very small single beds.Lovely view from room but very noise with traffic non stop
Very friendly staff
Really enjoyed out break away in Waterford...Hotel was nice ...staff very friendly and helpful especially the young man who was on the breakfast shift ...the only one thing was the noise from the street from very early in the morning .
No complaints, everything went smoothly. Comfortable bed, clean room and excellent buffet breakfast. Recommended.
A gr8 hotel only thing was the wifi wasn't good at all but i would recommend it.
The hotel needs a bit of upgrading On the Monday night 16th it was freezing in bar people were all sitting in their coats it is unfair that bar staff have to go out to kitchens to bring in food It was lukewarm by the time you got it also people wanting a drink have to wait while bar staff have to do waitering other than that everything was fine . All staff were very polite and helpful
Went for a trip to hook and stayed overnight in Waterford. Location excellent for bus and train . Would go back again .
This was our 20th Anniversary and when we enquired about a table for food (Which we had booked on line) we were told we would have to eat in the bar . We refused as it was a special occasion so had Togo outside the hotel to eat
Great food and staff room was brilliant the only fault was checking in Time 4pm a bit late would have preferred a bit earlier.
Friendly staff, great location, great breakfast, clean and tidy
Lovely hotel great food great value for money staff very helpful at all times bar staff were excellent at their job nice group of people in the bar great music choice will b back real soon thanks to all at treacys great job
Had a wonderful night In treacys, room was perfect food was lovely and great value for the offer we got staff were extra friendly and helpful
Nice Hotel clean and comfortable lovely breakfast hope to revisit soon
Lovely stay, staff very pleasant. Great deal with Lidl Breaks.
From Sean at the front desk onwards all the staff were very friendly and helpful.
Staff were nice. Hotel reception & bar area were all fine. The Hotel had good entertainment. Food was average. We had breakfast & dinner there. The room we stayed in was clean but very small & stuffy & we were getting a strange smell in it we assumed was coming from a vent outside possible connected to kitchen. The window was very high up & handle to open window was broken. There was a roof shading outside the window & no view other than another window opposite. The Hand basin in bathroom had a few large cracks in it & the toilet was hard to flush.
Staff were all super friendly, rooms are basic but spotlessly clean, entertainment in hotel was very good and enjoyable
Good hotel staff very helpful rooms clean and food good the pool was great location in the heart of the city
Hotel clean but could do with painting .Rads in hallways and doors really in need of a paint job.Service in bar was dreadful on both nights hotel was full yet there was 1 barman who done a great job .When house is full there should be extra staff .Great location ,pool great but a lot of areas with rust ie Jacuzzi.
Staff were terrific.hotel was clean.food was great.breakfast food was freshly cooked and hot.chef needs to improve the porridge.that was only negative. Overall a most enjoyable stay. A married couple played music and sang in the bar on one of the nights.they were great.really enjoyed them.
Sorry to say I would not return to this hotel.
Everything was great the only thing is the pillows were hard bit uncomfortable trying to get a night's sleep
Enjoyable night nice clean bed lovely breakfast a few drinks in the bar what's not to enjoy many thanks
Room was lovely.. Food both dinner and breakfast left alot to be desired. Could do with a revamp.
Treacys is a first class hotel rooms clean and comfortable we ate in both the restaurant and bar menus in both were good and food served promptly was delicious staff kind and friendly
Hotel starting to look tired, could do with a little tlc. Food a bit pricey as it was bar food. Staff were excellent and very helpful, we were early for check-in so they allowed us to leave bags in hotel and collect on check-in.
Great place to stay Great location staff really friendly
The hotel supplied all our necessary requirements and found the staff very pleasant.
Beautiful hotel and location ,food was excellent in the bar not such a great choice in restaurant .our room was very comfortable and had a great view of the river suir .car parking was a bit disappointing as it's quite a bit away from hotel not suitable for anyone with walking difficulties ,however we parked in car park on the quay in front of hotel and paid for it .
It was very dated the rooms very small and the bath was small took a long time to run think it needs an updating but the breakfast was lovely
Room lovely Food good
Nice hotel
Very clean hotel staff Very friendly
Friendly, helpful staff. Good facilities. Good location.
Enjoyed Stay in hotel. Will stay again ????
Very good value for price
Room was spotless clean. Enough room for two. There was a fan in the room which was great as it was very warm when we stayed. Staff are really friendly & helpful. Food is nice also. Have stayed here before & always look forward to returning.
Found no fault with the hotel, lovely food,Large comfortable beds ,good quality pillows. Spotlessly clean, Super friendly staff Leisure centre was great.Outstanding breakfast
Lovely staff. Rooms a bit dated but clean. Food in the restaurant was absolutely gorgeous and very fast friendly service. Breakfast room service was also yummy and prompt . Overall, good value for money, we got a mini break deal for 103 b&b with 2 course evening meal so well worth it. Great.lpcatiin right on the quay. Free Parking just up street at Aldi with ticket validation at reception
Nice hotel in most ways, clean and comfortable. Room was quite small and cramped, hard to actually use the table and chair at the foot of the bed as there was no room. Window appears to be broken, we had to really work to get it to close (even then it wasn't fully, but thankfully it was warm enough weather). The lights were also a bit hit and miss. Breakfast was good, though the toast arrangements are a bit odd. We did have another guest come into our room using their key card which was quite bizarre and a security risk. Not very happy with that. Pool is small and more of a small public leisure centre than most hotel leisure facilities. It was OK but underwhelming.
Great facilities in Waterford city centre
This is a traditional old-style hotel across the bridge from the train station in Waterford. It is very central to all the attractions of the town. The room allocated to me was very clean and the breakfast is plentiful with a good choice. The staff were great and very helpful. It has a traditional bar for a relaxing drink before dinner. I did not use the leisure centre but I hope to on my next visit.
Enjoyed our stay in the hotel. Staff were lovely. Room was very nice and bed comfortable. Breakfast was lovely and plentiful. Enjoyed the music in the pub that evening.
Comfortable room and extremely helpful staff
Hotel was clean but very basic. There were roadworks right outside our room all night the room would fibrate and it sounded like a war zone. When I complaint to reception I got the shrug of a shoulder and said what can we do, we are sorry. We could have been given a room away from the roadworks or notified before arrival.
The hotel is basic but comfortable..Food is good
Enjoyed my stay, room was very clean. The lounge could do with upgrading. The meal was very enjoyable.
Lovely staff. Very central. Breakfast lovely with latte cappuccino choices. Bed very comfortable
Staff were very pleasant on arrival and throughout the stay the family room was perfect , big bathroom and very spacious main room. The breakfast was lovely and we used the pool with the little one. Great hotel overall close right in the city perfect location
The stay was excellent, very good value, super breakfast and free parking. The staff were very friendly and polite and showed a high standard of professionalism. They only small con is the decor. It’s a small bit dated but I like that look. The beds were so comfortable I had a better sleep than at home. The bathroom, beds, carpets and overall hotel was very clean. We had dinner and wow. Fabulous. Well done all at Tracey’s Hotel. We will be back.
Lovely hotel in a great position by the water. Traffic noise is loud in the front bedrooms from 4am. Food was beautiful and plenty of choice. Wi-Fi is poor throughout the hotel. Reception staff, bar staff and restaurant server a young lad very helpful and welcoming. Breakfast staff could smile and engage more politely with tourists. Would stay again but will try some other hotels in the same area too.
Pros = Lovely friendly Staff, comfortable rooms with great beds, fantastic food in both the restaurant and the bar and plenty of it. All requests were covered where possible. Cons = Could do with a lick of paint in some areas and an update as some areas looked really shabby. For me the biggest problem was Internet access. For a city hotel this was very poor. The WiFi and Internet grade needs to be improved significantly. TV choice was poor and those channels that were available were hard to watch at times, even coronation street on tv3 was breaking up. Other than the above we had a great time at Treacy's and will definitely return later in the year. Thanks for a lovely few days. Kindest regards, Teresa.
Decent hotel in central location. Good food and very friendly staff.
The hotel is quite dated, nothing fancy here but spotlessly clean, great location and lovely breakfast
Great trip Front staff at desk very helpful Kersley was outstanding + all staff at meals.
Very busy hotel, check in staff friendly and efficient processing guests. Delighted with room allocated, as per request, it was in a very quiet location. Room was perfect with large comfortable bed. Food both for dinner & breakfast was delicious. Would recommend & look forward to visiting again.
Good Food and very friendly and helpful staff .Good value for money and good location .Free parking is an added bonus .Have stayed here before and will again .Hope to see better quality toilet tissue and its a pity to have to run the tap so long to get warm water ,and if i stay in winter hope the rooms will be warmer ,other than that really enjoyeh my stay
I could find no fault whatsoever with this hotel. Everything about it was great
The service was superb including the team at reception and the restaurant team. The bedroom needs a facelift, step was quite dangerous, bed very comfortable
We booked a family room and it was perfect for our needs. The girls on reception were so helpful and friendly the pool was clean and they provided towels which is always a bonus. Dinner was included in our stay and there was a great selection to choose from.
Very friendly Clean Warm and inviting great value ????. We really enjoyed it thank you.
Lovely hotel, perfect location for getting the bus down, my daughter loved the pool. The food was lovely, staff were especially nice and very accommodating. Will definitely be back
Hotel is a little dated but the facilities and breakfast/dinner deal made it good value for money.
Stopped overnight on journey to West Cork. Staff welcoming and Accommodating of our late arrival for dinner. Dinner and breakfast excellent. Room spotless and comfortable. We were really impressed and the cost was very good value. We would certainly stay there again. Parking is about 2-3 minutes walk away which was not an issue for us but might effect someone with a lot of luggage.
Bedroom was nice found corridors in hotel dark could do with a makeover v good value food nice service gd staff pleasant receptionists friendly but a new uniform wouldn't go a miss on them
Lovely hotel, staff was brilliant, food was excellent. Arrived on a Sunday lovely room and treated like royalty, birthday card and chocolate box for my wife. Highly recommended. Will definitely be back there again.
The Hotel is very central to everything. Staff all helpful and friendly. Rooms very clean, Bathrooms and beds in excellent condition and very comfortable. Food Excellent! Only critic is that Decor is very dated with Brown Wood and Old Room Doors and No Nets or Blinds for privacy when curtains open. Didn't try the Pool but would DEFINITELY STAY AGAIN..
Hotel clean and functional. A bit tired in decor but excellent, accommodating staff, abundance of towels, tea making requirements and welll heated. Great location with lovely view of waterfront. Food basic, just ok. Great music in bar. Free parking. We got an unbeatable rate so fantastic value for money. If you want a clean, comfortable bed in a central location at the right price, highly recommend
Great hotel Great location Great value for money Friendly & helpful staff 100% will come back.
It was great first nite breakfast wasnt the best second nites kids running wild around restaurant nothing was said to them people got up snd left there meal because off it. Staff our very friendly and helpful. Pool area wasnt the cleanest at all. Rooms were lovely and comfortable.
Great staff on reception allowed us to check in early. Only one hitch we witnessed one of the guys serving at the bar being quite rude to another customer
Would highly recommend to stay here great location everything in walking distance staff and food first class can't wait to stay again
Everything excellent. Staff very helpful and pleasant. Value for money exceptional. Will definitely return. Thanks to all for a great few days.
Staff are amazing ,polite and very helpful. Hotel is old fashion style Spotlessly clean and pool is awesome Highly recommend defo returning
The Price for what we got was great! Triple room on two levels very spacious. Not a great choice on menu & this hotel has regular tours of 100’s staying & eating, so can be noisy.
Signage to car park not easily accessible on arrival. At peak times not convenient as loading bay was full and it is also located at traffic lights. We were allocated room no 337 which is in Block B and the shower was impossible to work due to part missing and toiletries to shower impossible to access. There was also bunk bed bus in our room for children which made our room small. Carpet on stairway filthy and didn’t appear to be professionally cleaned in a long time if ever. We didn’t see safe until leaving as it was located at ground level when it should be at eye level. On a positive note the evening meal was very good but could be more adventurous with the morning menu…no fresh fruit/prunes. There was no bread laid out or pastries the only bread offered was toast. Staff were friendly and helpful but I don’t think I would stay there again or recommend it.
Central in Waterford city . Staff were friendly. The hotel could do with some painting it looks worn in places
Very central. Nice hotel. Rooms are clean, just need a bit of TLC..lovely buffet breakfast. Didn't use the pool or leisure centre. Parked across the road, as closer rather then free carpark. Only €7.50 for 24 hours. Payed online. My 3rd time stating here.
We are already talking of returning to TREACYS HOTEL WATERFORD soon. We stayed at TREACYS 5 to 10 March, 2023. Leah at Reception took time to explained everything about the hotel and gave us a very pleasant welcome. BEDROOM: Our Bedroom was lovely; spacious with a great view of the river; The Bed was very comfortable and there was ample storage space for clothes. We had a nice coffee table and chairs and Tea/Coffee etc., were replenished each morning. The BATHROOM was well maintained and had a bath and overhead shower. Towels were changed each morning when our room was serviced. BREAKFAST was great with a very large selection of cereals, fruits, yogurts and The Full Irish Breakfast together with Toast / Tea / Coffee. DINNER The Menu had a great selection of STARTERS; with many choices; and MAINS with lots of Meat Dishes; Beef, Pork, Chicken and Fish. DESSERTS: had plenty of choices. Also available was a nice CHILDRENS' Menu. TREACYS HOTEL has lots of areas in which to relax and read or have a chat with friends. LOUNGE/BAR: The area is most comfortable and WALLACE Restaurant is pleasant. We did not visit the SWIMMING POOL or GYM and some guests told us that it was very good - we will visit on our next trip to TREACYS! All members of the hotel staff were very professional, pleasant, friendly and helpful. We will return to TREACYS HOTEL in the near future. Philomena.
The staff were excellent Food was lovely, bed comfortable but pillows too flat. Disabled room has small incline outside door which is hard to push wheelchair up Nice and warm and you can turn heat off , near to all shops and train station Leisure center enjoyable Really enjoyed our stay.
The hotel is very dated and needs a new fresh look, however the rooms were clean and comfortable. The breakfast was good but basic we had dinner included in our package and it was lovely, good choice on menu. We found the staff lovely and friendly, we didn't use the leisure facilities.
Enjoyed our stay. Lovely staff but hotel and leisure centre a bit dated. Especially the colour scheme in corridors.
the hotel itself was clean and the facilities of the leisure centre were ok. breakfast food was lovely but the food in the bar we ordered arrived out luke warm and was a rediculious wait time for it and drinks were very expensive but other than that it is an ok hotel for staying in if you arent spending all the time in the hotel only for sleeping. would not stay again. was dissapointed for the price we paid for 2 nights that was not quite up to standard.
Had a lovely time at hotel.Staff lovely and couldn’t do enough for us.Will definitely return
First trip away with my girlfriend really enjoyed it, hotel was lovely and staff were very friendly and welcoming
First trip away with my girlfriend really enjoyed it, hotel was lovely and staff were very friendly and welcoming
I and my Husband have stayed here a good few times always enjoyed it, But this visit was so dissapointing. The Staff were so rude and made us feel like we were putting them out no manners whats so ever Bar staff was not a bit mannerly either definitely wont be returning.
I've stayed here a few times. It's a lovely hotel, friendly staff, rooms are basic but clean. Always enjoy my stay here.
We all enjoyed our stay at your hotel Rooms clean and brite. Plenty of tea / coffee. Staff very friendly all though your hotel. Meals excellent. Would recommend hotel to friends
The room and the staff were lovely and very helpful but the breakfast was very poor we had to ask for a croissant and twice were told when we attended breakfast that we were to late for poached eggs or a pancake. WiFi very bad too.
Great hotel, very close to Waterford train station only a 5-10 minute walk over the bridge, Breakfast was absolutely gorgeous as was the food that we got in the bar Friday evening, definitely recommend this hotel to family and friends
We had a great few days at Treacys hotel, i have only one small problem the window did not close all the way and that allowed traffic noise and cold air in, it could do with a draft excluder fitted. It was just something small but it will most likely get worse in the future.
Great value for money very central hotel lovely staff & food room we're roasting hot & large
Rating the hotel was not straightforward as there were negatives but also positives. I was also conscious that the deal we were on was exceptionally good value. I would however recommend this hotel to a friend as the staff were efficient, friendly and helpful. I would mention though that there needed to be more staff on. I would also mention to anyone I was recommending the hotel to that the room was nice and very clean but noise from the adjoining rooms was VERY easy to hear as was noise from people passing in the corridor. Thankfully this didn’t really affect our sleep but I could see how this might be a problem for some people. Food was nice with a good selection to choose from so don’t feel anyone would have any problem getting something to their taste. Location was very good.
The food was lovely entertainment in the bar good . The rooms could be a bit warmer otherwise great
Very relaxing weekend break, staff are very helpful and professional, went above and beyond with a birthday card for my wife in the room upon arrival! Thanks again.very reasonable...
