This was a great deal from 3 and Louis Fitzgerald. Staff were very friendly and helpful. Room was spotless and very comfortable. Breakfast was perfect, the maitre D was so friendly and explained the running of the breakfast procedure, he even introduced us to the super cheerful chefs, who are happy to make items not already cooked on the buffet, such as waffles/omelette etc The hotel is about a 10/15 minute walk from the Luas, which really suited us as we had a concert in the Olympia, so using the Luas meant we could have a drink and at €7.50 return for the both of us, it was well worth it! It took about 25 mins into the centre. Overall, a great experience in the Louis Fitzgerald made even sweeter by the cheap deal we got through 3Plus. Happy to recommend!
the hotel was execlent but was told there would be live music on new years but there was nothing on room had three single beds when we asked fora double and a single the breakfast was cold
Stayed with 2 old Friends and it was great. Rooms exactly what we required 3 Single beds. We did have trouble with the lifts but as soon as we mentioned to girl on desk it was sorted but guest should be told on checkin how the lifts work - place your key in slot and lift will stop on your floor. Breakfast great and overall staff were friendly and efficient. Will stay again
I have stayed at this hotel several times. The location is perfect for using the Luas into town. Had dinner in the bar (lamb shank) and it was excellent. All in all a very consistent hotel.
stayed with my 2 kids, great value comfortable hotel..id stay here again..
Friendly hotel with clean comfortable rooms close to town
Excellent; efficiently run by friendly staff.
Enjoyed the stay very much,Dinner very good and breakfast the same the only comment i make is the TV are out of date they dont even have freeview services on view, one think you need overall is new TV,s Pat and Linda
Excellent Stay, The staff , the food, the rooms - everything about this stay was 5 star. Have stayed here on several occasions, and will definetly be returning. Keep up the good work.
Always an enjoyable stay, lovely staff.
great hotel have stayed here a few times and always happy with everything
Very pleased with our stay, Rooms spacious, clean and toasty warm. All staff very helpful, only down side was the lack of jam for the breakfast!!!
Very comfortable, small but clean room. Thoroughly enjoyed our stay. Breakfast so nice too. No complaints at all. Will definately stay there again in future....
We enjoyed a lovely 2 night stay. The hotel is beautiful - modern, décor is gorgeous and it is warm, spotlessly clean and very comfortable. The staff was lovely too and we had 2 mornings of great breakfasts there. Great price on LIDL website for room at peak season (Halloween midterm break)
Stayed October 16 for a weekend. Booked this hotel to celebrate our wedding anniversary.Perfect weekend, the room, the food, and staff, were all excellent, 10 out of 10. We were pleasantly surprised to find a gift of a bottle wine in our room which was much appreciated, and would like to thank management and staff for a wonderful weekend, and we will definitely return in the near future. and recommend this hotel .
Love this hotel...rooms are spacious and clean. We asked for a quiet room like the last time however whilst we were told it would be there was huge amount of people and noise at 3am returning to their room. Shame. The breakfast was fantastic and the pancakes were to die for.
Have stayed here on a number of occasion and was always happy with the hotel service, staff etc. However, this visit was the complete opposite of other times. Room was ok, but the toiletries were petty miserable. Towels, t were very poor quality, the thinnest and scantiest I have come across for a long time. (I've had far superior towels in budget hotels). We had to leave early in the morning, before breakfast was served. We were given a packed lunch which was inedible. It consisted of a sandwich - bread was stale and the fillings were not what we ordered. We had to ask for coffee at reception and the receptionist seemed surprised that we were asking.. He began pouring the coffee, which he left, so that he could check out a number of guests. After 5 minutes he came back to us filled the other (half cup) of coffer and shoved them across the counter at us. I requester milk,( a small amount in each) but despite being asked to stop, he continued to pour milk in to almost fill the cups. The coffee was stone cold and undrinkable and we left it. The result was that we left this (once top class) hotel with stale sandwiches, which we couldn't eat and a kiddies size juice. We have paid our last visit to the Louis Fitzgerald.
We have stayed 4/5 times, efficient check iin. Food was fine in the bar, hotel much busier in Saturday due to the all Ireland. Got the shuttle bus to and from croke park. Luas is at least 20 minute walk so may not suit a lot of people. Free Car parking is a great bonus . Will stay again
Our one stay at the Louis Fitzgerald Hotel was very pleasant and the staff were very helpful as it was late when we arrived we were greeted with a smile and a cheerful manner. Our room was clean and nice and warm, the breakfast next morning was catered for everyone. It was only 20 minutes to the airport which was great, I would have no hesitation in recommending this hotel. Would definitely go back again.
Lovely hotel. Staff were very friendly and helpful. Would definitely stay here again. Could do with better sign posts as we found it difficult to find the entrance.
Very pleased with our stay. Modern, clean, and welcoming hotel. Breakfast was good
Good Hotel with nice bedrooms a huge comfortable doube bed. This is our third stay and is good value. We ate an evening meal in Joel's next door and were delighted it was still serving food on a Subday night up to 10 pm. All good.
Enjoyed our stay in hotel. Lovely and quiet at night. Needs better signposting from Luas at least 15 mins walking time from same.
Absolutely first class, lovely welcome from staff, room big and airy and bathroom super..Food in restaurant is first class and breakfast buffet has something for everyone. They will do eggs how you like as I like poached. Music in the bar, just an overall brill experience.
Stayed with young kids, very large family room, very quiet at night, no noise heard from other rooms. Good selection at breakfast.
