Very friendly staff, very helpful and polite, rooms were basic but very clean and comfortable, bar was very busy and loud but to be expected for NYE, Breakfast was lovely lots of choice and again great service

Amac scored 3 / 5 on 12/09/2017

I booked two nights with breakfast and dinner both mornings and evenings. on the up side the hotel is nice, clean, comfortable beds, big rooms and great staff. the reason for the 3 star rating is, on the first night we checked in late after a long days traveling to be told the main restaurant was closed but the bar food was still served until half 10, at 10.10 we arrived down and got a table shortly after our drinks order was taken and delivered and the food oder was placed, at 10.40 we were told the chef had went home early despite the order in 10 mins before last orders. there was nothing that could be done regarding dinner however as we had children they had to settle for soggy roomservice microwave pizzas, which were disgusting. there is no swimming pool, guests are charged 10euro per night for parking given the above i dont see how the hotel is rated 4star

Siobhan scored 4 / 5 on 30/06/2017

Lovely hotel .Stayed in new part but would prefer older part, more noise and a bit eerie walking through the cafe area at night. Not happy that parking charge has been introduced either

George scored 3 / 5 on 01/05/2017

I thought charging guests for the car park was a bit excessive especially when you are staying in the hotel.

Aidan scored 4 / 5 on 28/04/2017

Nice hotel, good breakfast a bit far out though.

Pjb scored 3 / 5 on 12/03/2017

Firstly the good - Excellent staff, rooms, service and location for Luas. Couldn't fault any of those. Stayed in the new extension and it was beautiful. Now the bad - €8 per night for parking. Stayed last year and it was free so this came as a shock. Also €5 charged for a scoop of mashed potatoes instead of chips. Finally, I contacted the hotel a few days in advance to see if any band was playing in the hotel during the stay. We were told a band called Rufus would be in the main lounge; no band. Overall I would say the hotel is a lovely place to stay with customer focused staff but the €21 additional charges for a resident would make me think twice about returning. The new extension will be payed off in no time with these add-ons!

I'm not very good at writing reviews but just wanted to say I booked red cow hotel through bargain breaks for one night on 25th of February 2017.booking was easy and quick and the hotel it's self was fab they had everything I needed and staff couldn't have been nicer or more helpful.would recommend this hotel and bargain breaks to everyone

Elizabeth scored 4 / 5 on 08/03/2017

Lovely hotel .We were in new rooms very comfortable. Staff very friendly and helpful. Luas runs nearby. Lots of intertainment nearby food served til late

Ursula scored 4 / 5 on 08/03/2017

Fantastic hotel. Lovely rooms. Lovely staff. Rooms appeared almost sound proof. 5 mins walk from luas. Only negative bar food only mediocre, but was very busy Saturday evening. Will definitely be back.

Mob scored 5 / 5 on 07/03/2017

Lovely hotel newly refurbished. Staff very courteous. Check in a little slow but that said we were well looked after. Restaurant was excellent and both dinner and breakfast were tasty and well cooked. Only drawback was that guests had to pay for parking. I felt this unfair as we stayed overnight had dinner and even had a guest to dinner. This unfair charge should be withdrawn

Richard scored 4 / 5 on 07/03/2017

excellent hotel would recommend it to anyone really comfortable stay and breakfast top class and staff brilliant what more can I say. 5 ##### ,,

Declan scored 5 / 5 on 07/03/2017

Wonderful Hotel Wonderful rooms Wonderful service Wonderful food Will be back However parking charges a bit of a nussiance Dont wish to be too critical of staff behind checkin/out desk as they were very polite and hard working but checkin was painfully slow.....

Margaret scored 4 / 5 on 07/03/2017

Lovely hotel, but think its a bit much to have to pay for parking when you are a guest.

Rita scored 4 / 5 on 06/03/2017

This was my 2nd visit in three months. The hotel, food and staff were all great just as they were on my previous visit. I have dropped a star for this review as I was very disappointed that since my last visit parking charges had been introduced. It was not so much the cost but the lack of information around it. On arrival I was neither asked if I had parked a car or advised that even residents would have to pay. On departure I handed in my parking ticket thinking that it would be validated free of charge. The receptionist handed it back to me and said I had to pay it at the machine in the lobby. She then went on to say had I given it to her at check in that I would have received a concession. Any hotel that I have stayed in tickets were validated on check out, this was all new to me. It was disappointing that the concession was not given to me seeing that it is a new process. Other people were also surprised by this.