I didn’t like the breakfast it’s like they were put in the microwave and reheated the dinner was lovely service for dinner was a bit slow but finner was lovely are room was amazing but the noise from kids next door early in the morning was so bad recommend if your staying to ask to be put away from kids if you want a relaxed stay
Across from the train station and beside the town room clean and service each day food ok staff ok car park 2 block's away so did not drive went by train ????
Stayed here for the third time .Love its location ,and value for money ,and will stay again .Places like Tramore and Dunmore East are not too far away from Traceys
Overall everything was good. .staff very nice ..but a bit scruffy at front desk ..rooms clean but chilly...and 3 of us had showers next morning which were all cold. ..
If this hotel was rated on the staff alone it would be a 5 * they were extremely helpful and pleasant. But unfortunately the hotel is in bad need of an upgrade wouldn't have stayed 2 night as room was at the front and was extremely noisy . Again a plus was the food it was very good had a problem with a bottle of presseco but was rectified pretty quick
My sister & I brought our mam the hotel for her 70th birthday. Couldn't fault the hotel, the room had 3 single beds, perfect for us, with a view of the harbour, stunning. The breakfast & evening meal was absolutely fantastic ????. The receptionist was very helpful, nothing was to much trouble for her. There was live music in the bar on the night, which our mother loved. Overall we'd go back again and with lidl breaks, it was great value.
Nice clean room with comfy bed. Girl on reception very helpful and friendly so to was the young man in the restaurant, very good choice for breakfast we would definately stay at this hotel again.
The hotel is in a great location and the staff are wonderful but there's a few issues to be sorted. The towels are small, cheap mine had a hole. A broken floor tile beside bath R121, cheap limited choice at breakfast
We ended up staying for two nights on the lidl deal, was fantastic value. Staff are friendly and very helpful, cleanliness of hotel was excellent. Food was superb.
Beautiful food, lovely staff. Clean and cosy. Near shops restaurants bars ect… What more could you ask for.
Always a pleasure staying here. The staff are great and the food is good. A little issue with the television reception, but nothing serious.
Pleasant stay staff were so friendly... food was amazing and entertainment was good.
Very nice hotel, had a great time.
We are regular visitors to your hotel and this particular time we had no hot water in the room which i do understand was due to a boiler problem as well as that we were in room 103 and inside all night we could hear a humming noise which we think could have been a machine for drinks quite close to our door so we didnt get to sleep at all which we told the lady on desk next morn. Our evening meal was beautiful and lady in charge was lovely and bfast was lovely to. I hate to have a complaint as i work myself in accomodation and deal with complaints as well. We love Waterford and indeed Treaseys is our favourite hotel. Just had to mention these sorry still will continue to drive from kildare to Waterford thank you kindly see you soon .
Nice hotel for the price we paid. Food was average.Bar was good and staff were great. Leisure centre could do with a revamp and cleaning.pool is not designed for young kids.
Home away from Home , good location and good food ,.nice bar ,good value for money ????
Very good food lovely
Hotel has really gone down hill. Not enough staff in bar on Sunday evening. Quality of meal was very poor. Breakfast quality was also very poor, everything was deepfried and so greasy. Really disappointed with the stay. Reception staff were good.
I booked bed breakfast and 2 course meal and didn't get the meal she said it wasn't included
Perfect location. Rooms were spotless. Evening meal was delicious. Staff were very helpful and friendly.
Hotel rooms basic, clean, comfortable. Corridors to rooms very shabby, gloomy. Meal included but food poor quality, not the worst but expected a lot better. Drinks over priced in bar. However, staff friendly and helpful
Great location friendly staff
Myself and 4 of my friends had a lovely stay at Treacys hotel. Food was lovely and all the staff very friendly and helpful.
I was so disappointed with the hotel i am wheelchair bound and they put me and my two sisters right at the back of hotel on the third floor just to get there we had to take three lifts so I said no this was a fire hazard for me. We were then shown a family room where the corridor to the room was that narrow my wheelchair wouldn't of got down through it. That was all the options we were offered and we were told nothing else could facilitate us. We spent over and hour going around the hotel. We had to ask for our money back. At 3.45pm we left and had to try and find another hotel. We have stayed here multiple times and have never had an issue previously. There seems to have being work going on in the hotel and possibly this was a factor in the issues however it was not acceptable at all. You currently do not cater for wheelchair accessibility and it resulted in a very distressing day.
We had a lovely weekend at the hotel room was spotless staff were very friendly and the food was great couldn't fault it will definitely stay here again
To be fair dinner both nights was nice. The breakfast not so good. Staff are friendly & helpful but seemed terrified you would leave without paying for a drink bringing down card machine in the middle.of dinner for payment of drinks is a bit unusual but wouldnt imagine thats their fault maybe policy or something. The rooms where clean but goodness the entire hotel from outside in needs a complete overhaul. Its just tired & everything looks grubby, run down & uncared for, which is not the fault of the household staff. Usually I book hotels that have pools as I love to swim but just couldnt bring myself to use the pool. Sorry for the negativity, whoever your photographer is they do an excellent job as the photos look nothing like what you see in real life.
Poor food on one night and very noisy room, which severely impacted our sleep and the sleep of our two young kids.
Very helpful staff, lovely clean hotel, lovely dinner.. Couldn't fault it
The hotel staff were really unprofessional and their hospitality left a lot to be desired, the food was really poor. Certainly will not be returning or recommending this hotel.
Lovely hotel great food friendly staff, very clean, live music. Nice room and swimming pool. But couldn't get app in spa and not enough staff to serve food in restaurant and bar food.
Had to leave early, hotel staff rude and inexperienced filthy hotel with lack of facilities rushed at dinner couldn't get toilet roll, wait for towels after swim guy busy on phone, smoke but in room, left early and didn't have one evening meal as it was an awful rushed experience and overcharged on arrival. Staff are inexperienced and very unhelpful. Couldn't fit medicine in fridge and couldn't accommodate. Hotel still haven't got back about my refund for what we paid for and didn't get. Disappointed kids and waste of time off work and kids midterm ruined.
Good hotel, friendly staff...room was Ok... nothing fancy...but boiling hot, even with no heating on... Good entertainment on Fri and sat nights , Sunday noon...food was lovely...gone a little bit more expensive since last stay...5 euro for Pot T for 2...
Had a really nice stay ere .check in was straight forward all staff were lovely from reception staff to cleaning staff really friendly bunch made us feel so welcome .Breakfast was lovely lots of variety to choose from food in bar was also good all in all would return ????
room very clean dinner and breakfast excellent hotel staff very welcome and friendly will be staying there again
The hotel is basic, but staff were friendly, and the location is great. For the price, it's good value and we would stay again
Very poor hotel, needs total refurbishment.
Great location and very high room standards.Staff very friendly and helpful
Very friendly staff. Never left waiting for anything. Lovely food and all very reasonably priced. Entertainment in the bar on a Monday night a plus..
This was the worst place I ever stayed in..from the parking to the size of hotel room, parking was 15min walk away, room was so small could not swing a cat in it,windows in room was tiny and was not enough air get through it,bathtub was so small could barely fit in it and I wouldn't bee a big guy, wanted breakfast in room but myself and partner wouldn't of been able sit together as the table was nor big enough to sit at room was dirty and smelled horrible, food wasn't great so over all I would not stay here ever again
Hotel a bit dated but clean rooms a bit small. Food was very good and the staff were excellent and very friendly
Stayed in a triple room, room lovely, staff really nice. The only fault I could write was that we were in the front of the hotel lovely view but all through the night very noisy with trucks and cars.
Enjoyed our stay at Treacys , will book again soon. Thanks to all the staff. Henry.
Excellent staff are the key for this hotel. An older style hotel in a very convenient location. Rooms while small were adequate and linen very comfortable. A little dated decor in places. Food was top notch and a lovely fresh cooked breakfast. Will return again.
We had a lovely girls night away, the staff and service was excellent, evening meal and breakfast delicious, my only negative was the way our gins were served to us, no proper glass, but that might not concern anyone else
Very very old room floors creaking when walking on them. Not a great choice at breakfast buffet. Air conditioning not working in room so warm we couldn't sleep.
Nice hotel good staff.Resturant had a good selection of food at a reasonable price, however breakfast menu didn't have much choice for a vegetarian in the cooked breakfast section
Staff and food were great.. Room badly configured, also woke before 6am due to deliveries/trucks outside our window. Leisure centre is continually busy/ no concession given to hotel guests. No where safe to leave Room key, staff not allowed look after it. Given 1 towel to dry yourself. Recommended by welcome pack to change and shower in Room after use of pool/ gym..not always practical.
A very nice hotel, staff friendly and attentive. Food lovely. Within walking distance of the main streets and museums. However it does not have a quiet, cosy resident's lounge to sit in the evening. Everything else was great.
hotel food service very good
Really enjoyed stay lonley food and staff
Staff are very friendly and helpful. Plenty of entertainment also
Reasonably priced to stay. Good package and great to have entertainment in the bar on week days
Staff very friendly. Breakfast excellent. Loved the music in the evenings. Good value.
Hotel was very good value considering current prices. Could not praise staff highly enough especially Kelly and John. Parking was within reasonable walking distance and set down spot was usually free at front door. However the hotel could do with a bit of refurbishment and soundproofing. Indeed the entire locality looks very rundown and neglected and gives a poor first impression of Waterford when you cross the bridge. That said I would definitely stay in Treacys again.
The hotel itself is very dated. The corridors are narrow and floors uneven with many lumps and bumps. One day it rained and there was a bucket in the middle of the corridor collecting rain. The room was better than the corridors but was not without its quirks. The handrail, towel rail, hooks on the back of the bathroom door were all coming off the wall, a nail was also exposed on the door. The cups in the room were covered in layers of dust and grime. The walls had mould and coffee splatters on them. It was warm and noisy with shouting at 4am every night, despite our stay being early week. The hotel is located along the waterfront, many of the surrounding buildings were disused and boarded up. It was in an easy location to popular attractions, about ten minutes walk, which was handy. Free cark parking is in a multistorey complex 2 minutes away. Food wise, we had breakfast one morning, it was fine, there was a selection of cereals, cooked breakfast and fruit that was not fresh. Staff in the restaurant were attentive and courteous. Staff on the front desk were very nice too. In fact staff were probably the best part of this hotel stay, being let down by poor infrastructure and decor.
Having stayed in treacys hotel in Ennis several times I was kind of expecting the same in Waterford. The staff were friendly the smoking area needs to be looked at because you have no access to it before 10.30am so I had 2 stand out side the hotel in the rain to have my smoke .also there is no privacy out in the smoking area as the public pass you by and I had people stop and as me for a smoke while I was sitting there which I gave them. I normally spend my time eating and drinking in the hotel were ever i stay but on this occasion I did that away from the hotel. So yes I was A bit disappointed with my stay.
Staff very friendly and helpfull. Rooms a bit dated
I had a lovely two night lovely . Friendly atmosphere and staff. food was excellent and great music on the nights.
Hotel is clean and tidy but a bit outdated rooms ,but they are comfortable, food is nice and staff are friendly, the main thing I can say is the parking is 2 streets away in a shopping center car park which is not good for someone with a walking disability
Hotel was okay, leisure centre was very busy which is expected but there was a few people who just constantly took over the jacuzzi and we were down in the pool area for over an hour and couldn’t get into it due to the same two people just chopping and changing between the jacuzzi and sauna. The breakfast, the scramble egg was a little over salted and the sausages weren’t cooked properly and wrapper ended up been left on one of the sausages.
Brilliant value for money. Receptionist was most helpful with parking app.
The staff were very helpful. The room was old fashioned but comfortable and had everything you could want. The food we had was very tasty
This is a very nice, centrally located hotel. Our room was cosy, with one of the most comfortable beds I've ever slept on! Staff were welcoming and friendly. Hotel has busy roads surrounding it but the double glazing blocked noise out. Food was very good, try the apple crumble, delicious! Only niggling comment, breakfast was cold, yet there was an unused plate warmer. Need to turn up heat on buffet bar. I would definitely recommend this hotel.
Service and food in restaurant was not great. What was ordered was wrong, same piece of fish was sent back out with sauce removed and new sauce on the side, asked waitress if that was the same piece of fish and told no. The quality of food not very good at breakfast either. Our feedback at reception when leaving fell on deaf ears. Waste of time saying anything. Room was fine and location of hotel was good.
Lovely hotel, staff so friendly, great location, Great atmosphere in bar, great food Will visit again
Needs updating good value for money Staff friendly
Hotel good location, breakfast good. Down side had a room facing street found it hard to sleep next time I’d stay there I’d ask for a back room
Fantastic hotel, staff were so helpful and the food was amazing
Thoroughly enjoyed our stay. Very clean, very helpful staff n breakfast was great
Couldn't fault the hotel at all food from the bar was amazing ! And our room had a big double bed and 2 singles big enough room and big bathroom spotless.. would come back again! ???? Car park is a 3 min walk away from the building
It was to mark our 30th anniversary. All pre-booking was very professional and our arrival at the hotel. The food and drink was good throughout the weekend and all staff were friendly and polite to us at all times. All of our queries were sorted. Although the hotel may be old fashioned we enjoyed the whole experienced of hotel and spa. Regards Aidan & Bernie wee co. of Louth.
Nice hotel
Great spot for a one night stay, very small bedroom for 4, hotel & Leisure centre in dyer need of updating but the dining room service & staff make up for it especially Marion who went out of her way for celebrating our sons birthday Overall we enjoyed our stay Thanks ????
Unfortunately the room is not fit for three people had to keep avoiding each other to get around the room. Food was ok. Staff where very nice.
Accommodation was very good as was evening meal. Breakfast was good with no delays but we would like warm plates for a warm breakfast. Very good location
Food in the restaurant for dinner wasnt good, its reasonable at €27 for 3 course, but not worth it, then a bottle koppaberg cider €7.50 in the bar and restaurant same price in both (absolutely ridiculous). Buffet breakfast €20 yet again quality poor and tea/coffee and toast has to be served by staff, 1 cup of coffee no pot, hot food also staff serve it you go over and the lady serving was so obnoxious, i ordered 1 sausage 1 egg and 1 rasher that was it, now the rooms are spacious, kid bunk bed is cool, other single springs coming through like a camp bed mattress, double bed was very comfortable, bar area very busy but nice kid play area off it, i would return but wouldnt eat/drink here
Great hotel, nice kids area inside bar, food wasnt great
Really enjoyed our stay at Tracy's the staff where great friendly people only issue I had was our room was very small for a 3 night stay compared to the rest of our group staying for 1 or 2 nights other than that it was really enjoyable
Great friendly staff. The food is exceptional in the restaurant and bar. Outstanding value for money. I would recommend with no hesitation.
Had an enjoyable stay here in a triple room with some friends. Dinner was lovely and service was good. We enjoyed our stay ??
I brought the carpark situation to the attention of the hotel receptionist when I was there. There was broken glass and rubbish, soiled condoms and wrappers, human excrement, drug paraphernalia (needles, burnt tin foil, etc.), people actively participating in heroin use which I witnessed first hand and really no one should have to see this while they're on holiday or anytime of course. Really something needs to be done swiftly to remedy that situation or the hotel will suffer from it.
Needs a refurbishment completed out dated just so dull
We had a great weekend ,staff were the best I have came across in a while all lovely and could not do enough. Great value .
Great location - lovely bed - bit of wear and tear on walls and doors - food ok - gym very stuffy - no ventilation and exercise machines too close to each other - staff were friendly
Food is very expensive and not worth the price. Breakfast was ok , no pastries or scones and only jars of chopped fruit Overall food was very poor
I was there with my 2 kids and my friends had all their kids with them.. We all had a great night.
This hotel is fantastic for kids. My daughter loved kids club. We had a ball. The staff were so kind and friendly. The location is ideal. Walking distance to the shops.
Lovely family break away. Staff are amazing. Especially the girls in the kids club & Ivan who looked after us at breakfast.
Lovely family break away. Staff are amazing. Especially the girls in the kids club & Ivan who looked after us at breakfast.
Overall very good. While it was self service for breakfast the tea/coffee and toast were served to you. However it took 3 attempts to get these. Finally brought to table but we had finished our breakfast. Other than that excellent.
Very friendly staff,The food was excellent,Perfect location right in the middle of all the action.Hotel rooms could do with a refresh this would be my only gripe.
We had a lovely time the boys loved everything from the double decker bunk beds to the pool and the lovely welcoming staff and lovely breakfasts. The old character of the hotel added to the comfort and fun of our boys. We had a great family break and enjoyed the warm friendly atmosphere of the hotel and staff that reflected the warm welcoming nature of Waterford City.
Hotel decor outdated could do with a vamp, but overall we had a lovely stay, food was amazing & staff were very attentive actually couldn't do enough for us, excellent value for money, very cosy warm hotel
Had a really lovely family break.
Have visited this hotel many times and have always enjoyed my stay. Unfortunately on this occasion it was not to my satisfaction. Showers in leisure center absolutely freezing, did let the staff no about this and was told to let it run to warm up which it didn't. Spoke too to a female member of staff on leaving to let her no it never warmed up she said seems amused by this. lots of people in the changing room were given out. Food in bar very cold and badly presented did let the waitress no and she tried to change same but made no difference still cold. On arrival neither WiFi or tv working maintenance did try to fix but kept cutting in and out. But on a good note reception staff and breakfast staff were really nice and efficient.