I highly recommend the Louis Fitzgerald hotel, its beautiful, clean, fresh decor, fabulous food and terribly nice and friendly staff.we have stayed here for the past three years and always look forward to our stay. Highly recommended. Blaithin O,Neill Wexford
Great hotel, loved our stay and the staff were very welcoming...
Great Value break for an overnight stay for the One Direction Concert. Rooms plenty big and of a decent standard.Bathroom and shower very good. We choose the dinner and breakfast option and great choice for dinner, and great food all round, the buffet breakfast was better than i expected, with a good spread and choice. All staff were very helpful.Luas about a 10 minute walk.Great stay. Thanks You
We stayed at this hotel recently all the staff were very nice and friendly.the restaurant menu choice was excellent and the food was very good.overall we were very happy with our stay.
My husband and I had a wonderful Today FM break in the Louis, the staff are just super there and the food was superb. The Hotel was spotless and close to the Lewis just a 10min walk. We enjoyed a meal in Joels Restaurant which is part of the Hotel again excellent service and food. We will definitely go back sometime.
Perfect one night stay. Food was fantastic. Couldn't fault it. Easy to miss turn for it, could do with better sign post. Would highly recommend great value for money.
Excellent service, very welcome and personal staff . We had great banter with the bar staff when watching a match with my young son.
we had a very enjoyable stay and very much enjoyed breakfast, thank you.
Fab hotel with brilliant staff...would highly recommend & will definitely stay again!
We stayed in the louis fitzgearld for a one night break, we dot a great deal which was dinner, bed and breakfast, which was wonderful the staff overall were fantastic and very helpful, the manager that was in charge of the breakfast room was so uplifting to speak to and the chef was one of the most cheerful chefs I have ever come across snd nothing was a bother to him, thanks again for a lovely stay, we will be back,I think this hotel deserves its 5 stars.
Good location for easy access to M50 or N7. Excellent value for money. Great breakfast and service. Nice clean, modern room with good size flat screen TV. Internet access is good. Will stay there again.
Good food great service rooms lovely location brilliant great overnight stay with friends
enjoyed our stay - would recommend & would stay again Jackie O'Connor
Great hotel, good location and tremendous value for money
A little hard to find because of new road layout, warm friendly welcome , bar food very good , breakfast good , overall I would stay here again .
What a fabulous hotel. From start to finish my Mother and I enjoyed our stay. Nothing was too much trouble. I would recommend this hotel for anyone staying in Dublin.
what a delight to stay in a hotel where the staff treat you so well, nothing was too much trouble for them and always done with a smile. Rooms very clean bathroom exceptional. Had vouchers to eat at Joel's, my favourtie place to eat in Dublin.breakfast something for everyone and eggs cooked fresh and to your liking,,Brilliant place to stay will be returning very soon.
This is the third time we have stayed here . The hotel is about 15/20 minute walk to the LUAS , on our last occasion we drove to the LUAS and paid e4 for parking for the day as we were heading to croke park. Our checkin was fast and friendly from Christine. I had requested the same room we had stayed in our last visit and we got it, it is at the end of the corridor and we had a great nights sleep. Shower is good however not a lot of toiletries. Free parking and WIFI. We had lovely food in the bar and friendly service (Gavin I think looked after us ). Lovely breakfast and lots of it! It might not suit everyone due to location but for us it suits and we will return! Val & John.
fabulous hotel, really helpful and friendly staff, enjoyed my stay
Hotel location is good and rooms are clean. Can be difficult to find for guests due to new flyover, signage should be better at road exit. A real turn off for us was that one poor barman was told by the duty manager that he should wake one of my party, a German guest, to get a swipe of her credit card for bar food, hours after allowing her to charge it to her room!!! We were staying there for a further two nights, and it took quite a bit of arguing before they agreed to accept my credit card as a guarantee for her food bill. This duty manager was very unprofessional, and she would really have preferred that the barman to get the German ladies credit card. This blatant stupidity tainted our view of the Louis Fitzgerald Hotel, I will look for alternatives next time.
Receptionist was excellent, very welcoming and efficient. Location is great (15 min walk to Luas - very safe route). Bar is a bit noisy when there is a function on, but that's the nature of the hotel type (business/functional) etc. Food was good.
Good location, rooms are good, food is fine, peace of mind with underground car park. Some bar and reception staff were quite unprofessional, they actually wanted to wake up a German guest who had signed for our food, so that they could get a swipe of her credit card for the food bill. These guests were booked into the hotel for another night. I had offered a swipe of my card as security, but they just wanted hers. Really silly stuff.
WE HAD A VERY NICE STAY HERE, THE ROOM WAS PERFECT FOR THE FAMILY, COMFY BEDS. IDEAL LOCATION
Excellent hotel location perfect will definitely be staying there again
Great hotel, perfect for 2adults and a child in a family room, lovely food and service. We will definitely stay here again, perfect location for access to city centre also..
Excellent hotel, very clean, good value, location is ok
Stayed last Friday Night, Dinner B&B. Very busy when we arrived - a wedding in full swing! Had dinner in the restaurant, it was wonderful. Room was lovely even though it was a long walk from the lift with a crutch! Not the fault of LF. The heat in the room was too much. We slept on top of bed with window open and fan on all night - in October! Breakfast was great with choices and a chef to cook our eggs to order -very impressed with this ! Staff are the most efficient and pleasant that I have ever come across. I stay in hotels quite often and have a background in same which makes me extremely critical. Couldn't fault LF apart from room too warm. Will be back again. Did not eat in Joel's as the night was very stormy and wet and me on a crutch. Next time.