Julie scored 5 / 5 on 06/03/2017

Absolutely gorgeous hotel. Excellent hotel close to the Dart stop for ease of travel into Dublin. The hotel is beautifully decorated and clean and bright. Our room had everything we needed including good coffee - a must in my eyes. Breakfast was amazing - everything from health shots to a full Irish fry was available - all made with delicious high quality ingredients. I can't wait to visit again in the not so distant future.

Tinge scored 5 / 5 on 06/03/2017

Great location, nice clean room, great breakfast. Friendly staff. Stayed here night before our trip to Zoo.. so ideal..we got a family room. Be aware there is a parking charge of €10 per night which you can get at a discounted rate of €8 per night, if staying in the hotel which we were not informed of on checkin, so the lady on reception the next day couldn't give us the discounted rate as you are supposed to mention on check in that you have a car!!!!! We were not asked by the gentleman on checkin??!! Apart from that I would recommend. ps we didn't have dinner in restaurant but it looks fab.

Jp scored 4 / 5 on 06/03/2017

Room on the West Wing was fantastic. Breakfast was well laid out and plenty of choice available. Not a fan of Charged Car Parking in a hotel environment.

Joebloggs scored 4 / 5 on 15/02/2017

A lovely hotel. The bar food was nice and the breakfast was a big hit with the kids. They loved the pancakes. Our room was spacious, clean and very comfortable. The only negative thing I have to say is that the evening bar staff were extremely poor. they had no system for taking orders and were incredibly slow at getting drinks ready. All in all we had a lovely stay.

Bridget scored 4 / 5 on 14/02/2017

Enjoyed our stay again at this hotel, family room nice and big, bar food was good but I would have liked a bit more choice on the menu. Breakfast itself was very good but the self service areas could be improved there was a lot of congestion around the tea/coffee area which is located beside the entrance to the seating area. Overall our stay was lovely and we'll be back.

Stayed here just after Christmas. Overall very pleased with the value this hotel offered, used it as a base for doing activities in town and on the outskirts of the city. Luas stop very near but didnt use its as not a fan of the red line at night but would have saved trying to find parking in the city so would consider it next time. Bar food was just OK, nothing amazing. Would have preferred to eat in the restaurant but they were only offering a three or four course set menu which I wasn't hungry enough for. Breakfast was fine also (except the pudding which I should have complained about at the time as it was horrible). Adequate selection of hot and cold food. Rooms spacious and very clean, bathroom very big. Location of this hotel as a base is excellent and overall for the price we paid it was a bargain and would stay there again no problem. Dundrum shopping centre just 10 mins away, City West Conference Centre less than that, city centre 15 mins by car. Not for you if you want to lounge around the hotel but for a city break (with transport) its perfect.

Rita scored 4 / 5 on 19/12/2016

Aisling scored 5 / 5 on 06/12/2016

Really enjoyed our stay. We were upgraded to a new room and it was fantastic. We had food and drinks in the bar and the atmosphere was cosy and warm. The food was amazing. Will look forward to going back when they open their new restaurant.

Kathleen scored 1 / 5 on 15/11/2016

I have stayed in Red Caw a lot of time and each time was delighted with my stay. on Saturday night I stayed and was put in the new part of the hotel The room was lovely but my disappointment when I saw the state the windows were in and building scaffolding right up against the window Dried cement stuck on the window you could not even see out If I had being told this on checking in but noting was said to me We also ordered room service for breakfast and this was very cold when it arrived Very disappointed with my stay K

Trish scored 3 / 5 on 14/11/2016

We booked two rooms on Friday 11th November to attend a concert in the 3 Arena. We found the hotel room and breakfast very good. Staff at reception very helpful. However we were unaware that the hotel is undergoing major works and we were woken on Saturday morning at 7.40 by kango hammers and drills. WAY to early in our opinion. Lidl breaks do not inform you of this at booking. Our rooms were 333 and 335 right next to the construction.