Was told the hotel was closed by Spa. Rearranged to stay elsewhere, then told by hotel it was in fact open.
Hotel was perfect . Best staff member has to be tall young lady who served us breakfast . Very attentive - brought us teas sbd coffees. We were still eating cereal so she said she would wait to bring our toast until she saw us get up fir our hot breakfast . I arrived back to the table and 10 seconds later the lady was there with our piping hot toast . Now that’s service . Sorry I can’t remember her name , maybe nikka. She checked on us another couple of times . I mentioned her to the lady who freaked us at the door when I was leaving
Great hotel, very central and very nice welcoming staff. Food was good and everything was clean. Good value for money.
Very enjoyable stay at this hotel.. will be back hopefully in the future..
Staff very friendly and very helpful food good room and bed comfortable
Lovely relaxing break, situated in a lovely spot for shopping, staff very friendly and food was lovely, great value ,will definitely be back
Had a very pleasant stay at hotel & staff were lovely
Great weekend overall beds comfortable staff brilliant
Food was excellent staff were nice and helpful. Room comfortable
When we arrived the room was a bit cold.It just needed the thermostat highered up.The hotel car park is up a bit from the hotel which was not so great as my wife uses a disability scooter and it's a very hilly road back to the hotel.Having said that the public car park is straight across the road and only costs €8 for 24 hrs.The food in both the bar and restaurant was delicious. The staff were friendly and helpful. It's a very central hotel for walking around Waterford city. The train and bus station are both within walking distance to the hotel.Would recommend this hotel.
Staff are amazing they could not do enough. Hotel is spotless clean... We had dinner in the restaurant and I must say the steak was amazing.. Hats off the the chef 100%.... Restaurant manager was a lovely woman and she made feel right at home... She is a credit to the hotel.. The owners should look into upgrading the rooms as it really let's the place down... Creaking floor boards from the room above kept us awake most of the night as the guests where having a mini party..
Great hotel with great staff. We really enjoyed our stay
I stay in Treacys Hotel ay least 4 times a year. Great helpful syaff. Meals are fabulous. Leisure Centre is a bonus. Cant fault this hotel and hope to be back therr soon Also very reasonable
Food was excellent staff were nice and helpful. Room comfortable
I was disappointed with the fact that they didn’t clean the room. They said it was covid but upon further investigation I found out that it’s hotel policy rather than regulations. The option should have been given to the individual customer. When you go away you want to be free from cleaning or making beds. Otherwise it was okay. I enjoyed the live music. Staff very friendly.
The rooms need to be done up badly they are very run down
Thank you so much for my Stay in Tracey Hotel. The food was delicious and the Staff was so nice and Helpful.Thank you
Nice friendly staff
Staff friendly. Food was good. Rooms and pool could do with been refurbished.
The room was spacious and clean, the shower was lovely and powerful and the staff were so friendly and helpful. Really enjoyed the stay.
Great location but found decor very dated, needs to be updated. Breakfast very limited.
Staff nice and friendly evening meal on Saturday night was very very bad, I said it to the girl at desk when we were leaving, wouldn't go back because of that reason
Breakfast was very good but Dinner was not good. Also hotel is a good walking distance to the centre of the city. Staff very friendly and helpful
food was amazing. nice hotel, great value
We stayed 3 nights and evening meal. The hotel was lovely and the food was great The staff was great, always check on us and very pleasant people. Great hotel very helpful to.
Beautiful room, great location and nice staff. Breakfast was very poor standard, need more options for vegetarians.
Stayed here for wedding anniversary and it was an ideal hotel. Food and Drink were spot on. The only criticism I would give is, there is nowhere around to advise customers to be quiet and refrain from being noisy and respect other customers when returning to their rooms. I understand people are having fun, but there is also people there for a quiet relaxing break. I will likely return for future stay
Great food great staff great atmosphere really enjoyed our stayed
We had a great weekend, the staff were lovely and Marian The customer service manager was lovely and took great care of us. Thank you for the chocolates for my birthday. It's the little things that mean so much.
Just back from a lovely weekend stay at tracy's. The Manager and staff are very friendly they go out of their way to make sure you enjoy your stay . Food was lovely and the entertainment was great a bit of normality while keeping safe
The hotel is so comfortable. Food was lovely and plentiful. Cannot praise the staff enough they are so pleasant and helpful. It is our second time there this year. Hope to go again
Good location and nice staff. Love the pool
Hotel was in the perfect location, 5 minute walk from the train station. The staff were lovely and very helpful and the food was delicious. The room was a bit small but the beds were comfy and the pool is great.
Room good. Breakfast very good. Dinner very bad. Why can't hotels have a nice bit of fish for dinner. Not food like carvery
Lovely hotel food great, staff friendly couldn't be any better.
Enjoyed a lovely 3 night break, food lovely and so was the staff. This was our third visit to this hotel and will be returning. ????
Basic hotel, basic accommodation, breakfast good, evening meal poor, overall cost of stay reasonable for what it was.
Clean comfortable hotel with very friendly staff and very close to everything in Waterford city
Great location right on the Quay. Extremely friendly staff, from the receptionist when we checked in to the staff serving breakfast the next morning . Room was lovely, comfy and clean. A few squeaky floorboards along the corridors could probably be looked at. Leisure centre pool was lovely but disappointed that the sauna and jacuzzi were closed still. Thermal pool in the spa was still closed which was also disappointing. Would recommend a stay here. Only negative was the car park that was free to park, The Glen, very run down and signs of drug use on the stairwell. Would not walk alone to the car. If staying again I would pay the e8 for 24 hour parking at the public car park across from the hotel for safety reasons.
The staff were fantastic but unfortunately this hotel needs a major overhaul .
Other residents above our room making noise during the night. No porridge on the menu for breakfast for my mother, she would have liked that added to the breakfast menu.
Great weekend
Lovely food and drink. The staff were very friendly and accommodating.
Very pleasant stay in comfortable surroundings and a nice ambience
Central Hotel, close to city centre. Comfortable beds and lovely breakfast. Room slightly noisy with main road outside. Staff were very helpful. Enjoyed our stay.
This is a good hotel with decent food, good rooms, a nice bar and helpful staff . Swimming pool excellent positively bath like (lovely and warm) This hotel may not suit everyone, it meanders a bit and is of an older type, but if your looking for a reasonable hotel centrally located there are few better, overall great value & We shall return.
Loved this hotel, location was great. Room was perfect and very clean. Food was great and staff were very courteous. Only downside was the noisy traffic outside- even with the windows closed it was still very loud!
Room was very disappointing, tiolet not working, had to run the tap for twenty minutes to get cold water to brush your teeth, put in a room right over a generator so got no sleep due to the constant noise all day and night, room was a furnace and could not open the window because of the noise. Only good part was the staff very pleasant even though they were under pressure they still provide great service
Opposite bus station is very convenient. Cannot praise the staff enough, especially in the restaurant which runs so smoothly and efficiently. Room spacious although a long intertwining corridor to find it. Excellent location, close to shops and only 20 min drive to Tramore or Dunmore Easr.
Had a brilliant time, the pool was a perfect temperature, the room was spotless, we had breakfast and dinner in the hotel and it was delicious, great location, ideal for a shopping trip, will definitely go again cannot wait for our next visit.
We had a great stay, lovely hotel staff were so nice and friendly. Food was gorgeous. Will definitely be back
Clean, good location, good selection for breakfast. Friendly staff
Warm welcome. Room very clean. Staff very friendly. I would advise to book the bar for drinks/meals as it can get very busy. Great location.
My stay at treacys was very good value for money and the beds comfortable too
Hotel is very central staff very friendly food was amazing ????very quick service in the restaurant and bar would highly recommend
The. Staff and food were 100% accomation need up dating. Bed linen need to be looked at poor condition hotel needs a revamp and parking needs to be looked at 2 time in Traceys and it still looks the same or worse in 15yrs
Staff very frendey right beside everything .
The. Staff and food were 100% accomation need up dating. Bed linen need to be looked at poor condition hotel needs a revamp and parking needs to be looked at 2 time in Traceys and it still looks the same or worse in 15yrs
Lovely hotel lovely staff great location very comfortable beds just car park a little walk away otherwise all great
Lovely hotel lovely please courteous staff , food very good with very speedy service,,hotel is situated beside the start of the Greenway which really adds to. It overall a great place to stay,
Great few days staying in Tracy's for a girls staycation, location good, hotel staff very friendly and professional. Food was delicious.. Will return soon.
We had a lovely few days break, food very good , rooms comfortable and staff very friendly. Would certainly go back again . Maureen Brocklebank.
I deducted 1 point because the room was small. Maybe a bit unfair. Although the room was small it was sufficient for the few days we were there. Staff very nice and helpful from the receptionists to the waiters/waitresses/housekeeping. Food was excellent. Evening menu very good. Situation excellent. Fantastic value. Will definitely return.
very friendly great location i enjoyed it
We thoroughly enjoyed our stay in this hotel , rooms were spotless . Food and service were excellent . Staff all very efficient though one member of reception could have been a bit friendlier. Overall we had a great stay and would definitely return in the future .
Location was great .The food was great .The staff were very friendly and helpful. We were sleeping over just over the street area which meant we were awake from 6am because traffic on Merchants Quay got busy at that time .When we stay again I must remember to ask for a room away from street area.Other than that everything was fine and we will stay again.
Had a lovely stay ,our room was in block b and was quiet , booked table in bar both nights food was nice , we didnt use the pool but overall really enjoyed the break
The hotel was clean, nice and the food was good. Good value for money.
We stayed for 3 nights all I can say it was fantastic staff were excellent everything was perfect I’d definitely come back again ????
Rooms lovely food was fab staff were so attentive would deffo stay again
Hotel was nice on ground floor, the food was fab. But the halls were filthy along where our room was, there was rubbish and empty glasses and bottle all over it until the morning after.
Fantastic location close to Greenway cycle track, fantastic for shopping and lovely staff, hotel very clean , food ok
My room was located at the front and the noise was unbelievable, first night I had 53 minutes of sleep, 2nd and 3rd night I had about 3 to 4 hours of sleep. I was going to ask to be moved after the first night but the hotel was full to capacity. The bar food and breakfast was cold on all occassions which we had to make do with as no there was no other place to eat due to Covid. In the bar there was no social distance being adhered to which I thought was unacceptable due to the current climate.
Rooms clean food was absolutely beautiful could not fault this hotel we enjoyed our stay
Great family stay at Traceys Hotel Waterford july 2021...only fault was not a great selection of food at the 6pm till 9pm menu...also prices have increased
The hotel was a pleasure to stay in the staff were oustanding and the service was brillant.I must say that the owner of the hotel was a very nice lady she made us so welcome and always made sure we were well looked after. We go to traceys hotel every year as a family of 30 and we were always very happy with everything. We will diffently be back. The very best of luck to ye all.
Great staff Great location Great food Covid restrictions limit numbers in the bar so make sure to book in well in advance
Staff were amazing and very hospitable especially in dining room
Lovely Hotel, Spotlessly Clean. Highly Efficient Friendly Staff. Great Location. Great Food.
Lovely family owned hotel. Staff couldn't do enough for you, very friendly. Felt safe moving about the hotel most guests wore masks. Food in bar and restaurant and breakfast was very tasty. Beds were amazing, the pool was well managed. Had an amazing couple of days and got to experience the Greenway on my new E-bike ???? ????????Thanks again
friendly and good value; welcoming staff.
We had a very pleasant stay in your hotel. Found everything to be OK, but the carpets were very dirty, this needs to be addressed. All the staff were lovely
Great location. Food was lovely and staff very friendly. Very clean and comfortable room and bathroom was spotless. Only negative, there was no brandy in the bar on one of the nights.
Because we have to stay at home due to covid. We picked Tracey as part of our staycation. We had a very good stay
Good value hotel.Food was great. Rooms were spacious and clean. Car park needs to be totally changed. Its dirty and stinks.
Lovely hotel wonderful staff excellent food and service will definitely return
We had a great time, the staff was very friendly and trying really hard to make our stay enjoyable, breakfast and dinner arrangements were perfect under these Covid circumstances, room was clean and beds very comfortable. No phone in the room, though, but perhaps because of Covid? Spa treatment was excellent ! Overall, very good value !
Had a lovely time in Treacys hotel. We had asked for rooms overlooking the river but on arrival they were very very small and noisy but the staff were so nice and changed our rooms even though they were so busy. The food was top class and staff wonderful and very organized despite Covid. Only down side would be the hotel could do with painting and modernising and the window sills in bar area very dusty, but I'm booked to go back in October so looking forward to it
Really enjoyed our stay here. Great location but didn't find the staff very friendly was just something very cold about it.
Hotel was very cold when I ask why was told it was because of cover I said there was no need to have all the windows open and I was told that was the way it was we had to have our coats on in the bar was not happy
Incredibly friendly staff spotlessly clean gorgeous food and very good facilities lovely bar and ideally located will definitely stay again would recommend to anybody great sfay
Arrived on the 14th left a day early the food was terrible the bar was for residents only that did not happen we had an evening meal it was cold will not be recemend to my family and friends
Was my 3rd time to stay here wat a lovely place staff are so friendly food is fabulous and room was so clean I'm so looking forward to going back again dis year
Excellent experience with the best staff in all areas including the lounge and restaurant and leisure centre with very helpful reception and services staff . I would highly recommend Treacy’s Hotel Waterford and I have already Booked my next stay with them. Top Location with shopping a 5min walk and Sandy beaches a 15min drive away also right next to Greenway for a cycle or walk . Looking forward to revisiting… thanks again for a lovely staycation.
Pleasant ,relaxing, break. Staff lovely especially Paul and Kellie. Thank you.
Staff were exceptional!..very friendly and helpful. Bedroom quite small and very basic. Food was homely and came in a timely manner.
Very friendly staff . Enjoyed my stay
Just back from a weekend break at Treacys hotel waterford. What a lovely time was had by all. Food was very nice and piping hot and the hospitality of all the staff was second to none. A huge thank you to Marian and Paul on the wonderful service and attention to detail they gave us. Will definetely be back see you in August. Thank you for your wonderful hospitality.
Hotel was very nice. We had a nice big room. The food in the bar was lovely. The staff were very helpful and nice to deal with. It was very good value for the money we paid.
We really enjoyed our stay in treacys, this is our 5th time staying here and will be back again, staff are lovely and friendly. Breakfast was great, Swimming pool was lovely and warm Food brilliant
Lovely hotel will go back again. Friendly and helpful staff
Great hotel, lovely staff, food was great, will defo be staying again.
Enjoyed my stay. Staff very accommodating and very aware of COVID requirements. Hotel definitely needs a makeover.
35 of our family Members stayed In this hotel 18th-20th of September... we booked it back in May to give our 81 year old mother something to look forward too, overall it was a very pleasant stay, All Staff were so nice and accommodating.. Shout out to Marian who Presented Mam with a box of chocolates on our 2nd night at dinner.. It was a lovely touch!! Thankyou to all in Treacys hotel
Staff very professional... and special praise for Mella serving breakfast absolutely adorable and kind, overall a nice experience, one recommendation though the outside could be cleaned up and supply an ashtray for the smokers instead of the plant pots and street. Margaret McCarthy
Treacys Hotel is in a great riverside location in the centre of the small city, with historic Viking exhibitions & streetscapes. The rooms are spacious, modern & comfortable, with tea/coffee-making etc. Breakfast & dinner were freshly cooked, service was friendly & efficient.
The staff were very helpful and professional and the hotel was very well organized for the covid.
The staff were all lovely at hotel, food OK also. But the hotel is very much in need of a complete makeover. The decor, paintwork, carpets etc needs to be replaced. Location great, but I would not stay again, because of hotel decor-- appears very old, dated and ran down
The hotel was lovely the food was beautiful and tasty ....but our room was a bit small 2 beds would have been sufficient the disable the bathroom was ok there was mould in the corner of the shower sorry I have to write this as I've been ther many times before and was very pleased with my stay was very Pleasant
Hotel was OK. Was very busy and due to covid the bar was booked out when we arrived 2 to spaces left in restaurant. I thought we should have been advised to pre-book for even snacks. Corridors to rooms very narrow and shabby. With covid upon us the staying in the small bedroom was not to enjoyable as tv had only poor quality digital stations. Surely needs an update. Staff and food were excellent. Beware of early morning ???? fire call.
Great hotel , friendly staff , great atmosphere and food
Great hotel , friendly staff , great atmosphere and food
Had to send back food on two occassions as the food was cold inside. The staff were very nice, but there were mix ups over a booked meal, having to go to reception to pay for said meal and then being told on departure still owed money on the bill when didn't. Paid for a 4 course meal but was told when there that it's a 3 course meal.