The hotel was pleasant and provided for all our needs. There was a good selection of food from both restaurants and the quality (and quantity) was excellent. The room was more than satisfactory and service very unobtrusive. There is plenty of on site parking and the LUAS station is a 15/20 minute walk from the hotel. The only down side, which was beyond the hotels control, was the amount of road works in the vicinity. I would recommend this hotel to my friends.
The room was fine though a quilt in July was too much for me. The staff was top class. There was no entertainment or pool , so can't give it 5 stars but if staying in Dublin again would have no problems booking in again. P.S. We got a €60 voucher for our evening meal at Joel's . Stayed 3 nights and got breakfast every morning as well, so can't work out how the hotel made money on us. Definitely the best budget hotel in Dublin at the moment.
poor mobile reception and broadband in our ground floor room . but breakfast were excellent and worthy of a 5 star rating. staff were also excellent
Lovely hotel, clean, modern, helpful staff, great location (road works were ongoing, which caused a bit of a problem), free parking! Great value also. You can choose to eat in the hotel or the restaurant next door, we eat next door & it was great. I'm giving it a 4 star only because I never give 5 stars.
lovely hotel. great access to road network of dublin despite all the roadworks!!! helpful staff.
We stayed in the Louis Fitzgerald Hotel (family room) on our way to Tayto Park the day after my daughters confirmation. The hotel was top class. We were very impressed with the lovely big, bright and airy family room. Everyone of the staff were very helpful and courteous and the breakfast was lovely and tasty. Overall an excellent experience and we look forward to going back again.
We recently had a lovely stay in the louis fitzgerald hotel , would highly recomend this hotel for a pleasent friendly stay in dublin , top marks from arrival till the end , comfort , staff , food , 10 / 10 would definately go back.
check in was friendly and efficient, room well appointed but temperature quite hot. this must be an ongoing issue as there was a fan provided already. complimentary bottled water very much appreciated. breakfast very tasty and good variety. would stay here again.
We booked this hotel at the last minute and stayed on Good Friday 18th April. We booked a family room which was amazing, so spacious. We stayed in room 118 which was like a mini suite. On the right hand side two single beds and large double on the left. In the centre of the room there was a small sofa with table and 2 chairs. Flat screen tv and free WIFI. I would definitely return to this hotel for the size of the family rooms alone. Breakfast was very well organised, self service buffet but there was a chef there full time booking eggs to the customers preference. I ordered two poached eggs and they were brought to the table on a slate plate (very impressed). Other families order omelettes etc. Chef was extra friendly considering all the orders he was dealing with. It was busy hotel with lots of childrens considering if was over the Easter Hols. Would definitely return considering we only paid €78. Great Value. Maria on reception was extremely friendly and chatty. We dined at Joels but because it was Good Friday we limited out choice with food as we stuck with tradition and only ate FISH. Gillian.
Could not fault the hotel to be honest - lovely bright room, food was excellent. We asked for a quiet room and got one with no hotel noise. Staff were extremely friendly. Would definitely stay again!
Great value for a four star hotel, staff very friendly and helpful, would stay again
The good: top-drawer customer service, excellent wifi with good speeds and coverage, great breakfast, convenient+free parking, very good facility The not-so-good: Loud music from somewhere in or around the hotel late Sat to 3am Sun morning, don't know if this is a regular occurrence.
My husband and I had the most amazing time here. The drinks the food the atmosphere where all amazing. We will defiantly be back in the summer with our daughter to go to dublin zoo and of course more shopping! :-)
Staff very friendly and helpful, made us feel like frequent guests. Food excellent! Handy for LUAS into the city centre. Very good value.
Lovely hotel, staff very welcoming and very friendly. Breakfast had a very good selection with plenty of choices for everyone. Great location. We would definitely stay again.
A group of us stayed here for a night and we were all very impressed, with the friendliness of staff, the rooms and the food. 10 out of 10. Martina, Offaly.
Myself and my Fiancee stayed in the LF for an evening dinner overnight stay and breakfast last weekend, it was lovely the staff were brilliant!!! as was the food and comfort of it al. Thel room was spacious but would be nice to have a mirror at the dresser also far too warm even with window open thought we had turned the heating off but alas we got it wrong!!! the fan was a good extra but not enough to cool room down. The drinks very expensive too mostly the splashes of cranberry nearly as dear as the bacardi i was having it with. We really liked the hotel and the package deal was great just have a wee look at bringing down the price of your cranberry and i will be back for more Thanx Carol Derwin Dublin
Everything about this hotel was excellent - friendly helpful staff, great food, nice room. Would have liked enough toiletries for two people. Looking forward to going back soon.
Had a lovely stay in the Louis Fitzgerald, room really nice, bed comfortable, lovely shower. Room was really quiet and no noise. Lovely cooked breakfast , staff really friendly would recommend and will definitely stay there again. Val & John
Stayed in LF Hotel 1 night ,very good, bit of difficuilty getting in ,due to roadworks, Would definitely stay there again, asked for a quiet room ,no problem getting one
Very enjoyable, really nice room, dinner in Joels was excellent, would definitely recommend this hotel and do plan to stay again
Really fantastic stay. Beautiful hotel, comfortable beds and fantastic meal in Joel's. Will book again. Enjoy
Hotel was perfect for our family. Convenient location to Dublin City Center. We will stay there the next time.