T scored 5 / 5 on 24/10/2016

From check in to check out everything was perfect. Friendly staff, lovely rooms with really comfy beds and will be even better when renovations are finished.

Linda scored 3 / 5 on 17/10/2016

Food not grt .poor service. Room was lovely but had to much noise next door to me didn't get to sleep till after 5 in morning had to call to reception to send someone up to tell them keep noise down .

place is a construction site but room was lovely, breakfast plentiful.

Aimz scored 4 / 5 on 01/09/2016

Very clean and spacious family room. Only fault was that there should be a limit on window openings or latch that does not allow children to open window. Breakfast was lovely and tasty and arrived hot to the table.

Keith scored 2 / 5 on 21/08/2016

Staff friendly, rooms clean and well serviced but the restaurant was a disappointment. Dinner was not good. there were flies in the restaurant, streak was not very good, couldn't even finish it and the curry was stew. Food order were astray. We were there at the start of service and options on menu were not available. Breakfast was fine. There was a make your own tiny pancakes machine which the kids enjoyed and they said the pancakes tasted nice. Overall fine but do not think we would be booking again.

First time staying in the Red Cow Hotel for our annual trip to the zoo. There were 2 families booking in and the hotel put our rooms side by side as requested and were an absolute pleasure to speak to before our arrival. The hotel is just beautiful, extremely friendly staff on reception, in the bar and especially in the restaurant. We were very well looked after at all times. Both dinner and breakfast was absolutely superb, and the rooms were very nice, and more spacious than any other family rooms we have stayed in, in the past. We did not want to leave the next day, and all 8 of us cannot wait to return again!!

Siobhan scored 3 / 5 on 04/07/2016

Very disappointed with my stay. Was kept awake most of the night with noise from the room next door and was then awoken at 7am on Saturday morning with building noises from the new extension currently being built therefore was totally exhausted the following day. Breakfast was very disappointing also it was basically reheated. The bacon was like leather and the eggs were rock hard. On another note the room was beautiful. I expressed my issues at checkout but was just met with an apology and nothing else.

Tom scored 5 / 5 on 01/06/2016

Plee scored 5 / 5 on 23/05/2016

All round great value and a great stay - albeit too short. Had to travel to Dublin with my daughter for an event in Dublin Castle on Saturday morning and travelling from the top of Ireland decided to go on Friday and stay overnight. Lidl breaks are my go to for family breaks and didn't disappoint with the Red Cow Hotel suggestion. Great parking, really warm welcome on arrival, AB FAB bedroom and perfect breakfast. A real home from home with a straight run into the city centre in the morning. We'll be back.

Geo scored 5 / 5 on 18/05/2016

Really enjoyed our one night stay. Room was spotless and comfortable. Air conditioning was on when we arrived so room was nice and cool. Staff very friendly and helpful. Beautiful breakfast. Even though there is a building site right outside there was no noise until after breakfast. Second time staying and would definitely stay again.

Group of 4 adults and 4 children. Stayed for 1 night in apri 2016. Cannot fault anything! Spacious, clean family rooms, free parking, child-friendly staff and a good breakfast. Amazing value for the price ! Very convenient location for the M50 and the luas. The kids had fun making pancakes for breakfast and wanted to stay another night !

D scored 4 / 5 on 07/04/2016

A great surprise, my image of this hotel was not great prior to my visit, but I was mistaken, lovely rooms, that have been recently refurbished, and breakfast was great with a wide variety to suit all. The only thing that left the hotel down was no cups for tea and coffee during registration while attending a conference, when they were finally got after asking several members of staff the Tea and Coffee ran out, while on our scheduled break, no tea and coffee was available and people had to wait 10 minutes for staff to bring it, all in all a great hotel to stay in but not so sure about it being an event/conference location.

Paddy scored 5 / 5 on 14/03/2016

We had been traveling for a few days in the UK and were tired and cranky on arrival. Our room was magnificent with great attention to detail. Breakfast was a heartwarming experience, the food, the choices, kindness and excellent service from the highly trained and experienced staff. It's now firmly at the top of our list for hotels in Dublin. It was perfect in every respect and is a credit to all concerned.