Very dated rooms no wow factor needs a little tlc... Food was on the other hand fantastic really enjoyed it and parking at lydl 5 mins away in a disgusting car park thank god I wasn't alone very scary although it was a nice break in Waterford I would not be booking traceys again
The interval clean of our room was poor. The coffee and milk was not replenished, the the cups were not replaced and beds were not made. PS I think my bed may have been broken Overall we had a pleasant stay and would come again.
Very enjoyable couple of day at Treacys in Waterford. Staff welcoming and helpful. Compliment with Covid restrictions but still comfortable.
Would highly recommend this hotel it is at a great location for bus and train. Easy to get to and staff are super friendly. Kids club is super and a god save for parents looking to have a few hours to themselves. The rooms are lovely and clean bunk beds for the kids proved great entertainment. The breakfast is good but dinner not very memorable but not a problem as plenty of great restaurants around. All in all a great holiday we will definitly be back.
Marion in the dinner room is amazing works morning and night and still with a smile on her face.. We stayed 3 night staff were so helpful and friendly and room was so cleaning and food was so nice.. Gonna be back soon
Lovely staff very friendly and accommodating especially with the COVID restrictions.
We had room 210 which was wheelchair accessible for me. The catering staff were amazing. Beautiful food. The waitresses and waiters were lovely. We we for my mothers 70th and with Covid 19 and some of us having underlying issues. We felt safe at all times. One family per lift rule. The receptionist was out sanitising all the time. It was extremely warm. Obviously no air conditioning could be used. We had 7 rooms altogether with family. Thank you all x
All went well during my two nights stay with exception of fire alarm going off in the early hours of the morning of 14th. August which I presume was not the fault of the hotel..
Room very small and stuffy, the toilet didn't flush properly, shower very small water stayed in the bath. Sheets were creased on the bed. Food OK,plates were cold when serving dinner.
Great HOTEL have been there many times Staff fantastic. Rooms spotless and brrakfast great highly recommend. Helen Kavanagh
The room's are advertised as having air conditioning however this is not the case for all rooms. First night very uncomfortable due to heat with just a fan , following day asked to move to a room with air conditioning which was they kindly obliged. Unfortunately the air conditioning did not work properly, which was the case last time we stayed also. The food was excellent both breakfast and dinner. All covid 19 recommendation in place and staff were friendly and helpful. I would stay again but not during summer months as heat was unbearable in small rooms. Lastly the rooms need blinds or nets curtains, as private apartments opposite some rooms so no privacy for guests.
Lovely friendly staff, very clean hotel but decor is a little bit tired. The outside smoking area could do with a good clean.
Great customer service, Showed they had the Safety Charter in operation , grreat food and reasonably priced. Great atmosphere and great entertainment.
We stayed in a twin room. Family of 2a+1c. Rooms in need of a upgrade. Not spacious enough couldnt wait to leave. Staff where friendly, food average. Definitely some dishes where pre cooked and microwaved. Spa was a lovely experience. Well worth a visit.
Food was fab music in restaurant was a nice bonus, very young girl waiting tables for breakfast was lovely and so efficient she could teach some of the bar staff a thing or two especially molly I think her name was very rude, refused us cocktails while she continued to serve them to everyone else.
Very poor
The phone didn't work, I informed reception straight away and 3 days later it wasn't looked at. TV kept freezing and Internet wasn't great. The dinner was lovely. The hotel carpets need to be changed.
Very good location is good near all amenities and breakfast service is very fast nice place to have a trip.
Staff great. Very helpful and obliging. If anything needed it was sorted. Pool and gym very well organised in keeping with the corona virus regulations. Food both breakfast and dinner excellent. Parking free which is very good. We had a very enjoyable stay. However the place needs painting badly. The reception area, bar, stairs up to rooms, doors and frames. Ideally painted a bright colour to brighten the place up but even to blind in the varnish to all the one colour would help. New carpet and take the curtains off the two windows in far end of bar they look bad from inside but worse from outside looking in.
We were guests in this hotel for one night. We booked in for B.and B. only but we decided to dine there as well. The dining room was perfect, adhering to the distancing guidelines, and the meal delicious. After a great nights sleep we partook of a grand breakfast which set us up for the rest of the day sight seeing. Located on the waterfront the hotel is situated very near the sity centre and all the shops. a great experience, we will repeat in the near future.
Changed room was very pleased, food and service were very good. No complaints
Had a lovely stay the staff were very efficient and followed all covid advice. The food was lovely and a special thanks to Marion for chocs and card. We would highly recommend to all, will be back soon.
Our stay was just a week after the COVID phase 3 hotel restrictions lifted. I found the staff were coping well under the circumstances and were very professional. The hotel itself was very clean and comfortable. We had a 2 night stay with breakfast which was very enjoyable.
Great service and food and ideal location
Had a great time staff lovely and very welcoming love to go back soon
The hotel itself is dated .the staff are so polite and helpful excellent service. Food in the main restaurant was very good .
Family getaway hotel was lovely and child friendly!!
Stayed here for 1 night. Hotel is clean but rooms could do with some updating. Tiles in bathroom were very slippy even when not wet and wearing shoes. Staff were friendly and helpful, a bit slow at bar sometimes even when not busy. Breakfast was disappointing. Great location.
great location, we have stayed here several times with both friends and our children, staff are so helpful and friendly, rooms are slighly dated but spotless clean 100% will return once again
5 stars for this hotel, the staff could not do enough to accommodate any requests. The food was lovely and there was entertainment on in the bar all weekend, this hotel is in a great location and within walking distance to everything. The hotel itself is quite old and the heat in the rooms was very hot. other than that we had a wonderful stay and would definitely stay there again.
Great hotel for a family break - the children were treated very kindly by all of the staff. Room was comfortable and breakfast buffet had a great variety of choices. Would return.
Excellent value for money at this hotel. We could not fault the room or service. Good breakfast and great bar food. We arrived soon after 3pm and we did have to wait a few minutes for the room to be ready. Kids play area is a bit rundown, but overall we really enjoyed our stay here.
Excellent value for money, hotel location is fantastic walking distance to town centre, staff were so nice, rooms maybe described as dated but for price and location I would absolutely recommend this hotel
We had a lovely time Bar Food menu was lovely and childrens menu was excellent value children had a great time Staff are very friendly and helpful I would stay there again.
My husband and I came to stay at Treacey's hotel on Wednesday 20th Sept to cycle the Greenway. We were greeted with such politeness at the reception while checking in. When we asked about a safe place for our bicycles they went out of their way to put them in a safe place for us. Our room was clean just perfect. Would recommend Treacey's of Waterford to stay. So convenient for Greenway enthusiasts. Also so close to shopping and of course the beautiful Waterford Crystal.
Excellent location in centre of Waterford city. Staff were very friendly and food was good. Great value for money.
very friendly staff. excellent breakfast, more than enough to eat. Room ok, but over looked the main road and was quite noisy. The meal in the restaurant was lovely. Would recommend it to others.
Fantastic location. Ideal for exploring. What can i say about this hotel. Really excellent staff. So friendly and helpful. I cannot commend them enough. On the tuesday of my stay, i was completely bed bound with sciatica and the staff helped my mum make up a tray of breakfast for me. The leisure centre was amazing. Jacuzzi, steam room, sauna, swimming pool. It was a level dept swimming pool so perfect for anyone who hates getting out of their depth. My only complaint. Was the bed. Twice i fell out of bed because when i got within 6 inches of the edge, the mattress seemed to give in. Hopefully it was just an issue with the double mattress in my room 110. Other than that, i absolutely could not fault it.
the hotel like a jigsaw going to leisure center.Staff lovely could nt do enough especially when we went for dinner lovely Staff very nice price for our stay was worth it . Yvonne
Good value.
five stars .. had a fab time in hotel food was good and the pub was also very good by nite. would stay there again.
Had an absolutely wonderful time at this hotel! The staff were really lovely and efficient. There was a problem with our room and they changed us without fuss. The pool was spotlessly clean (don't forget your hat!) and particularly loved the ice bucket after the jacuzzi. Breakfast was extensive, something for everyone. The worst part was leaving! Can't recommend this place enough!
Stayed Friday 28th July. We really enjoyed our stay, staff were great, very friendly and helpful. We had a family Room in Block B ( Double Bed, Single Bed and Bunk beds in the form of a bus which our daughter absolutely loved). We had bar food and also ate in the restaurant both delicious. We used the pool twice (changing rooms very small, pool was clean and busy). Hotel Reception, Breakfast room and Bar are a bit dated and could do with a re-vamp. Great location, would definitely stay again.
I really enjoyed my stay here, I stayed on Friday 21st with my Partner and Daughter and we had a blast. We had dinner in the restaurant which was ok, we got steak and paid the extra supplement as the menu wasn't great and the deal we had didn't give many options. Restaurant staff were great and food was ok too. Our room was fabulous we had a king size bed and a carrycot for my daughter which was all very clean and the room was so spacious. I would definitely stay there again. We enjoyed ourselves a lot and will be booking again soon.
Hotel is lovely, staff very friendly and efficient pool is very small and quite cold but everything else is great great children entertainment for kids
I stayed here this past Monday with my 2 children and my mother-in-law. I had booked a family room and was expecting your run of the mill double bed with accompanying twin singles. When we arrived the staff were very busy, helpful and pleasant. We stayed in room 140 and let me tell you it was way beyond our expectations. This room has 1 double and 3 single beds, spotless clean and very spacious. From the moment we arrived the kids had a blast, soft play area to back of the bar with few arcade games, plus 3.5hrs of kids club from 6-9.30pm and again in the morn from 9-12. Wendy was on kids club Mon night and she was marvelous. We passed the room on a couple of occasions and heard the kids playing and having fun and Wendy's interaction with them was patient and kind whilst being attentive to their needs. Food was lovely, service equally lovely. Although there was a pool etc the kids were not interested as they were having such fun in kids club. We did find the room was incredibly hot and so I phoned reception for a fan which was sent to the room immediately and we were most grateful. Overall I would gladly recommend this hotel to any family looking to have a short happy and entertained getaway.....this room suits 5 people perfectly with ease and not to mention 6.5hrs of kids club per day to give parents a much needed relaxing period. All hotel staff were lovely I have nothing negative to say about any area to be honest. All we wanted was somewhere adequate, clean and suiting our needs and in fairness they exceeded all this effortlessly. So thank you to all the staff for what was a very enjoyable stay. If you want simplicity, value and kids entertainment then stay here. If you want expense, costly kids entertainment for much less time and super luxuries of other kinds stay elsewhere. Regards from Catriona in Carlow.
booked with lidl and got a very good rate. We book triple room with 3 single beds and I had requested room in new block so when we arrived triple room was in old block so we were upgraded to family room in new block b. Room was very big with air conditioning which was great during summer time. Hotel food was excellent and staff were excellent couldn't fault this hotel and would definately stay here again and would highly recommend it. They even had porridge for breakfast in the hot buffet section which my mum was happy with. Overall excellent hotel with very helpful staff and really enjoyed our stay here.
HOTEL WAS CLEAN & COMFORTABLE - A LITTLE BIT NOISY DURING THE NIGHT & THE CLEANERS STARTED AFTER 8.30. MY MAIN COMPLAINT WOULD BE THAT I RANG THE HOTEL BEFOREHAND TO ENQUIRE ABOUT PARKING & WAS TOLD THAT NONE OF THE HOTELS ON THE QUAY HAD PARKING & WE HAD TO USE PUBLIC PARKING. THIS WE DID BEFORE CHECKING IN & PAID E4.40 FOR 24 HRS PARKING. HOWEVER, ON CHECKING IN, THE RECEPTIONIST ADVISED THAT THERE WAS CUSTOMER PARKING AT REAR OF BUILDING WHICH WE COULD HAVE USED. AS A RESULT, I WAS OUT OF POCKET BY E4.40 BECAUSE ONE OF THE STAFF GAVE ME WRONG INFORMATION !!!!!
Worse hotel I have ever stayed in. We stayed for two night on the 20/04/2017 and the 21/04/2017. Room 312. Tiny room for two adults and our teenage son. Black mould on bedroom window inside and out. Fire/smoke alarm just put into ceiling never replastered. Broken lock to bathroom and mould patches around shower. We also booked B&B and an evening meal. Dinner was dreadful so much so we had to eat out at a nearby hotel. Breakfast we were told was served to 10:00am on the Friday morning it was served until the food ran out. I am vegetarian and do not eat sausages rashers etc when I asked a rather unpleasant chef for some hash browns and mushrooms I was told do not do them. I asked for croissants no sorry ran out of them when there gone they do not do any more. Just empty baskets. Eventually after complaining to a waitress I got two hash browns and a tomato. This was 9:30am on a Friday morning. Didn't bother going to get breakfast there on Saturday morning we all went out and had to buy it. Room with paper thin walls, woken up early on Saturday morning by bottles been moved and beer barrels been collected. We went for a drink in the bar on the Friday, staff extremely rude we asked one waitress if she had a cloth to clean the table she just turned and said she had only just moved the plates but she more intent on removing the menus and condiments as it was coming up to 9:00pm and did not want us to order food. Other bar staff were just as bad very slow with no floor service or interaction with any of the customers, the drink was just placed on the bar, if you wanted a straw or a bar mat we were just pointed at where they were get it yourself. It cost us €4:40 per night parking and we had to ask about the free car park which was some walk away up a hill. There also was a very unpleasant smell in the hall of the hotel. This two night stay cost us nearly €300.00 and we are very annoyed as we were looking forward to a few days away from a very busy work life. The hotel itself is in need of a total makeover, everything is shabby and worn out. My daughter and her partner also stayed in the hotel on the Friday and the Saturday night they were also disgusted with the room, late cancellation of their pre-booked spa treatment, food and on Saturday night spent 3 hours outside after the fire alarms went off. Never again such a waste of time and money thought we would never get home.
Treacy's Waterford is a lovely hotel and the staff are second to none. There was an incident whereby the Fire alarm was set off at 5am but that wasn't the hotels fault and I know protocol has to be adhered to so I had no issues with this. The food in the Restaurant was lovely and Miriam is just a lady and the next day we had lunch in the bar and whilst I don't know the name of the waiting staff that served us both of them were just so nice and pleasant The rooms do need to be updated but I've been told that this is ongoing at the moment but definitely the public areas as in The Bar, The restaurant and the lobby area are lovely and the food is second to none.
My husband and I had a lovely two day stay at Teacys Hotel. I requested a room with a walk in shower which I received. Our room was at the back of the Hotel in the newer area. I find when I make a request for a walk in shower this request always end up in us being given a room miles away from Reception. I have some walking difficulties this was a bit too much of a walk for me. I was a little disappointed that there was no music on as it said in the information about the hotel that there was entertainment nightly.
enjoyed our stay, great entertainment for the whole weekend ,staff very helpful and friendly..
Four of us stayed in this hotel recently for 2 nights bed and breakfast and one evening meal. Two of us got a room in the old part of the hotel which was at the front and quite noisy and the shower was useless. The other two got a room in the newer part of the hotel and the shower here was super. We ate in the bar the first night and to be honest it wasn't great but we were looking forward to the dinner in the restaurant on the following night and that turned out to be very disappointing, much the same as the bar food!!! The breakfast was okay but my daughter who is vegetarian asked for mushrooms and they said there was none so she was quite limited to what she could eat. There was a very strange taste off the fruit salad at breakfast time which we all noticed this and we ended up leaving it. It would not be my choice to stay here again even though the staff were friendly and helpful. Housekeeping needs to be improved greatly.
Hotel and rooms nice, good entertainment in the bar. Staff polite and helpful. Good food, Would recommend Lidl break and Treacy's Hotel to anybody.
We did like some aspects of this hotel but not others. We were given a room in the old part of the hotel and it was very very noisy and even had a wheelchair/trolley lift outside too. We did complain and got moved to a better room the second night. The place is a bit of a maze really and can be very confusing finding your way around. On the bright side every single member of staff was really friendly and helpful. We ate all out meals there and the food was great and very good value.
Our Room was impossible to find it was on the second floor even tho it was a third floor number it literally took us twenty minutes to find it (Very confusing) !!We had the room booked for two adults and two kids. When we got to the room one single bed was not made up.The lock on our door was not locking the door behind us ,the light over the bathroom mirror was not working, making it impossible to do make up,the light in general was very weak in the bedroom, We had no view only a roof ,the chair leg was faulty so we could not use the chair.Even though we got a lovely greeting from the receptionist on arrival she organised for maintenance guy and housekeeping to solve the lock and bed issue. We were very disappointed with the general standard of the hotel room, it seems because we booked through lidl breaks the just put us in a low standard room, as i have stayed there before on a few occasion's and did'nt encounter any of these problems.Breakfast was only average.
Great hotel, great offer. Both my wife and kids were very happy!