Really enjoyed our stay in this hotel, lovely clean hotel , very helpful staff and also enjoyed a great meal in. Restaurant overall this hotel is top notch and will be returning
From the moment we arrived at the reception desk we were made to feel very welcome. The entire staff at the Louis Fitzgerald are to be commended for the friendliness and helpfulness. We stayed for 5 nights as we were working in the vicinity and have nothing negative to say about our experience. We could have dinner in either the Hotel restaurant or Joels, which we did and the food in both is fantastic. Very good value on our package of Dinner, Bed & Breakfast. Highly recommend a stay in this fab hotel and will definitely stay again.
Great hotel, rooms fab,I thought 6.25 for a glass of wine was outrageous. We got some ribs and wings in the restaurant and that was so over priced for what we got.I would stay again but would not eat there.
Stayed in the Louis Fitzgerald last weekend in a family room 2 adults and 2 children. Room’s modern, clean, great space even the children commented how much space we had in the rooms compare to other hotel family rooms. Staff very helpful and polite at all times. Would definitely recommend this hotel as a family base for a weekend to Dublin. Would definitely use this hotel again.
Absolutely Brilliant. Great value however the breakfast wasn't great-a bit cold but overall very good
Our one night stay was just lovely. Couldn't fault it. Easy access from n50. No fuss check-in. Lovely room, bathroom & shower. Very Helpful staff. Evening Meal delicious as was the extensive buffet breakfast. Will stay again.
Hi we recently stayed at the LF a family of four while we were in Dublin for the Mrs Browns show ! we could not have picked a better location to stay and as i had stayed at the LF before thats why i went back ! the staff are excellent so friendly especially the bar staff ! i fully intend to stay there again , can,t wait . thanking you Celine Quinn Thurles
We had a family gathering of 25 people and all the staff at LF were most accommodating. The lady at the reception was very welcoming and the waitress who looked after us was brilliant. We all enjoyed the food. Some of us stayed the night and the bedrooms were clean and spacious. We thoroughly enjoyed a long and leisurely hearty breakfast the next morning. Thank you to all the wonderful staff at LF.
HI stayed at the Louis Fitzgerald hotel 21st Dec, I had a lovely time . The Staff were very helpful, and very nice. The rooms were very nice and clean, just a bit too warm,. would stay here again. Regards Anne
We had a wounderful break at this hotel room lovely staff very friendly food excellent would recommend it to our friends
MY OVERALL VIEW OF MY RECENT STAY AT THE LOIUIS FITZGEARLD WAS EXCELLENT. THE STAFF EXCELLED IN THEIR EFFORTS TO PLEASE THE ROOM WAS WARM AND WELCOMING WITH EVERYTHING YOU COULD NEED PROVIDED AND LAST BUT NO LEAST THE FOOD WAS DELICIOUS WITH AN EXCELLENT VARIETY TO CATER FOR ALL TASTES. I WILL MOST DEFINETLY BE BACK IN 2014 AND WILL GIVE IT A FIVE STAR RATING AT 4 STAR PRICES
Really enjoyed hotel.......room was execellent as was the buffet breakfast...my family enjoyed the stay...only issue was paying €3.10 for a bottle (33cl), of 7UP....expensive to say the least
Minor issue when checking in, one room smelled of smoke from previous guest but reception apologised & moved us to another room. Staff very friendly & helpful. Breakfast was excellent. Overall very good - I would stay again if in Dublin
Hotel was very nice room was perfect, staff were friendly and the food was great and the service
Had a lovely stay on a short shopping break recently, from check in to check out everything was excellent. Room spotlessly clean, comfortable and quiet. We had a lovely meal in the bistro, the best steak in ages. It was cooked exactly to out liking and served with a lovely salad which included fried pears. Staff in all departments were so friendly and helpful, great atmosphere in bar also. Overall an excellent experience.
I stayed at the Louis Fitzgerald Hotel in Dublin recently. I booked a family room for 2 adults and 3 children. We had a very enjoyable stay at this hotel, the staff were very friendly and the breakfast was lovely. We got a great deal for the 5 of us and would definitely return.
We stayed in the Louis Fitzgerald in mid November with our two kids. The room was good, clean and had all the usual facilities. The real strength of this hotel is the staff. They are friendly, polite and unfailingly helpful. On the night we stayed our 9 year old son took ill with a high temperature. We needed to get his temperature down quickly and my wife went to reception to see if there was a pharmacist open late (on a Sunday night). The staff member on reception rang what seemed like every pharmacists's number within a 20 mile radius. Phone call after phone call drew a blank until a phrmacist in Dundrum was found. She could not possibly have done more to help us. No problem is too much and all are treated with prefessionalism of the highest order. We were so impressed that, insteaad of just checking out and mumbling the usual "Fine" when asked how was our stay, we specifically asked that the manager be informed of the impressive service we had experienced. Will definitely go back.
We were going to the city west for Disney on ice and picked this hotel for our trip away. It was great and the staff were very friendly, room was lovely and warm and it wasn't to far away from the venue. We had a great time. The only thing I would say we were disappointed that the food in the bar stop very early in the hotel its self. We had a young child with us and it didn't suit to go outside over to Joels. We couldn't even get any to our room. Please consider changing this thanks.
Myself, mynhusband and two little girls 4and7 stayed in the Louis Fitzgerald for a night.it was a very positive experience, clean room, hot shower, hot tasty breakfast and friendly staff.we will definately return.
Booked overnight stay which included 2 course meal. Room was clean and very quiet. Staff very friendly and helpful. Great choice in breakfast menu and able to get it delivered to room at 11 am. There was a 2 course meal included in our package however, there wasn't a great selection and we both went for Sirloin Steak which cost additional €7 each. My starter Fish Thai cakes was only warm (waiters seemed very busy so I didn't complain), main course was lovely though. Nice relaxed atmosphere in bar and pleasant guy singing/playing guitar. Overall enjoyed our stay.