There were no issues with noise. We were leaving before breakfast as the ferry is at 8am but the receptionist insisted we get breakfast to our room at 6.25am!! Cereal, toast, juice and tea delivered, a great start to the day and very much appreciated by all!!

Excellent hotel. Very convenient to get to city centre. Luas about 10 minutes walk with kids and cost 4.8 return per adult and think 1.90 per child. Staff very helpful and friendly. Food during the day from bar was only ok. Roast beef very tought and fatty for a 5 star hotel was very basic bar food. Breakfast on the other hand was lovely. Good choice. Something to suit everyone. Even pancakes for the kiddies. Lovely room and bonus of free ample car parking. Would definitely stay again and would definitely recommend.

Stayed here Friday night of the May weekend for Dinner B&B The staff member at reception (Ana I think) was excellent Friendly efficient informative and pleasant all round The room was good, clean but with a lack of cosmetics Just soap and hand cream over the hand sink Nothing else Dinner in the restaurant was very good Good choices available and the food was tasty & well presented with again friendly efficient staff We had our son with us for dinner and Ana at reception organised a dinner deal to suit us Breakfast the following morning was also good with a great choice to suit everyone Stayed again Sunday night and was met again by great staff Our room was clean but with extra body wash fitted over the bath/shower The only fault was that the hair dryer kept on cutting out when it heated up We went across to the Red Cow Bar for a drink and this was the only time we met a surly member of staff Overall a very good experience and will return

I stayed in this hotel Good Friday with Lidl Breaks. I rang the hotel earlier in the week to book dinner and I was left on hold. When the lady returned to the phone she had clearly forgotten to come back to me and left me on hold for some time. I was a little disappointed to find the restaurant was going to be closed but the bar was serving food. On check in I paid on arrival and got my voucher to hand in at the bar when I was having dinner. the reception area is very nice and I was quite pleased with the room at first site. We went downstairs to order dinner. The bar is comfy and stylish and I can't fault the service. The voucher, as far as I was understood covered two two course dinners. I had spring rolls and chicken curry, my partner had chicken wings and cod and chips. We also ordered drinks. The food was only okay. I have had nicer pub grub so definitely not four star material. When I went to pay for the drinks as we were leaving I was told that the voucher only covered dinner to the value of 30 euro and that I still owed a further 9.60 for my dinner. I would like to point out that again, it was not steak or beef or lamb but chicken and fish.I didn't say anything to the bar woman as she is merely the messenger. We went to our room and found that the other door in the room was separating us from another room and we could hear everything. To be fair, they didn't stay up late but we could also hear everything the next morning so the room was not very sound proof. The next morning we went down for breakfast. Again it was only ok. I asked for poached eggs on toast and it was a tiny square of toast with the two eggs. The area where the buffet was was messy however the service was good. I certainly didn't come away full. I heard a couple behind me arguing with a waitress that they thought their room covered breakfast and it's very expensive if not included. On check out I brought my complaint to the receptionist who said that it was probably their fault as the details of what the voucher covers is listed on the menus in the restaurant but not in the bar. However she would pass on my concerns. I explained I had used lidl breaks before and the voucher did not have a limit unless there was a supplement charge for steak or even beef, not chicken or fish and chips. I was very annoyed, not about having to pay the money but that this was specified now where. Of course you wouldn't get two two course dinners for 30 euro in a( so called) four star hotel so either raise the deal price or change the voucher. While we enjoyed our evening I wouldn't be rushing back. Not four star, only okay...

Hi just stayed one night there was 7 of us ,There was a mix up on checkin but the lady on reception was very nice and sorted it out in about 10 mins.Rooms were lovely we had 3 beds nice bathroom . went down for dinner ,dinner was ok desert was not nice ,so we asked for tea( witch was included ) we were told it would be 3.50 each so 5 of us dident have any tea, a bit disappointing when it said on the voucher 2 course meal and tea or coffee.