We stayed two nights in a family room full board with two young boys. The hotel is very family oriented and the staff are a delight. The hotel offers something for everyone and the kiddies had a ball. The grown ups did two. The food was amazing on both evenings and the staff catered to the needs of a fussy 5 year old as if it was nothing. The pool was perfect temperature well kept and again staff were very friendly and not to phased by the boys doing Canon balls into the pool. They had a lovely relaxation area with Jacuzzi sauna and steam room kids free zone which was also lovely. The rooms and corridors were newly refurbished and while we had a trek to our room as previous comments suggested we did not mind and it didn't hinder our reflection of the hotel. Customer service was on hand at all times and checked in with guests often to ensure their stay was comfortable I thought this was a nice touch. They played live entertainment in the bar which had a kids area, the bar was spacious and comfortable and attracted a great crowd. This gave parents the option wo unwind a little while the kids played. Would defo visit again. Thumbs up from us!
Stayed here as a family group to celebrate a 70th Birthday. The hotel staff couldn't do enough to accommodate us, from a fast and efficient check in to good quality service in the restaurant, Breakfast room and Bar. All areas of the hotel where clean and the management are clearly going to great lengths to upgrade areas of the hotel that require it. I wouldn't hesitate to recommend this hotel
Fantastic I cannot say enough other than I cant wait to return we stayed midweek two rooms one twin and one family the rooms were top notch comfie spacious and nicely decorated. The staff are 5star they are super the hotel should be very proud the pool tiny bit of work needed but still fine. Food again five star bar food was devine as was the restaurant we never left the hotel for food as it was too good. Value fantastic with a kids club allowing us to have a wonderful breakfast in peace and dinner later what at rare treat for parents of young kids I was unsure if they would go again that evening but they loved the club and staff were wonderful there also with a playzone in the bar area for kids you might even manage a drink before putting kids to bed thanks so much to lidl breaks and Treacys reception staff restaurant kids club bar staff pool staff faultless
we went to waterford for winterval festival. hotel good location. good food and staff very friendly and helpfull.
I stayed here last with a few friends and it was a great place to stay staff were very friendly and of great help. we had bed breafast and evening meal for two nights and the food was excellent.hotel rooms were very clean and beds were so comfortable would highly recommend this hotel.
Stay here every year and never had a problem, great hotel.
Spent 2 nights here, general areas were nice and clean. Staff friendly. Room was disappointing, small and cluttered with furniture, had to climb over drawer unit to access dresser so I could use hair dryer. The housekeeping made the beds but left dirty glasses in the room. There was loads of rubbish, wrappers, paper and dust behind the drawer unit. The carpets in the hallway were old and dusty. Hotel is a bit out of the way so would need taxi at night time to go out. There was religious pictures in the reception which I personally taught was a bit out of place in 2016, Personally would not return to this hotel
Great Family friendly hotel. Lovely food & very helpful staff
Myself and my wife booked into the hotel for 3 nights B&B & 3 Dinners, while the price was reasonable, the hotel needs a very deep clean, fans in the bathrooms, toilets, pool are full of dust, the rooms are small, but we got one with a balcony but you could not sit out on it as it is standing room only, the breakfast was self service and was not hot on any of the mornings (but not cold). the evening meal is a set menu and could do with a bit of variety same food every day. the staff and management are very friendly. I think a lick of paint and and cleaning of the carpets in the rooms would not go astray, for the price I paid I would stay again but I would like to see a bit of an upgrade in the whole place, my wife had the special in the treatment shop and she was very happy with what she got.
Room and en-suite small. Hotel would need a total revamp as carpets - décor out of date. Everything was clean. Staff very friendly and made us very welcome. Food was good in bar and restaurant. Breakfast hot food was not very hot and eggs were like rubber. Good entertainment in the bar and service was good.
Booking Reference #168814624 I was extremely disappointed with out most recent stay in Treacys Hotel Waterford. This stay was booked for my partners birthday and to say we were shocked when we saw our room it was tiny. I went back down to reception and they placed us in a new room which was better than the first room. My partner was excited to try out the Relax and journey through the Thermal Suite experience at Spirit Spa. "The Thermal Suite features a herbal sauna, aromatherapy steam room, expereince drench shower, tropical expereince shower and jacuzzi footspas" When he called to book he was told that this option was not available as some of the stuff was broke or not yet fitted. Even though it was advertised as available. The food was not up to standard when ordering our food the steak came with potatoes but my partner asked if he could change to chips and the guy wanted an extra 3 euro? We refused and he had no choice to take the potatoes. I was extremely disappointment with our stay and would not be returning to this hotel. Regards Emma
First hotel I can say I wouldn't return too. Small rooms for familys no shampoo paper thin walls you can hear everything, talking, TV and toilet flushing of other guests. Smoke alarm went off three times once at 1am and another at 6:30 am. Crap crap crap Wi Fi. Pool changing rooms ware small shower areas were dark and grotty no complimentary shower gels. Pool was nice. Breakfast was good dreadful orange juice, bar food wasn't great tables and chairs were sticky. Multi story car park for hotel was two blocks away approx 150 meter walk thankfully we travel light and it was dry.
Fantastic 3 night stay. Great food. Great location. Great atmosphere.
Have stayed here a few times staff friendly. Food very good. Hotel itself really needs a facelift. Especially toilets bar
Very family-friendly hotel at a very convenient location in the middle of town. Kids loved the bunk bed in the room, the pool and the playroom.
LOVE TREACYS HOTEL. FOOD GREAT FROM BAR FOOD TO BREAKFAST AND PLENTIFUL. LOVE THE ENTERTAINMENT AS GREAT ATMOSPHERE IN BAR. ALL THE STAFF VERY EFFICIENT, PLEASANT AND HELPFUL.
HOTEL STAFF WERE VERY FRIENDLY, ITS GOOD VALUE FOR MONEY NOTHING FANCY FOOD OK. THE ROOM WAS VERY SMALL BUT IT WAS FINE FOR THE ONE NIGHT. I WOULD STAY THERE AGAIN AS ITS CLOSE TO TRAIN AND NEAR SHOPS.
Got a great deal through bargain breaks for Treacys hotel ,Our room was in " Block B " so we had to get lift up to first floor then walk down corridor up stairs and another lift to level 3 ,Room was spacious with a double bed and two single beds with air conditioning .Breakfast was self -serve and we had a lovely 3 course dinner one evening ,,
very good,staff very helpfull
hotel was convient to all amenities, it was very clean and staff were very friendly. food was really nice as we had evening meal on first night would recommend to anyone to try this hotel
great hotel kids loved the activities and were very welcome, hotel staff were very accommodating especially house keeping staff. will be back again.
Stayed for one night in March from the outside the hotel lets itself down needs a facelift badly the car park situation is not good especially if it's raining once inside the door the hotel is great staff very friendly the food was some of the best food we have tasted anywhere bar very homely and friendly another area that needs attention is the lobby it is dated and needs updateing would stay again just because of food and staff could be a fab hotel if updated a bit
Nice hotel on the edge of the water. Staff friendly. Food was good. Old style hotel. Our rooms were in the new block, so nice quite area and rooms were nice and big and clean. Music in the hotel each night. Bar food during the day was tasty and good choices. Lovely spa area also pool and fitness available. Waling distance to everything in Waterford. Would stay here again.
great weekend Dinner in Restaurant not very good. dinner in the Bar great
stayed at Treacys Hotel on sat night Valentines weekend. very enjoyable. lovely staff very comfy and very enjoyable music in the bar . food lovelly, evening meal and breakfast very tasty def recommend would not be disappointed.
Great value great food, staff very friendly and helpfull I have no problem recommending this hotel.
We had an excellent stay at the hotel. The staff were really friendly. The food was outstanding. Thank you Treacys for a lovely weekend.
As always, my stay was great. Stayed in the hotel at least five times and it never disappoints. Staff and facilities are fantastic
Had great time at Treacys the room were clean and the food at the Bar was lovely ate there twice would Deffo uses Treacys Hotel again
Great hotel for families we stayed over christmas and had a ball will be back.
Nice hotel, rooms are basic, we had a meal in the restaurant, not great, Yorkshire pudding was like a brick, waiter brought us more, they were softer but still bad quality, food in bar wasn't much better, I ordered a steak roll for15 euro, it was the smallest roll I have seen for that price, staff are friendly and hotel is clean.
The Hotel is located in perfect location well served by excellent staff. If you are Vegetarian or Vegan Pl opt for Bed and breakfast only. As Vegs have very little dinner options and Chef stick to that days menu only. A Thai menu does exits except for Tuesday. Pl request family room with out bunk beds for big kids. Your kids won't be disappointed as there is a kids club. I am impressed with hard working staff. The parking is a bit tricky. Need to park in multi storage park besides Aldi. Would definitely recommend the place. :-)
Great staff and hospitality. Lovely for a family break. Food was great and outstanding value. We had a lovely time.
my stay in treacys was incredible . i was in waterford on a very stress full mission. my saving grace was when i walked in the doors of the hotel the reception was so welcoming and warm i left my worries outside. there was music in the bar at night and the crack was mighty. would go back again. caters for all ages.
Great weekend. Stayed here friday to sunday . Hotel was beautiful . We stayed in the new part of the hotel rooms were perfect . Location was brilliant couldnt have asked for a better hotel . Food in resturant was lovely and entertainment and staff were great . Would definetly reccomend it for families and couples or large groups .
Booked last minute very good value kids enjoyed pool.food nice staff very nice
Overall, we had a pleasant stay in Treacys Hotel Spa & Leisure Centre. Staff were friendly, bedrooms were clean and presentable. Breakfast on Sunday morning was poor. Food from the buffet was cold and there was a shortage of clean plates and teacups.
The staff were so accommodating (Eileen i think the ladies name was) i booked Treacys in Enniscorthy for 2 adults and 2 children but when we got there it was actually the Waterford Hotel we were supposed to be staying in, i got such a fright but the Receptionist was lovely, even though the hotel was booked out they organised a room for us in the Slainey Suites which was perfect for children, the pool staff was excellent and very vigilant, breakfast staff again excellent and very attentive, i would definitely book another breakaway with Treacys Hotel.
Hi There, Stayed in Tracey's hotel on the 20th, and 21st of November. Loved it!! Staff were amazing, friendly, helpful, just what was needed for a nice break. Music in the bar was great fun. We had a leak in the bathroom, which we reported. Issue was addressed straight away and we were moved to another room, while we were out, which was great. Only observation i would make, some areas could do with a refresh, paint, carpets but.... don't lose the look, really suits. Will be back!!
Everything went great with our stay here, top hotel.
We enjoyed our stay. The staff were welcoming and efficient and all food served was high quality and well presented. The breakfasts were varied as was the evening menu. The bedrooms are on the smallish side but perfectly adequate for our needs. Comfy bed, tea /coffee facilities, complimentary toiliteries, hair dryer etc. There was music in the bar both nights and this was well attended and very enjoyable. The leisure centre is very good and well maintained . The location is perfect for exploring Waterford city and all it has to offer. Although the hotel is old and dated in certain areas there is no reason why anybody wouldn't enjoy a visit to this welcoming establishment.
A wonderful and very welcoming hotel . The staff were very friendly particularly Marion who was very helpful and Moreen who great with the kids. This is a great hotel for the whole family
Beautiful hotel, great location, food to good a standard, great atmosphere in the hotel. When we arrived the the lady ( gemma) at the front desk was excellent had our room cards ready and as we were a group this save us time she also pushed back our dinner half an hour to give us more time as the weather on the way down delayed us. We had a great time in Waterford and definitely will return
we had a fantastic weekend with Traceys hotel the staff were all so nice and helpful the food was excellent and the rooms were to a high standard we will so be going back here
excellent accommodation and reasonable cost ,use here mostly for working trips so well worth it.Bar staff to be honest very rude and especially the younger ones who were serving on the 6th Nov not very customer orientated.
stayed for 3 nights recently most enjoyable
This hotel was centrally located, warm and friendly welcome, nice comfy rooms, good food and great entertainment at night, would stay again.
we stayed for three nights most enjoyable
Once again we've just returned from a very enjoyable few days from treacys hotel - everyone had a great time , 12 adults & 7 kids and all happy . Marion & her staff did all in their power to ensure there was no stone unturned for our stay to be a very enjoyable one . Can't wait to return again soon !
Very basic hotel but, on balance, probably worth the money paid. Rooms basic and quite small. Food OK, not great. Staff very friendly and helpful. The leisure centre is good. Noise levels quite high at night with creaky floorboards (it's quite an old building). On the plus side, it's very centrally located and walking distance from good restaurants and shopping areas.
Overall a great hotel for the price we paid, we really enjoyed our stay. The staff were very polite and helpful. Live music on both nights we stayed. Bar food and carvery lunch on Sunday was fab but our only issue was breakfast on Monday morning. Although we were in time for breakfast, there was not much hot food left and staff were clearing up. Staff did turn back on the coffee machine when asked.
Lovely hotle clean rooms friendly helpful staff in nice location food is very nice to Il be staying there again.
myself and my husband and two other couples recently had the pleasure of staying in Tracy's Hot el and it certainly was a pleasure to stay there. It is a very comfortable, friendly clean hotel, it is a 3 star hotel but is better in many ways than some of the 4 star hotels I have stayed in. The guests needs and comfort are paramount to the hotel staff. Marian the customer service manager is a treasure and did everything to ensure we had a good time, the hotel bar is warm and friendly with a really good atmosphere and good entertainment. We had our 2 course meal which was included in our €49 deal and the food was fab and it was only a very small supplement €8, if you wanted steak, the staff even found out that one of our party was celebrating a birthday and she received a card and small gift from the along with a birthday cake with candle and a rendition of Happy birthday from the restaurant staff although this was not our reason for our break. I would return to this hotel in a heartbeat. Modern décor and large rooms do not always determine the standard of a hotel, service to the guests is what is the utmost importance and Treacy's Hotel certainly stand out in this area. thank you for a wonderful stay it made our reunion all the more special.
Hotel staff were very friendly and helpful. Hotel was clean and tidy. The only thing I didn't like was you could hear everything from other guests bedrooms for example we could hear somebody snoring.
Great hotel....food was lovely and so were the staff ..
Group of 10 stayed one night only..for the all in price of €49 pp. What value for money great hotel with fantastic food..well done Lidil and tracys. Certain to book again... Thank you..
Hotel in a great location and staff v friendly - Unfortunatly thats about it - Room was dark with a tiny window - some of the tiles in the batroom were not secured. Food was terrible - Caesar salad was a lettuce with some cheese thrown on it. Mains cam out in 10 mins which should have been a hint - it was cold and my wifes Lamb was nothing more than a lump of fat. Breakfast was v limited and cooked in advance - Fry was cold - One bottle of sauce to share between all - which was robbed by a couple. Some of the bread had m old in the corner. Didnt go back for second dinner even though we had paid for it - Got a takeaway instead which was lovely
We had a fantastic weekend family break at Treacys. The staff are brilliant and couldn't do enough to help with our 3 small children. The play area was ideal for our toddler while we relaxed in the lounge. Will definately be back!
Was looking forward to a well deserved rest with my mam but instead we didn't get a wink of sleep with the noise and constant enteruption of a drunkin guy knocking on our door and when rang to reception which they dealt with straight away but kept happening, and when the knocking stopped the phone started ringing..not impressed. Food was nice in restaurant but room was very small very cramped with not much privacy to chat. Will not be staying here again, it probably be fine for stags/hen parties bit not a relaxing break. :(
very good location but unfortunately very tired hotel, the rooms very spread out and it took us 2 lifts and ten minutes to find our room. We upgraded room but this too was a soulless room lacking any personality, it was room 443 and was large but with a mismatch of furnishings, the tea and coffee making facilities were on a shelf in the wardrobe causing the whole wardrobe to fill with steam.. the staff were pleasant but service not great and food just ok, we had a bad experience in the restaurant. we were subject to extreme rudeness from a female member of staff there.the hospitality lady was excellent and deserves a mention ...however overall it was not a great stay even though it had massive potential...a disapointment.
Staff on reception were nice, staff in bar were terrible, one barman seemed drunk when we arrived first, tables all full of dirty glasses and very bad service, food was fine but changing facilities at pool were v bad also, we won't be back
Very happy with hotel. staff were friendly and helpful.
Friendly budget hotel, clean with a decent breakfast. Parking is about 3/4 mins walk from the hotel a bit of a walk if wet.
Arrived Friday 11th September, check in very smooth, was put in the far section of the hotel as told it would be quieter, no complaints regarding this, however to get to our room we had to take 2 lifts and a good walk, i would consider myself a fit person but after walking the legs off myself around Waterford it was an ordeal. Dinner was part of the package we selected. We were told only selected items ticked in green we could order, no problem with that however we had only ordered when the starter arrived and again once starter taken the dinner arrived, the food was precooked and the vegetables very limp. i would not order food again as part of a package felt it was thrown at us. Ordered a bottle of house rose, i had'nt even finished the first glass and the meal was over. Cost us €27.00 for the wine which we ended up bringing up to the room with us as we felt we were been kicked out of the restaurant. On a good note, the bar was great fun the barmen very jolly and believe it or not the food was very good there. I would not return
Hotel was nice just the family room was to small could bearly get true the door
Had such a lovely stay at this hotel, the staff were so friendly and helpful. The rooms were very modern and spacious. The lidl deal is of excellent value, the two course meal was very tasty although limited in choice. I had the leek and potato soup and roast beef for mains everything was very warm and tasty. My sister was celebrating her birthday and the staff came out with a cake and bday card and sang happy bday to our amazement! The breakfast buffet was fantastic you could have anything from cereal, fruit, yoghurt, cooked breakfast with a coffee machine you could have your latte etc. Location wise it was 5 mins from the train station and 10 mins in a taxi to the local bars/nightclubs. Overall was a lovely experience
Can onlly say great stay. hotel staff and food ,...and thats the same feeling from my group of 10... THANK YOU.
had a lovely time, staff were very nice, pool was great .Food was great The only down side was we would of liking to get into our room a bit earlier. We got the train down from Dublin. We were waiting a long time to get into our rooms
Stayed one night with my wife and enjoyed everything about the hotel. The staff were friendly, from reception to bar and catering. Great value for money and would return.