We stayed for the weekend in this lovely hotel. It was a very enjoyable experience overall. Staff very kind&helpful, relaxed atmosphere, and with two small children we felt very homely. The room service was very quick( when arrived with hungry children...) and great value; the breakfast was nice, plenty of choices. We didn't have diner in the evening in the restaurant, but I'm sure would have been nice also. We got our loyalty card, so definitely, we'll be back soon to take advantage of it. I will totally recommend it as a nice place to enjoy a weekend break.
Great Hotel. Great Staff. Great price.
very good !!!
great stay..... staff so friendly everything was no hassle, food in Joel's was lovely and great choice, good size portions too!!! Breakfast was plentiful and great choice will be staying here again
Excellent return visit. Friendly, efficient staff. Keep up the good work- we will be back!
Very friendly & helpful staff. Room nice - had to ask for toiletriesas none in the bathroom but these were supplied without delay. Breakfast lovely and no shortage of choice even though it was very busy. Would definately stay again.
great hotel , lovely staff , so so clean . only down fall our room was out the front of hotel and it was hard to sleep but on 2nd night night we had a different room and it was better . will most def stay again .
We stayed at the Louis Fitzgerald during the mid-term break. Nice hotel, location fine if you do not wish to go outside the hotel. The initial receptionist was abrupt but I imagine he was busy!!. We decided to eat in Joels as it was advertised as a child friendly restaurant and looked OK from the outside. Mistake, food was very poor and neither the service nor the restaurant was child friendly except they has an overpriced child menu. No mention of crayons or colouring sheets etc. There was a wedding on in the hotel and the lobby in the hotel was not suitable for kids. Loud music kept them up for a good part of the night. Breakfast was lovely, nice staff, friendly chef and good food. Pity we didn't eat in the hotel the previous evening!. Apart from the first impression at reception, the hotel is fine and I'm sure they have no control over the food quality in Joels!..The hotel gives a €20 food voucher rather than two courses and tea/coffee as part of the lidl deal which is not as advertised.
The hotel was excellent, spotless, food delicious, staff very friendly, couldn't ask for better. Regards Mary Collins
It was a lovely hotel, staff very friendly and having 2 toddlers with me I found the hotel very family friendly, which is hard to find, We ate in the bar on our first night stay and it was fabulous. Rooms were lovely clean and nicely decorated. Only a 10 minute walk from the Luas which was a big bonus. 5/5
We really enjoyed our stay and would definitely stay again! Very close to all amenities and great staff and food. I will be recommending this to all our friends
Hotel and staff were excellent, only issue would be in heat in rooms
Nice hotel, good location for what we needed. Nice restaurant for breakfast, breakfast was good.
I'd give the Louis Fitzgerald a 3 Stars, friendly staff, only a few minutes walk to the Luas, access to the city centre very easy and great value for money.
We had a mixed review of this hotel. The food and the staff were excellent but there was a small number of badly behaved guests allowed to ruin everyone's evening. We went to bed early, which was a first on a night away to avoid a bad situation. I emailed the hotel within a couple of hours of checkout and I am still waiting for a reply or at least an acknowledgement of my email. I would recommend a different Fitzgerald hotel as I feel maybe the location is the problem...
hotel was lovely. Would have preferred a greater selection for 2 course dinner as it was very limited.
Really enjoyed my stay, short and sweet but was absolutely lovely! Bed was super comfortable and even though there was a wedding on we never heard a thing and had a wonderful nights sleep. Rooms were well appointed and we would definitely return for another stay. Staff were also really pleasant and well informed, I needed information on the Luas into the city centre and the lady at reception was so helpful I really appreciated it being from down the country I really didn't have a clue and she couldn't of been nicer! Once again had a lovely stay and look forward to returning sometime.
Great hotel , stayed for one night in family room with partner and child . Room was lovely , nicely decorated and the layout for a family room was excellent. We ate in Joels across from hotel which was lovely . Only downside was breakfast it wasn't nice at all bland and tasteless and cold other than that we really enjoyed our stay.
Lovely clean room, everything seems new. We only stayed one night but would definitely stay there again when we go to Dublin as it is so close to the Red Luas line which will take you straight into town. Very friendly and helpful staff too.
Staff are very helpful and friendly. Room nice, clean, and warm. Breakfast was very tasty and plenty of choice. The highlight was the food in JOELS it was excellent five stars to the chefs, and great value. Would highly recommend the Louis Fitzgerald for your next stop over in dublin. Pat from galway 16/09/2013
Very plesant place to stay and staff were very helpful and attentive
This is a first class hotel Rooms food and staff combine to make our stay perfect Will hope to return very soon to enjoy another break
No complaints at all. Lovely large clean rooms, good food and great service
Very clean, modern and friendly hotel. My wife and I stayed there recently as we were going to a concert in the Olympia in the City Centre. The Luas (Red Cow) is about a 15min walk but as we like our walking that was not a problem for us. We could have a got a taxi if we so desired. We ate that evening in the hotel restaurant and the food and service were top notch. The following morning we had a good lie in and what was really great was that there was very little noise coming from outside. It was very quiet and peaceful even though you are just in off the busy N7. Breakfast was a buffet and again no complaints here. A very nice touch here was the Chef on hand to cook your eggs any way you wanted them. Would definitely stay there again.