Room was fine. kids had to sleep on a sofa bed which was practically collapsing in the middle so luckily we had brought along our air bed just in case we needed the extra space. that was a bit dissappointing. Breakfast was of good standard, nothing special but with a novely of a pancake maker which the kids thought was great. Food in the bar was good. No complaints really apart from the sofa bed. Staff throughout were pleasant and helpful and a particular shout out to the very nice and friendly lady in the breakfast room ,I think she was the supervisor.

rooms were lovely and family room was exceptionally spacious, breakfast was also very pleasant. Receptionist was quite rude and aburt on check in and also called my mobile at 9pm to see how we hadn't checked in yet ( which i thought was odd) That night about 3am there was awful racket coming from outside fighting and people after a night out. i had 2 kids aged 4 and 6 who were woken by this i rang reception to complain twice but it was still ongoing by 5.30am. on check out i made a further complain about the noise spoke with a manager who was very nice but only offered a apology. we had spent the day in temple st childrens hospital after travelling from co. kerry and desperately needed a good nights rest to face our journey home we were disappointed with our stay and also how our complain was delt with. Apart from the male manager i met every other staff member was cold, unfriendly and unpleasant

The Red Cow Inn was located conveniently for my stay in Dublin. The room was very comfortable and as I was located at the back of the hotel I was not disturbed by traffic and had a great nights sleep. I dined in the bar and found the food and service good, there was a good choice on the menu and prices were reasonable. The atmosphere in the bar was quiet nice also. Breakfast the next morning was also very nice with a good choice. Staff were friendly and helpful. Would recommend this hotel and will be back myself.

Great location with easy access. Check in & out was quick, friendly & efficient. Room was comfortable & clean & of standard size. Getting the water hot in the shower was a bit difficult though! We ate in the Winter Garden Restaurant but this sadly was not a good experience. The food was overall dreadful. The starters were passable but the mains were awful. Steaks were chewy, Chips weren't fully cooked & the Monkfish was like rubber. We didn't do the desserts but did try the coffee which was equally awful! We didn't complain as we were on a 1 night cheap get away package & the Breakfast was really good & Staff overall were great. Would recommend the bar for lunch. Have eaten there a few times over the past few months & always good & service is quick & friendly.

My friends and I stayed here last weekend. The staff, the rooms, the food and the serices were all excellent. This is ideal for shopping in Dublin or for attending concerts. It was great to park in the Red Cow and get the luas into town and returned again on the luas. Had a lovely meal and relaxed in the very comfortable bar in the hotel for the evening. Would highly reccomend this hotel and we will be returning again very soon. There is also some beautiful jewelary for sale in the reception area.

Lovely hotel, staff very friendly and helpful, food fresh and crisp. Only downside was the Luas stop is a bracing 10 minutes plus walk away (their website said 4 mins), we were lucky that the weather was dry but convenience to the Luas was a deciding factor in staying there. Also a twinkling full size Christmas tree when I came down for breakfast on November 7th seemed premature, but maybe that is just me!

Our stay at the Red Cow was very pleasant indeed. The room was very comfortable and spacious. The dinner in the restaurant was excellent with a very good service and so was the breakfast in the morning. The location of the hotel is perfect as the Luas is at about 5minutes walk from it. Would stay there again.

Red cow is a lovely hotel close to the Luas tram which brings you quickly to the city centre. Had breakfast - not the usual precooked buffet but an actual menu where you can order as you like it. Could do with more bread and cheese choices. The bar staff are friendly and chatty (but not too much!) I got peckish about 9pm and went to the bar for a sandwich and one of the staff very kindly carried it to my room for me - great service!

Would recommend it to anyone coming to dublin

Stayed here for 2 nights midweek for the Michael Buble Concert, its in a brilliant location on the Red Luas line which takes you straight to the O2 and depending on the finishing time of the concert, takes you back. The hotel itself is lovely, bar food was simple and tasty, room was spacious and breakfast was tasty, wouldnt hesitate to stay here again.