Another really enjoyable stay and we were accommodated in a lovely quiet area of the hotel as requested. Food lovely! Staff very friendly and helpful. We will definitely be returning. Catherine Conway Would rate the hotel 4 star.
Pat Carroll here I stayed in this hotel for one night and its like a maze to get to you room. Short of tea bags in d room. Don't let guests play musical instruments in the bar .have to say will not be staying there again .
VERY CHILD FRIENDLY,GREAT STAFF,GOOD AND REASONABLY PRICED FOOD ,ENJOYED IT EMENSLY
Nice hotel. Excellent food. Kids club was brilliant.myself my husband and our 8 year old daughter stayed 2 nights. We had dinner one one evening. Food was delicious
Very old hotel that is urgently in need of refurbishment. The multi story car park that is used by the hotel is very scary and on the walk from the car park to hotel seems very unsafe area. The room we were originally allocated was very small it was best suited to a single room. The room we were given was bigger but no hot water in the shower. I would not stay in this hotel again and staff were not very friendly or helpful.
This was a fantastic break loved it and the kids had a great time
Stayed at traceys hotel last week but wasnt happy due to roadworks outside the hotel woke us up early in the morning .we requested to be moved to another room but they couldnt accomadate us .i was happy with the food service
every thing was perfect back again shortly
Great stay, fab service, nice bar, great for kids had some play area. Used the gym and staff very accommodating to provide a quiet area to make some work calls. Overall, very pleasant experience, will try and get back there again. Ed.
Enjoyed our stay at Tracey's Hotel & Spa. Great location & nice clean rooms. Only poor side to it was the breakfast in the morning not a great variety & the hot food was very slow at coming out & when it did there was not enough to cope with the demand.
Myself and my husband stayed here for one night . The hotel was very well located but the carpark is 2 blocks away which wasn't handy ! The food was nothing special and the breakfast was very disappointing , very basic. Staff weren't overly friendly ! We had asked for a nice view but our view was overlooking a roof so that wasn't great ! Not sure we would stay here again as it was nothing special . Jennifer Ireland
It is an average hotel, staff are helpful, swimming pool not really suitable for toddlers, a bit run down
Brilliant city centre location but in need of updating! Food in the restaurant was lovely and a large amount of breakfast on offer. Brilliant idea of a kids playroom at the back of the bar. We were able to enjoy a drink while the kids played. The playroom does however need to be fixed up and made safer (sticking foam around a pole with tape is defiantly not safe and netting on the climbing frame ripped making it easy for kids to jump on top of the slide) However, we would return and recommend!
Very disappointed with this hotel room was very small and cleaning was poor receptionist did upgrade is to a nicer bigger room. In this room we discovered someone's used pjs in the set of drawers! Spa and pool very basic again poor changing facilities and cleanliness in swimming area also poor! Would not return or recommend
Good location, rooms a little small but spotless. Maybe some more fruit choice for breakfast.
Great value, lovely spacious room and beds, very good location and view of the river from our room. Food was nice but the selection was limited.
Having read previous poor reviews about this hotel I was pleasantly surprised. Our room while compact was bright, clean and comfortable with view over the river. I had no issue with the car parking being two blocks away as there is a loading bay to the front of the hotel where you can pull in to drop/collect luggage. The leisure centre is very good apart from the small basic changing rooms. I found the staff to be very pleasant and helpful and the location was very central.
Lovely comfortable hotel. Staff exceptional , food nice. Would recommend this hotel in a heartbeat
stayed here for 3 nights 24/7/15, hotel staff was lovely, room was not great it was not big enough for 2 adults and 2 kids, the bathroom was dirty toilet was not cleaned overall the hotel was not very clean dirty dishes at breakfast. The breakfast was cold one of the mornings. We had evening meals as part of our deal which was lovely food at night was very good in the croker rest...
Lovely hotel, perfect for a family. My children enjoyed the swimming pool. Breakfast was plentiful and there was a great choice. Our room was big plenty of room for my 2 children to run around. Staff were so nice and helpful. Location was perfect near enough to walk to city centre and the river Suir right across the road. We will definitely return!
Very poor food and sevice would not go back.
Would not recommend. Food and service awful.
Not a great hotel. Food tasteless slow and orders taken incorrect all over the hotel.. would not recommend. *
We stayed last weekend, hotel is very nice and all the staff very friendly and helpful. The bar had a good atmosphere and there was music every night. Very good value for the price, the car park is the only disadvantage so we parked in the car park in front of the hotel €4 euro a night so no problem. Would like to stay there again soon. signed Westmeath note no name to be printed on review please or just initials.
The hotel needs to be revamped, the room we got on the second floor was opposite the lift, which meant we got no sleep at all as there was constant noise all night long. The dinner was fine but the breakfast left a lot to be desired, hardly worth going down for. I would not stay there again and the car park was two streets away and it is not a pleasant walk to it.
I'm sorry to say this but we didn't have a great time here. The room was tiny, with a tiny window that didn't let much daylight in, had to have the lights on pretty much all the time. Also, the window was overlooking some 'engine room' with massive fans spinning around, sending up fume smelling hot air. We had to have the AC on all the time. The bathroom is so small that if you sit on the toilet the door cannot be opened. The soap in the family room is mounted into the wall at adult shoulder-height so you need to accompany the kids every time they need to wash hands. We asked for a bar of soap once on reception, they said check it with accommodation. We then checked with accommodation but they didn't speak English and the lady was keep repeating 'I don't know, I don't know'. The food was not nice either, tasteless chips that was more like crisps, over cooked - dry chicken breast and grey coloured batter on the chicken goujons, only to reveal dry chicken underneath. The lamb shank on the other hand was divine! At breakfast here were no pastries and the fried eggs' yolk was stone hard which was a bit of a disappointment. Staff were nice and friendly but at the end of the day it's a hotel that couldn't provide us with a good night sleep and a great grub, hence is the 2 stars.
Staff lovely Hotel spotless food gorgeous.our only gripe was maid knocking on room 6.40-6.50-9.20 on our last day to clean room even though check out time is 12.
This hotel was perfect for a 3 day break with children. While it is quite dated in areas it is very clean and great facilities for children. Although the car park is 2 blocks away and not too nice, the breakfast is not the best I've had but the staff were very friendly and the bar food lovely and nice section for kids in the bar so parents can relax too.
This is a good hotel right in the heart of the ciry, there's a very friendly atmosphere with excellent staff to look after you. The food was good for breakfast with plenty of choice and the bar and bar cuisine was very good. There was music on in the bar the night we were there and this livened up the place no end. There's also a full leisure centre that we never got ot view. Parking is free and is to be congratulated, however the car park is about 200 metres away and at night the area behind the hotel didn't look very inviting. The rooms were of a good quality the only slight let down was you had to close the window to shut out the traffic noise and the room got very warm, although in saying that, they did provide a fan. Overall our stay was very positive and I'd recommend the hotel to others and would definitely stay there again.
stayed 2 nights. Sun.& Mon. Rooms were a bit small but ok for 2 nights Dinner was a disaster and we ended up going out for something to eat on both nights. Breakfast was ok though, and the bar was friendly & lively
Myself and my two sisters stayed here overnight and we found the hotel very nice and the food very good but the water next morning was cold and this we were told was due to some gas leek or something but it was cold water for us ! Bernadette Clarke.
myself ,husband and our baby arrived to what we thought would be 2 days of a relaxing holiday. We had a family room that was an a joining room which meant we could hear every single word the family next door were saying. Their baby cryed for an hour solid from 230am till 330 am. which in turn woke our baby. None of us got much sleep. We told them about this the next morning and they were very sorry about it and offered to move us to an upgraded room. we thought this was great but in fact it was a disabled room. My husband had a shower the next morning and much to his horror the whole bath room actually flooded, he had to go and get some towels and mop it up as he did not want me slipping on the floor. The chambermaid came later and i told her about the situation but she did not speak english and did not understand what i was saying much to my disappointment. Overall we were very disappointed with our stay and would not feel the desire to stay again. This is a shame as the food and staff were nice.
Hotel was basic but very welcoming and great buzz in it ! Food was lovely and breakfast was fab ! Only complaint I have is the extra cost I had to pay for breakfast for my 9 year old daughter which was 10 euro ! I thought this was way too much to ask for ! I don't know any 9 year old that would eat enough breakfast to cover that cost and for that reason I will not be returning as I have looked up many hotels since where they only look for 5 euro which sounds a lot better ! Star rating I would give would be three as the leisure centre was very basic too and a bit run down !
Had a lovely family break in Treacys Hotel Waterford. Staff were really friendly and helpful . The food was fab and the entertainment in the bar was really good. The only fault i have is the distance from reception to the rooms we were staying in block b had to take 2 lifts and walk long corridors to get to room apart from that lovely place and very central.
The staff are very helpful and pleasant except for one very rude guy who was working in the bar on Saturday night. Dinner was excellent and great to have the choice from 'ordinary' menu and Thai menu. Breakfast was fine and totally self service, which was fine on Saturday morning when the hotel was quieter but absolutely nuts on Sunday morning when there were very long queues for everything except cereals from 9.30 til 10.30. The rooms were fine but hot, and rooms at the rear required air con on all the time (our room's view was of the huge air con units), but the front streetview rooms had no air con which meant open windows at night and therefore a bit noisy. Gym is good, lots of machines, pool is fine (no kids pool), but changing rooms very small (clean). Waterford has a lot to see in the area, lovely beaches and countryside.
Stayed for two night break, staff we excellent and very helpful. Hotel in need of total update, rooms adequate in need of modernisation, along with bathroom. Very noisy both in and out of the room. Restaurant not to my liking, pine furniture very out of date, food ok, steak overcooked and service not great. Bar and Staff very good
Very nice stay. Great location and friendly staff
I found the hotel staff very courteous, and we were allocated a good modern family room, cot already set up. Stayed for a couple of nights, with two very young children. The location is good, and the bar seems lively, room was quiet and spacious. However a big let down was the quality of food, and some of the decor is a bit tired. The sauna didnt work whilst we were there, and I thought the arrangements for breakfast where guests had to serve themselves the hot food could do with another look (the stainless steel containers are very hot, and its just not well set up). It seems a place that could be much better if there was a bit more attention from management and attention to detail
we really enjoyed our stay in Treacys hotel waterford last weekend, great facilities for adults and children alike, would highly recommend this place to all, staff nice food great and lovely leisure centre
Had a pleasant stay at this Hotel. Staff were competent and friendly. I would class the Hotel as between a 3 to 4 star. Pool facilities were good but route details and signage within the Hotel to pool area could be better. Hotel decor could do with an upgrade but facilites were adequate and clean. Breakfast was good but lacked some finer items like cheeses & pastries. Entertainment in the lounge on the night was a bit dated if trying to attract a wider age bracket. Overall the stay was good value.
Hotel Average decor a bit dated.Staff friendly, food was good. Room a bit stuffy and leisure centre need's a revamp .Jucussie was'nt working, steam room poor. Overall rating was 3.5. Would i return yes.
Breakfast was good but some female residents inappropiately dressed - pajamas and dressinggowns. This is most unsatisfactory and reflects badly on us in front of foreign visitors. No information pack in our room which was pretty poor. Staff effecient and friendly. Changing room at the pool need modernising.
Staff very friendly. Food very good. Unusual accommodation layout, possibly due to renovations at different times, hence the map. Décor slightly dated but facilities very good. Would recommend and stay again. It is a pity that all the old pubs of character have closed, and we get instead, a Kusadasi style Bar Street. Lizlar & Linger.
A nice hotel in a very central location. Basic no frills; it could do with a revamp but it is what it is. Rooms were clean and the staff very friendly. My other half is gluten and lactose intolerant, but the kitchen were able to accommodate her for lunch and dinner. She used the spa, they had a great deal of 3 treatments for €59 and she really enjoyed it. There's a decent gym on site and a pool with lane swimming available too. well worth the deal.
Great hotel & Great location - meal that was included was much better than I expected and breakfast was good too .. Only thing that made hotel awkward was different blocks to the hotel.. But I would defo stay here again :-)
Great city centre location. Staff very friendly. Hotel needs a bit of updating, would be no more than 3 star. Room was comfortable if average, a few different things peeling off. Breakfast was a bit basic, no pastries, individual yoghurts etc, and coffee was weak. Evening meal was comfort food, nice but also not exciting. The deal we got was a great price, but would not pay higher in future, if you're looking for a cheap no frills break away it is worth it, but if you want a fancy hotel with gourmet food this not for you. Would stay again but only at the right price.
We enjoyed are stay in treacys hotel, staff where very freindlly and very helpful and we will be stop n there the next time we go to waterford. 5 star rateing
great value. the staff at reception, in the restaurant and the bar were all really friendly and helpful. also just across the bridge from the train. couldn't ask for more!!
great location, fun and dancing in the bar at night. Lovely little kids zone area, pity pool table was out of order when we were there. Didn't drive and took the train, using their special offers. Lovely swimming and leisure centre. Has it all. Will do again.
Hotel staff were very friendly and helpful and room was clean. The leisure centre/pool is very modern and clean. However, the hotel is a bit dated and the decor could be updated. Not a great selection at breakfast.
We had a lovely over night stay here before Christmas, lovely hotel enjoyed our stay, staff very friendly will be returning soon.
We stayed here in September. Staff were very nice and accommodating. Our initial room was very small so we asked to be moved to a more spacious room which was no problem. We enjoyed the great central location of Traceys. Breakfast was good, a wide choice and loads of it. We had a meal as part of our package and we had a choice of three menus to our pleasant surprise so we all choose Thai which was gorgeous. It was lovely to have the thai food as i had been eying up there menu early in the day so we were all happy. We relaxed in the lobby area with a few glasses listening to the background music of the bar. Parking was included in price too so was great. Decor to the rooms was a bit drab but it wouldn't hinder us staying again. Thank you to all the staff
Friendly staff . Breakfast lovely . Clean and tidy . Would definitely stay again. The Walsh family.
I cannot recommend Tracey's Hotel enough. The staff are so friendly, efficient and helpful. All of our party who stayed with you enjoyed our mini break immensely. My 8 month grand daughter had so much fun in the pool and the attention she received from staff and other residents in the hotel, anyone would think she were a little celebrity. I would have no hesitation in recommending this hotel to other members and friends of ours. Thanking you Bernie Russell
We enjoyed our stay at Treacy's Hotel, room a little bit on the small side but had everything in it. Staff were very friendly and helpful. Would recommend it for a break in Waterford City. Price very reasonable. Many thanks. Ann and Erik Casey
stayed 2 nights in family room - very warm but thankfully a fan was provided. Long walk to car park and to room from reception (bit like a maze). Great kids club - staff were brilliant. Ate there just 1 night - dinner not good but breakfast was excellent. Lovely swimming pool and jacuzzi. Fire alarm went off a couple of times on the Saturday night due to guests smoking in no smoking areas - there should be an intercom announcement to guests that it was a false alarm - my children were very scared. Overall, hotel needs a bit of a refurbishment but facilities and staff were good.
I had the great pleasure of staying at Treacys Hotel Spa & Leisure on Fri 8th of Aug to Sat 9th Aug only regret was it was not a longer stay, couldn't fault it, Beautiful immaculate room plenty of towels ,tea & coffee making facilitys, Food was incredible & such fast service both breakfast & dinner, Will definately be returning & telling family & friends about it too , So well done Treacys, :-)
Hotel is very central. . Weather was very warm during our stay so was very glad of the air conditioning. Enjoyed our stay. BQ
we were on a family vacation ,stayed 3nights 4days ,the hotel was parked on arrival and the hotel staff went out of there way to help us .the swimming pool and the hotel was lovely and clean and staff were very helpful at the pool ,breakfast was amazing ,when we asked the reception for anything ,it was there in within five minutes ,the only down fall in the hotel was games room was closed every evening we will defo staying again and we will recommend it .
We stayed in Tracey's Hotel for one night. The multistorey car park was a long walk from the hotel, plus on returning to the car park, we had to use the stairs (many many steps) as there is no lift. The room we were allocated was a long, long walk from the lift. The corridors are dreary and the room was very basic amd dark. On entering the lounge/bar that evening there was no seating available. We subsequently went to another hotel for drinks. That night in the early hours we were woken by a group of lads who were very intoxicated and were shouting and roaring on the corridor and then they started banging on our door. We decided not to avail of the breakfast due to our experience the night before. Based on our overall experience we would not recommend this hotel and did not in any way enjoy our stay. Disappointed Guest.