Really really impressed
Myself and my wife stayed for two nights, we had a lovely time, the room was big and spacious, the breakfast was lovely and plenty of it. would definitely stay again and would recommend to all. The staff were excellent, my 10 year old grandson was with us at a party one of the nights and he left his psp game console on the table when he left, I inquired at reception next morning and one of the staff found it and handed it up. Thanks again to them.
We are a family of four - 2 Adults and 2 teenagers. We booked an overnight break and had a really enjoyable stay. We booked two rooms as our older lads like a bit of space and privacy. The staff were very friendly. The breakfast was really good and chef was very helpful and accommodating with our fried egg requests! Everything lovely and fresh and plentiful - breakfast room very busy but no problem to staff. We had an evening meal in Joels and this was very enjoyable also. Nice buzz round the hotel and had a lovely stay. Easy access to shopping centres and city centre and enjoyed a great day in Dublin. We would highly recommend Louis Fitzgerald and look forward to a re-visit.
Stayed on the Louis Fitzgerald on 6th April. My husband ,daughter and I stayed for one night, We have stayed here a couple of times before and find it convenient for for the city as it is near the luas and also for going to the RDS as it is a straight drive in along the canal. The beds are really comfy. The room was very hot when we got to it so I turned off the rad straight away and opened the window and it had cooled down by bedtime. I know this is a fault with many hotels and some hotels you cannot open the windows. I cant remember the gentleman's name that checked me out but He was so good at his job and even remembered my name the following morning when I went the check out, I was very impressed. We as a family really like this hotel
Enjoy our stay very much!! Only 3 faults: The two course meal actually only entitled you to €20 of your dinner each, and lets face it you are not going to get a decent starter nd main for €20. The rooms were so warm. There was only a fan in the room, we had the radiators off and the window wide open. I thought it would have air conditioning. We got breakfast in bed, and unfortunately it was stone cold. Other than that it is a nice modern hotel, and the ice machine on each floor is a nice touch
We had a very enoyable stay. From the moment we arrived there was nothing we wanted for. Exactly what you would look for in a hotel.
Room nice clean and warm. The meal thats included is from special basic menu but that is always the case. Loads of underground parking. Missed breakfast as finishes at 10:30
Very good value food great service excellent all staff friendly simoneon reception very helpful and full of info when we were checking in.will definitely be back and would not hesitate t recommend
The staff really make this hotel. Would definitely stay again because of the friendly, helpful staff. Rory & Karen in the bar were so nice and couldn't do enough to make sure we were looked after. Reception staff were also faultless. Great job guys and thanks for a great weekend!
My recent stay at the Louis Fitzgerald hotel was the most rewarding experience ! the comfort of my room was the best , warm and inviting and sparkling clean . The staff are the most polite and friendly people you could wish to meet , and Sebastian in reception the most handsome its a pity im not 25 years younger!! The value at the Louis Fitzgerald would be hard to find anywhere ! the food is excellent first class and to top off my stay the ladies night in Joels was great entertainment i will certainly be back !! regards Celine Quinn
Fantastic value, great food, great hotel would definitely return
The louis fitzgerald hotel is great. We had an amazing stay. The food was lovely, the room was great and we had a very good sleep.Great place to stay if visiting Dublin. Without a doubt what makes this hotel stand out is the staff. Every member of staff is extremely helpful and very pleasant and nothing is too much trouble.I would recommend this hotel and will definitely stay here again.
Four of us stayed in family room. Room was fine; very clean and with all the usual amenities. Asked for 2 single beds at reception on arrival as we were told there was only one in the room booked and there was no problem - receptionist found new room straight away. We have stayed here before and this was up to the usual high standard. Staff were excellent and went the extra mile for the kids. Breakfast was good and again service was very good. Didn't have dinner there so can't comment on what that was like. There's no leisure centre/pool but all in all this is a good hotel to stay in when in Dublin. You'd need a car though as public transport is not great but otherwise I would strongly recommend this hotel. We'll definitely go back.
Stayed at this hotel for the first time recently on a one night dinner and B & B basis. Family room ideal for two adults and up to two kids (one in our case). Comfortable beds and fantastic shower! What struck me most about the hotel was the friendliness of all the staff there, very personable. Received a voucher for 2 course meal in Joels next door which equated to €40 credit on our dinner bill. Food and service both excellent. This hotel is ideal as a base for shopping in Dublin including Dundrum, Liffey Valley and even Blanchardstown/Ikea. Two minutes from M50 by car or ten minutes walk to Luas stop at Red Cow. I would have no hesitation staying here again or recommending the hotel to family and friends. Lidl breaks are also fantastic value for money!!
GREAT VALUE:-) this was my 3rd time staying at the Louis Fitzgearld, it is great value. SUPER Breakfast, cooked infront of you, Staff very friendly, asked the Receptionst to call us a taxi to go to the Red Cow Luas stop and she dropped us down in her own car - now in my opinion THAT IS SERVICES:-) will be staing at the Louis Fitz again soon:-)
This hotel is over rated it is not a 4* more a 2* They do not pay attention to detail. 1. They got the booking wrong ( dinner only for one night I booked on line?) 2. Shower not working properly. 3. Room cold on arrival 4. No shower caps in room 5. Not a double bed but two single mattresses’ pushed together 6. Over charged when I was checking out. John & Sheila I will not stay in this hotel again.