We had a lovely stay at the Red Cow Hotel. While we had stopped many times on our travels to eat, it was our first time staying. The most impressive aspect was the staff who were ALL so friendly and helpful! The staff at reception were a credit to the business as they were so professional, courtious, helpful and visibly present at all times with a smile despite being so busy. Equally the restaurant staff are fantastic. The food is great, the place is spotless and the service so efficient and the price was great thank's to Lidl Breaks. The room was spotless but quiet too, despite being near the Luas and main road. They even have an ATM. I love the little garden at the rere which could be developed more but one can see it is being maintained. All and all we had a great break and would certainly recommend it for all the above reasons plus it's accessibility to town, south, northern routes etc. Many Thanks. Liam & Marie

We found the Groupscheme deal to be excellent value. My husband and I chose the b/b and evening meal option for €49 per person sharing. Our room was very comfortable with plenty of toiletries, tea, coffee and milk. The evening meal was delicious and the restaurant had a very nice atmosphere and waiting staff very friendly and efficient. Breakfast the following morning again was top quality and it is very nice to be served your breakfast instead of having to serve yourself buffet style especially if you wish to have a little bit of pampering. The thing that did not earn the fifth star for me was the delay in clearing tables for breakfast gusts who were arriving but it is a very small item. Overall it was a very enjoyable stay. I have no problem recommending the Red Cow Hotel and will be going back again. :)

We were travelling to Dublin for a girlie weekend so we booked a "Dinner, bed & breakfast" break and i have to say, the value for money was excellent. When we checked in the receptionist seemed confused when we said dinner was included but luckily we had our print out confirmation. There was no problem, we booked dinner and she gave us a voucher to take to the restaurant. We didnt know what would be included on the menu, especially when you've a voucher, you'd imagine you'd have a restricted menu but no, we had a choice of starter, main course & desert with the usual supplements applying for things like lamb, steak, etc. This didnt bother us as we didnt want any of those things. The dinner was fabulous and the waiting staff were lovely, very friendly and helpful. The room was spacious, clean and had everything we needed for a night away. Shower was lovely too, good and strong - needed for the next morning! We had asked for a non smoking room which we got but the next morning in the bathroom there was a smell of cigarettes, I'm guessing from the vent of the bathroom on the floor above us. Also, when we were going to sleep the nightclub started up, thankfully we're not light sleepers, we just turned on the music channel on the tv and went off to sleep. People with kids would possibly want to ask for a room away from the nightclub side of the hotel. Breakfast was lovely, even if it was different than what was on the menu, few plates coming out looked to have different selections on them but it was very nice and plenty of it. Would definitely recommend this hotel to friends and would stay again. Proximity to luas was brilliant, plus free hotel carpark!!

Stayed here recently as a party of 5 - ranging in ages from 5 to 74 years. We were very satisfied with our rooms, which were spacious and clean. We ate in the bar on the night of our arrival and thought the food was good and reasonably priced. There was an Elvis convention on in the hotel and there was a great buzz around the place. Our breakfast the next morning was very nice - served hot to the table. We found the staff in this hotel very friendly and helpful. As we visited ikea and dundrum shopping centre, the hotel was in an ideal location. We travelled into the city centre on the luas - however, the walk to the nearest stop may not suit everyone! We will definitely stay here again.

Stayed at Red Cow through Lidl breaks on 19/20th April.(best rate I could find) Booked double room, got excellent value for Bed and Breakfast deal. Never stayed here before. Its nice and clean and showers were great (good pressure) Breakfast was also quite satisfying. Was a bit nervous as not used to using Luas etc. It is a 10 to 15 minute walk from the Red Cow to the Luas but beats sitting in all that traffic. Also ate in the Red Cow Inn on left as you drive into hotel location, and dinner was very nice. Staff lovely in there too. Only downfall was noise from corridor late at night (we were second floor) Would stay there again.

Stayed in the hotel on Saturday 23rd March , Found the hotel staff to be very rude and ignorant. They told us they did not have the time to print the receipt as it takes too long. upon check out , we discovered that our car along with nine other cars were smashed up on the private grounds of the hotel. Hotel staff did not seem phased about this, as the gardai told us it was a regular occurance. They were not helpful and did not even apologise for the inconvience that was caused. Would never recommend this hotel to anyone and will not stay again.