Our room was clean but very warm / stuffy. A fan in the room might be an idea for the muggy days. The bathroom fan was extremely loud. Music in the bar on Saturday night (a couple with a keyboard & guitar) was not good. It was like a bad irish wedding. Bar staff did not observe which customers were waiting longest to be served; they served customers that shouted the loudest. Staff at reception were excellent. Breakfast was good; could do with some nice fresh danish though.
very happy with stay in Waterford. Great location and great breakfast
Lovely Hotel, staff very friendly and helpful..On arrival we received a warm welcome
The hotel itself could do with a bit of refurbishment, otherwise we had a great stay. The staff were friendly ,professional, and very helpful. The kids club was great also, our daughter had a great time. The service was great and the food was good too. I would recommend it
Stayed in the new part of the hotel, lovely rooms food was excellent and the staff couldn't have been more helpful and polite would definitely recommend it to anyone and will definitely stay again
i enjoyed my recent stay in treacys hotel, i found the staff very friendly and helpful, rooms were very nice and had air con , would definitely stay in treacys again ..
My wife and myself stayed over at Treacys Hotel in June 2014. Staff were friendly, food was very good plus we couldn't fault the room, everything was fine. Trish & Pat Thornton
We stayed saturday night the 21st June hotel was ok for the deal i got pretty basic generally but staff very friendly food ok the only problem i found was we were in Room 202 and the Shower screen is a disaster you cannot use the shower without getting into to bath and if you turn on the water and its on hot your in serious Idid bring this to the Receptionists attention when leaving sunday morning its very central and good place for groups to meet up and have some fun would i go again YES but not to room 202
Had a lovely stay. Great location and staff couldn't do enough for u. Really friendly and genuinely so. The meal ad on is great value and the food is gorgeous
just back from a weekend in Treacy's. great hotel so close to train & bus station. a few mins walk to city centre. staff are very friendly and great entertainment in bar at night. would highly recommend this hotel. Margaret Gaynor
I had a pleasant stay in Treacys Hotel and I will definitely use this hotel again.
Very enjoyable visit, staff very friendly and efficient.Pity it rained for the weekend.................We will return.
the accommodation was ok .i found the bed very hard .i asked for a quiet room i/m glad i did not get a normal room as our room was not very restful by night.. the breakfast's were only just warm. the dinner was very basic even on the al a cart menu. the service .was ok..but the staff.t no one put them self out to make any one feel welcome .the only exceptions was the receptionist and the pool staff overall i would not pick this hotel when in waterford again malcolm rogers from cork
Lovely hotel very friendly and helpful, staff were great with children. Our children loved the games room and swimming pool all in all we had a great stay and would highly recommend this hotel:)
The staff were very friendly and helpful with suggestions of what to do while we were visiting Waterford. The free parking is about 4/5 min walk from the hotel which is totally fine and handy and great that its free too! But good to note if you have kids or big/heavy bags to bring from the car. Breakfast was fine the usual fry-up, ceral, tea, toast etc. The room was great, spacious and the bathroom was grand size and clean! Bed were very comfy! Was melting at night but thats the way it usually is in hotels, there was a fan in the room but we managed to forget about that and just left the window wide open! The leisure centre was lovely! really enjoyed the swimming pool and the sauna :) Overall lovely hotel would go back and recommend to friends and family!
Very disappointing stay at Treacys hotel. It is v run down and in need of an overhaul. Staff at front desk quite rude. On the upside food in restaurant was good but breakfast extremely poor. Pool very average and no lifeguard on duty. Have to say the girls in the kids club were great. Will never return. 2 star rating
This Hotel was excellent. The staff were very pleasant. There was a great selection for the breakfast and the food was very nice. I also enjoyed the leisure centre. The only negative was accessing the car park. Michael, Dublin 5.
Stayed in hotel on Bank Holiday Monday. Staff were excellent and friendly food was fab. Had my 2 children with me and they went to the kids club that evening from 7-9.30 for activities and a movie. They had a ball and my mother and myself were able to relax and have a meal while they were at the club. Have been in Treacys several times before and always come back for the friendly service and the good food and off course great location to shops and a trip to tramore for the kids!!!
Room smelt of cigarettes. and fire alarm went of at midnight. tv didnt work. was cheap so didnt bother me too much but still.
had a great night at traceys staff are great very nice will b going back
Staff were very friendly when checking in, and it was quick and our room was available. The room itself was quite small, with no real view, and very dark, as the room was tucked away at the back of the hotel. We had to have the lights on at all times, and when the ironing board was up, trying to get around the room, was quite difficult. As we got the hotel deal on the lidl-breaks, I would wonder if we would've had the same room had we booked direct with the hotel, as they generally keep rooms for these deals to one side, and I've used them before and seem to get the smaller / more awkward room. The signs for the Leisure centre are hard to follow, and it wasn't only us, as when we were looking for the pool, we ran into another couple and gent looking also. Again the staff were very friendly, and the pool area was clean and nice. The dinner was lovely, and again staff very friendly... but on another note, the floor was very slippy, and on a couple of occasions I seen ladies slipping in heels, and almost feel myself, only for my partner caught me.... There was no sign up to warn you of this, and hitting a tiled floor may have resulted in a nasty injury for someone. The buzz in the hotel is great, but not too sure I'd return to this hotel based on the room,
Clean and very friendly hotel. excellent location.
Had a lovely weekend . Staff were very nice, food very good , Stayed there before & will go back again..
hi, just back from a lovely relaxing weekend in Waterford, lovely hotel, very friendly staff and great food, what more can you ask for , thanks Lidl breaks.
Really enjoyed our stay here. Lovely staff and great food. As it was St Patricks weekend the bar was busy all weekend. Live music and plenty of craic. Staff couldn't do enough for you. We were staying in new part of hotel and room was lovely and spacious. Hotel is also walking distance from city centre.
We had a fantastic two night weekend break at staying in Tracey's Hotel. I must say the staff were excellent, and the entertainment was great. will be back
enjoyed our stay, the staff were friendly and the food was fab..will deff be back again x
Arrived for a two nights stay. Booked a family room for two adults and two kids. Room was nice size but there was a musty smell everytime you entered the room. The staff were very helpful, friendly and polite. Enjoyed the stay.
Young Couple Overall We enjoyed our stay at Tracey's. The staff were friendly and efficient, Room was Clean but to our disappointment it was very small, poorly laid out and decor extremely dated. Bed Linen was of poor quality and the duvet cover wasn't in the duvet properly, Also we only had one pillow each and there were no spares left in the wardrobe. We were next to a side street and could hear the goings on outside til the early hours of the morning, Window insulation was very poor. Corridor floors were very creaky and we could hear everybody that walked passed. We ate in the Thai restaurant and the bar and both meal were really nice. Breakfast was lovely also, Great choice. We used the Pool, Sauna, steam room and Jacuzzi. We both really enjoyed these, Great facilities. Overall we had a great stay, Just the room let it down for us.
Unfortunately it's not possible to give a zero star rating The hotel itself is ok. The double room was very small as was the bathroom but it was modern enough and as we were only staying for one night it was ok. The breakfast was a buffet self service with your standard cereals juices and fried food. It was actually above average. We booked the evening dinner with B/B option and unfortunately the Dinner arrangements are a shambles. The restaurant is not big enough to cater for the number of rooms in the hotel. On arrival we were offered a 5PM or 9PM dinner slot. When we asked if there were any other available slots we were told we could dine in the Thai restaurant instead. That seemed an ok option however when we sat down for dinner later that evening we were told we were only allowed €15 per person from the Thai menu. There was nothing for €15 on the menu! We were offered the set menu from the hotel restaurant but didn't want to eat what was essentially bar food in a Thai restaurant, If this arrangement had been told to us at reception when we booked the table, we'd have made alternative dinner arrangements, We asked to speak to a manager for clarification as they whole situation seemed extremely confusing and unlikely. We're well travelled people and have stayed in hotels all over Ireland, Europe and the U.S and I have to say, that the manageress that greeted our query was the rudest must obnoxious person we've ever had the misfortune to encounter. She started the conversation with " I've been a manager for 20 years" and continued to talk down to us in a rude and condescending manner. She basically told us that they are very busy and there was nothing she could do if we only had €15 allowance in the restaurant, When we told her that's fine but this should be stated at time of check in at reception, she told us " the reception staff can't be expected to know that kind of information" At that point we told her to leave us alone and let us have our meal. To top it off, the drinks that we'd ordered hadn't arrived and when we asked about the delay she informed us that the reason they delayed was because "you've asked to speak to me" A couple at the table beside us had a similar experience and when they complained at the end of their meal, they were asked to leave the restaurant. The general manager then followed them out to the bar and accused them of walking out without paying. Fawllty towers stuff really. Will I be staying here again, would I recommend this hotel? No and No. Customer service re-training required for the management staff in this hotel. While they are at it, they need to sort out the dining arrangements, Horrible experience.
have to say he hotel was brilliant location was fab and the kids had great fun making freind in the kids clubs this hotel caters for everyone and will be going back again
We stayed at this hotel for the February midterm break 2014. Although the reception has the appearance of being clean and new, I have to say that the bedroom & corridors were outdated. When we arrived to our room the thermostat was set at 15deg so the room was quite cold. There was an extensive lunch menu in the bar, the food in the bar was fine....nice bar area. When we came back to our room in the evening the room was warmer as we had turned up the thermostat from 15deg but there was a nasty smell in the room. Our reservation for dinner was at 7pm and we waited outside what we thought was the restaurant (it appeared to be closed as there were no diners). A queue started to form and everyone waited outside to be seated. Eventually a member of the hotel staff mentioned that we must walk through this restaurant to the next - a completely different section where the restaurant was quite busy. I have to say that the restaurant was very child friendly and colouring sheets etc were provided for the kids. When we came back to our room that evening there was an awful smell from the bathroom. It got progressively worse throughout the night and by morning we couldn’t use the bathroom from the stench inside it – smell was like a blocked sewer. All in all I would definitely visit Waterford again but I would not stay in this hotel.
We got a good deal for 2 nights midweek and I would say we got what we paid for. The hotel is quite dated but staff were very friendly and helpful and the food in the bar was very good. However the selection at breakfast was very limited if you didn't want a fry and the water in bathroom was lukewarm at best. Good central location if you want to explore Waterford.
treacey hotel lovely place to stay lovelly staff the meals was lovely and cheap mervyn /claire /portlaoise
Great central location, staff excellent and food was lovely in the bar as was the atmosphere and music. Rooms a little dated but clean and have tv with a good few channels, which was great for kids.
From Friday to Monday,réception staff very helpful and courteous and that extended to room staff, restaurant and bar staff, nothing to much, plenty food aswell. We will be back.
Fantastic! The staff were beyond friendly from reception, to the restaurant and to the leisure centre. Thr rooms are well equipped and comfortable. Fantastic value for the €100 for two adults and one child. The meal was fantastic also. The only thing that could cause bother is the car parking. The hotel does provide it in a multi-story car park which closes at 10 and opens at 6 in the morning. The Car Park is hard to find due to no left turn outside the hotel. It would be handy if a map to get to the carpark was sent with the booking confirmation but this doesn't happen. I would recommend to future guests just to plan parking in advance or call into reception where they provide directions for car parking. Thank you so much to staff for making such an enjoyable stay and I will be booking again
Stayed for two nights very old hotel narrow corroders dark and gloomy the room was very small we had a meal in the restaurant did not enjoy , it looked like the meal was reheated not freshly cooked, we were also charged for the coffee's which were include on the lidl deal it was not a bit relaxing children running up and down the corroder spend a lot of our weekend in the Granville hotel eating and drinking.
Rooms were clean, staff were friendly but i thought some of the bar food was a bit pricey for what you got.. Example> 6 Chicken Goujons on their own, no chips or salad as requested 13 Euros.. Asked for Turkey and Ham with chips and we were told we couldnt have veg with that, Im working in the Catering business myself and could not understand why this was...
Myself and my partner recently stayed in this hotel very nice friendly and helpful staff the bar/restaurant food is gorgeous, would defo go back :)
great central location with easy access to shopping area and historical sites. Hotel facilities and food were v good. Staff v helpful. Would definitely return for another visit.
Great Hotel. Very friendly staff. Great music in bar. Prime location to train station and shopping area.
very friendly and helpful staff. very cosy hotel. Poll was great. The food in both the bar and restruant werelovely with very good service. The breakfast was lovely with plenty to choise from Very good weekend really enjoyed the break
Hotel was excellent, spotless clean, we stayed for two nights and one evening meal, food was excellent and plenty of it Staff could not do enough for us , very pleasent and friendly will be returing again soon,
I would highly recommend Treacys Hotel and Leisure Centre. We as a family had an excellent weekend there recently. Rooms were lovely, cleaned every day, staff were extremely helpful and pleasant, nothing was to much trouble. The swimming pool and Spa were brilliant, the kids loved it. .Nightly entertainment was very enjoyable as it catered for all ages. The kids had a ball in the crafts and cinema every night, which gave the parents time to themselves. The large shopping area is just a few minutes walk along the River with some quaint side streets to browse around. Lots of pubs and nightclubs to venture into. We will definitely be returning.
Nice hotel, good location close to town center, railway station, bus terminals etc. We booked the 2 nights stay with bed, breakfast and evening meal, food was of a decent standard, however the dining areas and bar can get very busy and there is barely enough room to cater for all the guests.Rooms were quite small but we spent most of our time out and about so didnt bother us, it is quite a lively hotel and everyone staying here seemed to be having a good time with a good choice of entertainment in the evenings.
Not very impressed at all. We had two twin rooms, they were both on the small side and in need of a face lift. Food in bar and dining room was passable. The breakfast was mayhem, self service with little space and badly laid out. So much so that we paid 5 euro each to have it brought to our room on the second morning. The noise from the bar on the Saturday was unbelievable. At 3.15 am I phoned reception as we were still unable to sleep because of the music and we were told the the bar remains open till 3.30 am on Saturdays!!!!. The singing went on till 5.20am. So all in all I most certainly would not recommend Treacy under and circumstances. I would rate it 3 out of 10 at the most. Irene Kenny
We , a family of four, were very happy with this hotel. It ticked all the boxes for us. The staff could not have been nicer, the rooms were v clean and well equipped and we really enjoyed the use of the pool which was open at all times for the children ( a nice bonus )> Breakfast excellent and very generous. Overall, a lovely friendly family run hotel.
Stayed at Treacys Friday just gone, was quite disappointed. Location wise it is great but really the hotel could do with spruce up. We were on the second floor above the bar where a band/ DJ played to the wee hours, if you are looking for a quite weekend it would not be the place to stay (some serious sound proofing would be a great investment here). It was not all bad, staff were lovely and leisure centre was very nice but if its a quite, romantic & relaxing weekend you want this is not the place to stay.
Great Hotel. We had a fab time as we celebrated a special birthday with a group of friends. Food was lovely and I felt very welcome. A short walk from the train station. Rooms where clean and bed was very comfy. Manager was also was helpful. I would go back and I would recommend for a party amosphere.l
My husband and I stayed in Treacy's last weekend. We really enjoyed ourselves, The staff were very helpful, the food was delicious, and the entertainment in the evening was terrific!! We will go back again very soon....
husband and I enjoyed our 4 nights at this hotel, rooms very good, friendly and helpful staff , busy bar, good entertainment, breakfast buffet was brilliant had everything there, would recommend this hotel could be calling again.
Great location. staff were lovely. rooms were lovely. the décor of the hallways and the breakfast really let the hotel down. the breakfast buffet was more like animals scrambling for food, in a giant canteen like room. however, was very impressed with the rooms and Croker restaurant and the spa was fabulous.
Cannot say anything bad about our stay in Treacys Hotel.Waterford. Excellent Value .great food .Dinner and Breakfast. All the staff from reception to restraunt to bar staff to leisure center could not have been nicer or more professional .congratulations to treacys and Lidl. for this partnership. Long may you continue in your endevours. Michael Okeeffe [Raheny]
Stayed 2nights last week at Treacys Hotel, Central location, looks lovely from out side, very disappointed with inside needs to be updated, bedroom clean but need painting, bathroom so small and handle on door broken, said wireless internet in all rooms but only by a lead for laptops so no use for phones or tablets, breakfast room awful and food very poor, choice between brown/white sliced bread only, no soda or rolls. Staff very friendly but would not stay there again
Treacys provided everything that we needed for a short family break. Great location, friendly and very helpful staff, excellent food and at really affordable rates. We were delighted with the leisure and spa facilities. Treacys is our preferred choice of hotel for visits to Waterford, we are looking forward to returning for Winterville.