Stayed in the Louis for a weekend at the beginning of October and was very impressed. Staff were really very friendy and more than helpful. Had breakfast in the hotel and it was very good. We also had an evening meal in Joel's next door and it was also very good. We got the Luas into the City from the Red Cow. A taxi from the hotel left us to the station and we walked back from the station - not that far. Rooms were very clean although at first we thought they were dark - not much lighting but we got used to it. Would definitely recommend and would not hesitate in going back.
This was our third time staying in the Louis Fitz. The one thing we found before, was the food was great. Not this time. The staff were fantastic, so friendly, so helpful and over all, naturally just nice people, especially in the bar. But the food was just terrible. The evening meal was not good. We tried to get out of the second night dinner but they couldn't change the deal. We said we would give it another chance but it was the same menu and the same standard. The chicken legs were like reheated and then just soaked in sauce, my main course came with no spuds. Bad for an irish person, probably good for the calorie count. The breakfast was very disappointing. The thought it might have just been the time of the morning I came down but the second morning it was the same. I wouldn't bother again with the fry. As for everything else, the room was perfect. The shower didn't have much power though but the bath made up for it.
Hi, We stayed last week for 3 days, we had fab stay, staff were excellent especially 1 girl on the front desk who was extremely helpful and a credit to the hotel, food was great no issues would definitely stay again
Very friendly staff in the hotel and in Joel's restaurant. We enjoyed our stay and would recommended the hotel for anyone looking for a convenient spot to stay near Dublin and the M50.
lovely room, very spacious and everyone had their own proper bad(no camp beds for the kids)the rooms were very clean and quiet. The security is also good as the key card must be used to operate the lift and stair wells. The breakfast was also good and fresh, cheif was making eggs to oder as you picked out your full irish. The only down side was that there was a bit of trouble downstairs in reception and outside the hotel when my husband returned late that night (about1am)the security where there keeping an eye but not comfortable to come back to.Hopefully just a once off as it was very busy during the day with families celebrating communions. It is the only downside to a very enjoyable over night and very very good value.
I found our stay at the Louis Fitzgerald Hotel quite pleasent. the staff were very friendly and helpful. Joels restaurant is fantastic. the location is great just beside the M50 with easy access to the zoo, liffey valley, dundrum shopping center etc. its well worth a stay.
stayed at this hotel for only one night as i was at a wedding there, i had a pleasent time there, staff were very friendly from the time i checked in, during the meal and at breakfast next morning. had a family room which was nice and spacious, great size bathroom. overall a lovely hotel and would stay there again.
Room was very clean and comfortable, Reception staff were extremely nice and helpful and meal was very good. A great stay overall.
We had a very enjoyable midweek stay here. The family room was spacious and in excellent condition. The beds were very comfortable and the room very clean. We enjoyed the food both in the hotel and in Joel's restaurant (attached). The staff were very courteous. It has all the hallmarks of an owner with a very firm idea of how things are to be done. Loved the Graham Knuttel paintings in the lobby. Highly recommended. Lost one star for damage to the Internet cable - probably by a child.
Stayed here for a night with husband and two kids in family room. Plenty of room for two single and a king in the room. Hotel very nice, decor lovely, shower over the bath has its design faults, as water had to come over a shelf/ledge. Breakfast very nice also. I stayed here before at xmas and lovely atmosphere.
lovely hotel. very clean. family room nice and big. breakfast was lovely. staff very friendly. would definetly stay here again.
Great location . Food excellent. Rooms very clean and spacious. Will definately return.
had 2 night lidl break in louis fitzgerald on 24th feb, brilliant time lovely hotel lovely food staff very helpfull room a bit on small side only complaint
Very nice room. Staff friendly. Breakfast poor, items cold.
my first visit to the Louis Fitzgerald hotel and I must say a very happy experience. Rooms were spacious and extremely comfortable. The breakfast was very tasty and not one of these over heated buffets you get in other hotels. I asked for an omelette and had it asap and was really very tasty. The staff were most helpful and friendly. The only down side was my visit was only for one night. I would definitely recommend this hotel and will be back again in the near future.
I found my stay at the Louis Fitzgerald Hotel to be a pleasant and enjoyable one. On arrival, the staff were friendly and helpful, the surroundings were relaxing and comfortable. In all, the room was of good standard and the meal at Joel's next door to the hotel was thoroughly tasty with an agreeable atmosphere. The following day following a less than tasty breakfast (supposed hot food was quite cold and the coffee not very strong), having checked out and decided to stay on for lunch in the hotel's bar - I am sorry to say I had my whole Louis Fitzgerald Hotel experience was ruined. I ordered a turkey club sandwich for lunch which listed the ingredients on the menu. Unfortunately, not all ingredients were listed and I ended up eating egg mayo which I am allergic too. I found the bar Manager dealth with the situation completely convinced that I was just out for a free lunch, when I asked why the ingredients wasn't listed, I was told I should know what was in a club sandwich. Overall I can't recommend the hotel due to this, whilst I can safely say the accomadation and Joel's food was worth the visit, the bar staff and their lack of understanding for the need to have all ingredients listed has definitely left a bad taste in my mouth.
We recently stayed in this hotel,i would highly recommend it.the staff were fantasic so friendly and helpful.we had a meal as part of our package the restaurant wasnt open until 7pm but when we told the manager we had to go somewhere for 8pm they provided us with our meal at 6pm which great and the food was exceptional .we will definetly return to the louis fitzgerald hotel in the future. Spent an overnight with two friends on Sat Oct 22nd 2011. At €98 per couple for B&B plus dinner it just didn't make sense to get taxis in and out of town. Hotel is very nice, food excellent and staff great. Highly recommended.
very impressed with hotel.bedroom very comfortable.bar food and breakfast very tasty.good ambience in bar.staff friendlly and helpfull
My husband and I went to this hotel for our anniversary. We had a fantastic time. The hotel was brilliant and the staff were very friendly. The room was exceptionally clean with everything that you would need. The breakfast could not have been better and catered for all needs!. The meal included in our deal had limited choice and was okay but we wouldn't let this stop us from returning to this hotel. This was a fantastic deal with Lidl and we will definitely be going to this hotel again with LIDL. Pauline May 11.