We got to the Red Cow Hotel and we were very warmly welcomed by the two girls at the reception desk. They were very helpful, very nice and friendly. The room was gorgeous and loved how you could adjust the heat to how you liked it. Dinner at the hotel was a big dissapointment. I got the chicken curry and I found the chicken was burned and it was like eating coal. I left over half the curry and ate only the rice and chips. My boyfriend got the beef burger which was burned too, he also only ate the chips. The atmosphere in the bar, however, was good. The next morning we went for breakfast, which was also disappointing. The hostess was very rude when we arived and made us feel like we didnt belong, we felt, because of our ages (me being 21 my boyfriend 22). She just grunted and snapped at us, while she was very accomodating and polite to the older couple ahead of us. We waited for 20 mins for our order to be taken, even though the waiting staff were coming in and out taking other peoples orders. We tried to give our order to the hostess as she passed, and we were told very rudely to "just hold on" while she walked away, and didnt come back. Eventually we ordered and which was wrong which had to be sent back. The portion sizes were small and we didnt find it very appetising and left as hungry as when we went in! While leaving the girls on reception were again very nice, chatty and accommodating. If it wasn't for the girls on reception and the nice room, we would have left the Red Cow very disappointed.

Registration and check in was very quick and the staff member was able to give me some options for dinner even recomending next door pub steak house. When I got into my room there a notice about the hotel which were offering a special offer deal to include a pint of beer at a very good price. This made up my mind so we went down to bar and ordered deal. I had the homemade beef burger with very large home made chunky chips which was dellious while my wife had the chicken burger and she was delighted with it as a chicken fillet was served not processed chicken. The bed was very confortable and loved the idea of been able to control how hot or cold you can have the room through the air con in room. Breakfast was small but nice. We attended an event at the O2 so the Luas was perfect to get us there. We also ate in the bar the food was very good and very reasonable. If I had to be critical I would say more towels are needed in the rooms and also we found it difficult to get to it but both of these issues are fixable as since we have been there once we wouldn't have that problem again and also we would just ask for more towels on arrival. Overall we were very happy with our stay and would definitely stay there again.

We recently stayed at the Red Cow Hotel with a LIDL break and greatly enjoyed our time there. The hotel itself is lovely and the staff were very helpful. It was great to have the nearby Steakhouse to go to as an alternative and again the staff there were brilliant. Only one complaint, there was a very rowdy crowd in the room right next to us on one of the nights and this resulted in very little sleep for us. The staff eventually intervened and all was quiet again around 6am. I would advise people who are looking for a restful break to request a room in a quiet part of the Hotel. We will be back to the Red Cow again and we look forward to booking through LIDL breaks.

beautiful hotel, had booked a triple room and had a single bed each which most hotels wouldnt offer!, very spacious room however very warm and could not turn down thermostat, our offer inclu dinner and breakfast both were very nice, excellent breakfast selection although i was told i would have to pay extra for hot chocolate..had never been asked to do this before, my friend was hungry at 2am and was provided with a freshly made sandwich in our room with no cost for room service which was excellent, great staff also, would stay again

Hi - stayed in the Red Cow on 21 Jan 2012 and had a fantastic time . Bar and reception area was very cosy . Had a meal in the winter Garden which was 4 star quality , only downfall was we rang reception to book the reservation and they said we didnt need 1 and when we arrived in the restaurant the waiter was very grumpy cause we didnt have a reservation so def need to communicate between staff . Bedrooms were clean and spacious , Would def return . A . Tipperary

I booked the Redcow through lidlbreaks.ie and i found the whole process painless. It was the best rate and the hotel was great. I had stayed before and they never disappoint. I will certainly use this website again.

Service and amenities were good, except that we had requested a non-smoking room but were given a smoking room on first night because they were full. Understandable, except that we were left to find this out for ourselves when we got into the room. Location is good if one is coming by car, but not good to walk out of the hotel, which is surrounded by motorway and industry.

Hi, we had a brilliant weekend stay, only problem was with the heat of the room, we always use a blanket and take off the duvet, but the blanket was too small for the size of the bed. Otherwise it was very comfortable and the staff were so helpful and friendly, especially when we booked out and you held our luggage till late afternoon. The bar food and breakfast was very generous and good value all around. Thank you so much and we will definitely return.