Stayed at Treacy's hotel for 2 nights with my husband and 2 girls. Staff couldn't have done enough for Us. 2 evening meals included in price for adults Family room was spacious, spotlessly clean & homely Food was also fab. I can not fault this hotel, totally Recommend to my friends and family & will defo book Again Thanks F McG
Hotel in a great location, car park for guests could be doing with better signage as it was hard to find. Dinner supplement was €20 one night and only €15 the next without any explanation. Fire alarm went off at 0630 which I understand can happen but an opology from management for the early wake up considering we had 2 kids would have been nice. Staff could not be faulted, very helpful and a good kids club.
Stayed one night B & B in hotel. Decided to have dinner there as menu looked good value for money. Had a very enjoyable stay. Great location. Staff very nice everywhere. Very comfortable & clean. C. Kearney
Just back from a three day stay there, food wasn't great in the bar but they had a large booking in the restaurant that night so they may have just been really busy. Our room was lovely apart from the fact it was right over the pool and the heat of the room was unbearable-we had to leave the air con on 24/7.Other than that the breakfast was really nice and the entertainment was very good, especially on thursday night a chap called eoin was singing-he was absolutely brilliant and a lovely fella.Would definitely return to treacys hotel.
Excellent Stay at this Hotel. My wife and I went along with our 2 girls and had a Brillant time. The Food, Staff and Facilities were Excellent. Rooms were Clean and Spacious. Overall we will definitely be returning next year.
We stayed for 2 nights the staff were very friendly and helpful our rooms were very spacious and comfortable although a bit of a trek from reception no problem to the younger members of our group we had an 84yr old and a young man with special needs who we had to be accompanied at all times Food was excellent and we had an excellent time and would recommend this hotel
Enjoyed our stay, rooms good, friendly staff, busy bar and good entertainment, hefty buffet breakfast.
fab place, excellent location, great service, lovely food - cudnt have asked for more. marian worth a mention-very friendly and great to see at front of house, restaurant and at breakfast! music in bar great - we had a fab weekend - wud defo recommend a stay here!
staff were very nice, and hotel was nice the only fault id have is the leisure center was in a different building down the road and the car park is the aldi carpark where three cars had been broken in to. for this reason i would not stay again. the bathroom was very small you could hardly close the door and the bed was rock hard.
Excellent. Comfort and value for money Lovely food and friendly staff. Convenient to bus and train stations. Highly recommended to all my friends and family. Thanks for a lovely weekend Martin and Maria Groves Dublin
we had a great weekend in Treacy's Hotel Waterford, the staff were very friendly and really couldnt do enough for you. the room was spotless and very comfortable. entertainment in the bar on each night so no need to leave the hotel. there were little touches like cocktail sausages and wedges given to every table sat night, lovely, and if it was your birthday, anniversary or any special occasion there was a little gift for you. The food served in restaurant and bar was delightful. will definitely be going back again!
Our recent stay at Tracey's Hotel and Spa was a very enjoyable one. The hotel is a lovely place to stay and the staff are extremely friendly and helpful. The location of the hotel is perfect as it is close to everything, including the train and bus stations. The bar in the hotel is a lovely place to sit and relax in the day time and the entertainment in the night time is top class. We are hoping to return to Tracey's hotel in the near future.
Found this hotel lovely, old fashioned and quaint, but in a good way. Food in restaurant was lovely Friday night, breakfast self service, plenty of everything. Am coeliac, was no problem to staff in hotel. Didn't make it to leisure centre. Only quibble would be the length of time it took for shower to become hot-all that water wasted!! Great setting on Quays in Waterford, great music in bar both Friday and Saturday
Staff were lovely, pool small but clean, rooms could do with an upgrade.v small and our bed was 2 singles put together.good fun in the bar.food a little over priced.restaurant food was lovely but little choice with the lidls deal.would recommend it for a fun weekend away for couples but not really for kids.v good value
The best hotel we stayed in by far could not fault it on anything food was lovely staff were very helpful and rooms were top class thanks for making it such a lovely stay
We had an evening meal included in our stay which was very disappointing - food was awful & my dessert was stale. The breakfast was also equally disappointing, didn’t eat in the hotel the 2nd night as couldn’t face it. The breakfast was a buffet style & the food was pretty much cremated & uneatable. Our double room consisted of 2 single beds pushed together which is a total pet hate of mine Hotel was very noisy with kids constantly running up & down the corridors - walls are paper thin so if your looking for a bit of privacy then your in the wrong hotel. Over-all there’s no way its up to 3 star hotel quality - disappointing to say the least, definitely wont be returning again!!
Found Treacys Hotel to be thoroughly good value for money Excellent Dinner and Breakfast and the Staff were exceedingly friendly and helpful, will avail of the facilities again in the near future. Robert Hunter
On arrival there was a very limited welcome it was more have myself processed and done with more then a warm welcom First impression of the rooms COLD, this may be because I was situated on the top floor at the very end. Rooms are really standard I wouldn't say they are comfort in mind, few little basics that I would of brought to there attention and had been dealth with as like it was the norm. Food was ok as the misses said she enjoyed it. The night staff were excellent and very helpful The leisure centre staff where friendly, the changing rooms where clean but I would suggest checking the water lines for the pool water for air in the system as the pool was a little cloudy. Also if the pool requires C02 then I would suggest using this as the red eye effect would start to decline and have a PH level and around 7.2 - 7.4 ratio. Overall if your looking for a weekend of just the nightlife and don't mind the budget way of doing so I would recommend this otherwise I wouldn't Thanks J
We were in Treaceys hotel for 3 nights in the mid term. We will go back again as we had a wonderful time there. the staff were faband made us fell very welcome they bent over backwards for us. The hotel was also verywarm comfortable and very clean. We hope to go back early in the spring.
Not totally impressed with this hotel. We booked for a Mon and Tues night and were given a small room with an even smaller double bed. Breakfast was cold one of the mornings. TV stations were not working. Parking was two streets away not ideal. All the small things that add up to a pleasant stay were lacking really.
Just back from Oct bank holiday spent in Traceys . Great location, right in the centre of things. Staff were very helpful and friendly. Food was magnificent. All round great place to spend your long or short vacation. Marie Dublin
Hotel always has a great atmosphere. Leisure centre is brilliant. Parts of Hotel could do with a makeover. No shortage of food for breakfast. Really enjoyed my stay. The prices are very reasonable. I will be back again.
Really enjoyed our stay in Treacy's Hotel. The staff were very friendly and helpful. Great deal for 2 nights bed and breakfast and one evening meal. Enjoyed leisure facilities and entertainment in the bar. We did make the mistake of parking across the road from the hotel which is a set rate of 5 euro, we should have contacted the hotel before arrival for directions to the hotel car park. Highly recommended.
Room was fine, staff friendly. Got a great night sleep no disturbances or noise. The hotel was very easy to find and very well located to shops pubs etc. Breakfast wasn't the best or worst. I would stay here again.
Spent one night in Treacys ,Very central to shopping area and bars. Food was good and service was excellant at both dinner and breakfast. Room was quite small, we only slept in it so it wasn't a problem. Very friendly helpful staff. Enjoyed our stay and would return in the future
loved the hotel good entertainment and a good location if your traveling by train the only downside to our weekend was breakfast on saturday morning was very slow and wasnt self service as stated
We found the hotel to be really friendly, great location and wonderful staff !! Great for a lads weekend or even with the family. Walking distance to everything, pubs, restaurants and right in front of the river. Oh and a great breakfast put on in the morning :) Thanks again folks for making out stay very comfortable
sorry to say stayed here for one night. room was cold no heating, fire alarm went off during the night everyone was up in the lobby to be told false alarm something malfunctioned in the kitchen, cut to two hours later the same thing happened again.NO APOLOGY at all this was 6.50.am. also i left my laptop charger after me in my room it took 6 phone calls and 3 days for them to tell me i didnt leave it in the room when i know i did and where but was told no and thats that.WILL NEVER STAY HERE AGAIN.
had a great couple of days in waterford, stayed in traceys hotel and it fab, rooms were lovely and the staff were amazing very friendly and helpfull, will stay again
We really enjoyed our overnight stay at Treacys Hotel and Leisure. We were greeted at reception by extremely helpful staff and were informed immediately that we were receiving a room upgrade at no extra charge. The room was great, powerful shower, black out curtains, digitally controlled room thermostat and much more although due to the fact that it was in block b it meant that it was slightly awkward initially to find.Only other grumble was that there was only one of each towel even though it was a double room with double occupancy.Parking was available free in a nearby car park facility and the location of the hotel itself is perfect as it is on the quay and within walking distance of all city facilities. The city was extremely lively as it was the eve of the Ireland v Wales rugby international and the atmosphere all around the city and in the hotel was excellent. Although we did not use the leisure facilities they looked fabulous. Breakfast in the morning was top notch. I would recommend Treacys as being superb value for money. We will be back.,
Myseif and my partener stayed here for two nights in late january. The hotel is very central to town. Rooms clean but clothes hanging space too small and room was dark. but we had our dinner in hotel which was lovely and breakfast was grand , staff are lovely . but i would say to any one that has old people or gets hard to walk when booking request to be in front block , as we were in block B on gym side and it meant taking two different lifs to get to our room and a long walk to our room . they have an exit from block B to back street which is handy , but you still have two lifts and a long walk to the bar and for breakfast. just look at that if u have older people with you . we enjoyed our stayed . and would stay again . oh yes they have a car park but again it a two day camel ride from hotel [do they all like walking ?] we used the public car park across from hotel u pay 5 euro when u exit which is not bad as our car was there and not moved for two days. I hope this review is some help to you on making ur choice .
Stayed in Treacys for 2 nights - Thurs and Fri. Great location. Rooms clean and fresh. Staff very polite and friendly. Breakfast bedlam - have to be up early to avoid rush as self service. Leisure centre small but very clean and staff very friendly. Would be happy to stay here again.
We had a great time at Treacys Hotel. The staff were fantastic and couldnt do enough for you. We had only booked one night but ended up staying for a second night. Our rooms were lovely. We were in the new part Block B. It is a bit of a walk to the room but worth it. The only thing I would say is that there is no Kids Club on weekends as stated on the Lidl website. Only on Mid-term and Summer Holidays. We had 5 children with us and there wasnt a great deal to do although they are made feel very welcome. All in all we had a great stay and would definitely go back.
had a lovely break right in the middle of everything would highly recommend it, very clean staff very friendly
We had a great break in Treacys Hotel. The good points would be - Very friendly staff, the hotel is very clean and kept to a high standard, the room was great, the buffet breakfast is all you could ask for, it is a very child friendly hotel, the have a kids club and enterntainment for them in the bar. The only bad points I can think of is the hotels own car park is to far from the hotel, the pay parking across the road from the hotel is far more convienent.
The hotel facilities were really good and the hotel location is perfect it is very really handy to go out and explore and to go out for restaurants, shopping all within walking distance. The staff were really friendly, the Kids Club was really good and convenient to back up for rainy days. The only thing I would say that from our bedroom you could hear the noises from the fan or extractor or maybe the water pump or generator I couldn't figure it out I even asked in reception and they didn't know what it was the noise, also you could heard the sound of the band that was playing there, but I didn't mind the music though. So otherwise it will give it 5 stars.
We stayed as a family in Treacys Hotel during the school holiday, and found it to be a wonderful experience. The kids club was the major advantage, as it allowed us, as adults, to enjoy our stay also, with some time to ourselves. The breakfast buffet was refreshingly good, as sometime hotels tend to skimp on the food available to customers, Treacys Hotel ensured a plentiful supply for the range of differing appetites. There was entertainment each evening in the hotel bar, which allowed us to stay in the comfort of the hotel enjoying the break. The rooms were of good size, clean and modern. We will for sure being going back for that family break experience.
Clean and comfortable with nice bar food but fairly average.
9/10 v family friendly hotel staff v helpful centeral location
We booked a 3 night stay in Treacys hotel through the Lidl Breaks offer. We found it to great value for money. The hotel itself was an old hotel but very welcoming. The staff were nothing but helpful and polite. We stayed in block B the newer part of the hotel which was very awkward to get to from the reception area with buggy & suitcases etc. It involved taking 2 lifts & walking at least a corridor & a half. The rooms themselves were spotlessly clean and the new part also had air-conditioning which we found to be a must as with 5 of us in a family room, the room was very small compared to other family rooms we have stayed in. Food for breakfast was lovely, plenty of variety and choice and the room was big & airy. We used the restaurant for dinner on one evening and the food was fine. The bar/lounge area is again old but welcoming and again the staff were very helpful. The only thing is the swimming pool doesn't have a children's pool so with a toddler it is very hard to relax & enjoy your swim when you have to carry them around all the time. Overall we had a lovely stay and are rating it a 3 on the basis that there could be some improvements made. Gavin & Gillian Scully, Meath
enjoyed my stay in treacys of waterford lidl breaks great value went for 3 nites kids club was great just 2 suggest maybe better selection 4 breakfast better selection of fruit and yogurts and maybe things like crossants and pastries
I and my partner stayed in this hotel just last week for 3 night break,to be honest i didnt think much of the room we were given.the kids were given a camp bed to sleep on and every time they sat on it ,it began to fold nor was it comfortable.the room was so stuffy it was hard to sleep and very noisy at night was not impressed with hotel . staff friendly and child freindly great location, pity about the parking, and my room
The rooms were too warm, and the fan was not worth having in the room! The noise outside from the traffic kept me awake most of the night! Apart from that it was a nice Hotel.
we booked a family room very happy with the size could of fitting 5/6 people in it view was not good swimming pool was great but the changing room was a major let down very basic compared 2 other hotels i have been in staff very friendly and food was lovely entainment in the bar was very good location was excellent over all had a good few days but wouldn't return
Very disappointed with the hotel. The room we were given was very small and noisy. There was one sachet of coffee when we arrived in the room the rest were decaffeinated. I went to reception and asked for more and was given more decaffeinated, though i did not check at the time so did not realise that until I got back to the room. So back to reception to be told I would have to go to the bar to get some sachets of coffee. The barman eventually found some for me. Shortly after i arrived back at the room ,in fairness a very nice girl from housekeeping arrived with more coffee, so we ended up with plenty. The following day we went out and returned to the hotel and ordered bar food. The seafood chowder was lovely although the chicken salad sandwich arrived toasted !!!!! In fairness it was replaced , My partners sandwich also arrived toasted although this was not requested, Later we went back to the room to discover that housekeeping had removed the hard fought for coffee from the room and left just 2 sachets of coffee. Mind you at least they had left the milk we had bought which was something. The Breakfast as fine. Was disappointed with the room, maybe that was because we requested a smoking room. But i know it was not the last smoking room available when we checked in. Would have to seriously consider using Tracey's and Lidl breaks again on this first time experience of both.
I recently stayed in Treacys hotel on a three night lidl break. I found it good value for money and the staff were very helpful. I would recommend it.
really enjoyed my lidl break away in treaceys hotel in waterford, top class hotel couldn't fault it.Beautiful breakfast great valuewill be using lidl breaks again
We stayed in Treacys Hotel for 4 nights on a Lidl break. We had a lovely stay. Location is ideal plenty to see and lots of shops. Hotel was very comfortable and the staff were all very helpful and friendly. Food was very enjoyable and plenty of it. I had a very relaxing massage and facial very reasonably priced as well. The girls in the Spa were wonderful. Our break was for our 35th. Wedding Anniversary. Overall we thoroughly enjoyed our stay. Lidl breaks are great value for money. We would definitely stay in Treacys again. Frances and Joe Bergin. Dublin
lovely homely hotel. the staff were very friendly and helpful, especially to our special daughter. we stayed on lidl breaks and thought it was great value for money.
The value for money was very good. We booked for 2 nights. The kids club was very good and worth the %u20AC5!! I would book it all again.
great value for money. booking all breaks with lidlbreaks. thanks a million for fantastic deals, hotel i will rate only at 3 stars. rooms was only ok. compare to hotels we stayed with lidl breaks traces hotel not as nice. staff was very helpfull. thanks to sharon in reception. and convinient that it is in middle of city. thanks again.
Our stay in the hotel was exactly what I was looking for to treat my English guest to some Irish hospitatility, Bed rooms spic & span, very comfortable. The bar had a nice friendly atmosphere where we found we could relax while listening to some live music & enjoy some very well presented food after a busy day sight seeing Breakfast nicely laid out for customers own choice, plenty of variety to suit all tastes. Staff all very helpful and friendly. I would strongly recommend Lidl breaks for great value & booking efficiency. My guest was very impressed, and I will definitely be booking into this hotel again. Thanks Margaret.
Found the lidl breaks a great website to book from. we booked double room and added request for cot which was in the room when we arrived. Hotel is great for children and centrally located from waterford. While the hotel claims to be newly refurbished there is still more to do. The bar/lounge could do with a good clean and freshen up. The breakfast is fine but small improvements could be made with the continental breakfast which doesn't exist in my opinion but the breakfast room is lovely and big. The bedroom was fine but I would have liked to have stayed in the new section of the building as they are much nicer. The leisure area is brilliant pool lovely and warm and all staff are very friendly. I would recommend the spa had one of the best massages there. Overall we had a great break away in this hotel but would like to see improvements continue as they are getting there and could be one of the best hotels in waterford.
This was a lovely hotel and I would recommend it to anyone.