We found this hotel very comfortable and welcoming. The staff were very helpful and friendly. The breakfast was excellent, lovely freshly chopped fruit, freshly cooked pancakes and/or eggs available on request. We ate two nights in the bar and found the food and service to be excellent. All in all, our two night break was fantastic value for money.
Our second visit with lidl breaks to this hotel.Another great stay, great value, food was top class as were rooms and bar had great entertainment on Saturday nite.Staff were very friendly and helpfull.Only complaint was that restaurant was fully booked even though we checked in early enough, and this aws the same story on our last visit.Won't stop us returning.
100 per cent
Have to say we had a great stay.Room was lovely and food was great.Staff where very helpfull and bar had good craic for a hotel bar..... Definitly will be back..Once again great value from Lidl..
brilliant stay, great value, food was gorgeous, room was perfect, beds really comfy, bathroom perfect. the hotel is vry modern even has an ice machine on every floor if ur having a drink in your room! bar was lovely ha a great atmosphere! breakfast to de room the next mornin for an extra 10euro. everything was perfect great hotel!! i would recommend to anyone and would definitely stay again!!
Stayed here for the Dinner Bed and breakfast and can highly recommend it. The hotel is lovely and the staff are wonderful. The menu you get to pick from is very good and all really enjoyed what they had to eat. Look foward to staying here again real soon , great value for a nice treat.
The hotel was excellent and the staff were very friendly. Two things were offputting though we ordered coffee a few times and not once did we pay the same price and no explanation when it was queried. the second was being asked for a %u20AC50 deposit when paying the bill in cash on arrival !! Otherwise t was excellent.
We use this hotel on a regular basis and find it fantastic value with excellent food, great service and very convenient. With free underground safe parking for extra days if necessary we will return here again & again. Paddy O'Leary, Cork
We really enjoyed our stay in this hotel. Top marks for service.
The hotel was in a good location to the red cow roundabout, the hotel decor is fab. The room was really well decorated and spacious, however the shower wasn't very powerful! We had a meal in the hotel restaurant and maybe we were really unlucky as there was a wedding but the service was ridiculouly slow. The menu was very limited for dinner. Breakfast was far better service wise. The bar prices were very high; even at dublin standards! e.g. 7 up was %u20AC3.10!
we very much enjoyed our stay (one night) in the louis Fitzgerald hotel newlands cross, family room was vrr spacious and breakfast was perfect, however the lidlbreaks website refers to a two course evning meal, but this was not part of the package, a bit confusing, maybe someone could explain how the meal comes into it???? otherwise excellent value i have booked another for october, but i booked that with the impression there was an evening meal included.
it was the worst hotel i ever stayed in the staff were dog ignorent ,the food was terrible and i was treated like a second class citizen because i was booked in under lidl i was given a voucher to get my meals with it was terrible it was like going to saint vincent de paul for some shelter and food never again will i use either lidl or that hotel
Great hotel (Clean, fresh and modern) and the service is like a 5* hotel. Perfect location if visiting Dublin city and surrounds as there easy access by car to all areas. Breakfast and dinner were excellent, however we found the available choices of main course limiting and not really to our taste, but the food itself could not be faulted
Hotel has a funny location you think your turning into a petrol station construcion of the under ground car park, looked a bit dangerous as had over head cables with live wires and water was running down the walls and was very dangerous check in went smoothly staff were very nice and friendly when we got to our room could not fault it its exaclty as in the photo very modern and was very surprised 8 o clock that evening went for dinner which we had booked as the package with your selves this is where the nightmare begins !! was told there was no seats in the restraunt as we were on the special package had to remain eating beside the bar wasnt to bothered about this as bar was quite at the time but was annoyed as other guests on the off chance were going in to the restraunt without bookings and there was seats available for them. we were teased with the Menu to be honest the menu had the lidle Package menu and stapled to the back of our menu had been the confirmation menu frm a prevous day .which had chicken, steak chips pizza, but the lidle menu had the 5 star ham and pea soup !!! and brusheeta i skipped the starter and my partner opted for the brusheeta ended up being a slice of bread with little cheese on it he left it to one side as wasnt to gone on it for main course choice of lassanga , or irish stew how bad could lassanga be ?? no chips, we got a bowl of veg which was the frozen type which is cold by the time it hits the plate and get this no meat in the lasanga lassanga with cheese cheese and one slice of tomato in between ! put to one side and asked staff could we pay extra for chicken or steak or something else was told we couldnt pay a supplemtn we had to have what was oin the lidle package, dessert was just as bad apple and vanilla ice cream ice cream was nt even a scoop i actually turned the plate on to its side and still couldnt fill a tea spoon not a table spoon at that my teas
Stayed here for a weekend in June , couldn't but recommend it . The staff were extreemly helpful and friendly . I've stayed in a lot of hotels arund the world being a travel agent but the staff here were exceptional from Biola on reception to Dave in the bar ,the general manager all were wonderful . The rooms were lovely and clean . Had a meal in the hotel hotel and Joels restaurant and couldn't find fault with any of them . All in all a great weekend .