Terry scored 5 / 5 on 12/06/2011

The hotel was very nice, room was spacious and clean, electric sockets in our room not working, desk staff ok however did not supply us with food voucher for restaurant therefore had embarrassing incident in evening when we went for our dinner. we stayed on a Thursday night restaurant was under staffed only 2 working and approx 30 people to be served took 2 hours to get a 2 course meal, food was ok but there was a poor choice available. overall the hotel itself was comfortable, location was good as easy access to luas however hotel more a stop off point for business people as there appeared to be business meetings going on in every corner of it. Would I stay there again? possible but only through a Lidl booking.

excellent location and staff were very friendly. Overnighted in hotel as was going to the Aviva for the Europa final and just had to park the car and hop on the Luas which was only a short walk from the hotel. Worked out very well as the date also coincided with the queen's visit and there were alot of restrictions on taking a car around the city so public transport was the way to go. Would stay at hotel again and Lidl break was great value

To be perfectly honest i have had quite a number of Lidl hotel breaks and they represent exceptional value for money [much needed in this current climate]...As for Morans hotel ...fabulous size room ....beautiful reception area to relax....The meal was faultless...Fantastic breakfast...I would also like to add that the cocktail bar/lounge is one of the most tastefully decorated bars you will ever find...Pure Class.... To Lidl and Morans Hotel....well done and keep up the good work.....Derek.....

We stayed in The red cow on Wednesday 9th March 2011, as we were going into the o2 for a concert. At reception we were very pleased with the service & how they accomodated us on having bar food instead of the restaurant meal, as we had to leave the hotel befor 6pm. The rooms were bright, airy & clean. Overall we were very pleased with the service. The only downside was that the service in the bar was very slow, when our meal finally came it was cold & we had to ask staff to put it in the microwave. we also had to wait a further 30 mins for our desert after the plates were taken, even though we ordered desert at the same time as our main. But overall it was well worth the price, it was great value. Lyndsey, Tipperary

Karen scored 5 / 5 on 09/03/2011

it was lovely ideally suited for going to town on the luas, its a bit tricky to get to from the south as the turn off the dual carraigeway needs to be sign posted better as it can be misinterpreted as that you are to take the first left not the second left after the sign!! which I did & it is a mess to get back on to the dual carraigeway, the foregin staff were lovely and very knowledgable about dublin, directions and things to see, the irish staff were lovely but hadnt a clue how to get to any of the main tourist sites in DUblin, amazingly!!!!!, rooms for family 2ad 2 ch was perfect in size the sofa bed however is only suitable for a small child as it is very hard and squashed, rooms & hotel very clean, breakfast was very high standard and delicious great service, drinks very expensive in the bar but food was of high sandard reasonabler priced and good service, overall very good value and will definately go back!! ka in Tipp

The location of this hotel for those travelling from cork as we did was ideal, the food in the hotel is very good - i did fee the drinks on the other hand were very expensive. The family rooms had 1 king size bed , 1 single bed and 1 bed settee that could easily accomodate 2 children, very clean and well equiped ! The Luas station is near enough to walk to and is the most convenient way to get around ! All in all I would definately recommend this hotel ! top marks

We had a very pleasent stay at the Red Cow Moran Hotel. The staff were very friendly. The room which was a family room was of a very high standard and the morning breakfast which was included in the price was well presented. Overall we were very happy with our weekend stay at the Red Cow Moran Hotel.

Margaret scored 3 / 5 on 22/11/2010

Our room was perfect apart from some hair which we found when we pulled back our duvet which was very offputting, I must say. The Hotel is very convenient for Dublin city. We were able to park our car and take the Luas to "The Square" the first evening and into the city the next morning. The receptionist was very friendly and very helpful which makes it good as we were looking forward to the stay away. Any other staff we came in contact with were very plesent - thank you for that.

Lovley hotel and lovely dinner. Alot of confusion we booked 3 rooms altogether and they only had 2 on record under our name then they charged us the full 98 euro the full amount although we paid 12 euro deposit on each room.

i stayed here a couple of months ago with my boyfriend and our 3 year old daughter, we really enjoyed our stay. the hotel was lovely and welcoming with a big open fire in the bar with big soft leather couches to relax in the evening with a few drinks. The information we were given when booking our stay said we'd only get a 2 course meal included but we actually got a 3 course meal for free and it was delicious. i have to say it was one of the nicest meals we have ever got...defintely try the pasta carbonara if your staying here. breakfast was also delicious in the morning. all in all we had a great time and would definately stay here again next time we'r in dublin
