Absolutely loved my stay, the staff were lovely, the room was absolutely fantastic and the food/service was excellent.

Mick scored 3 / 5 on 24/07/2015

Staff very nice, there was a bad smell in the breakfast room like the floor was washed with dirty mop not good, hotel looking little bit worn but seem to be doing work on it when we were there, wifi good and strong YouTube no problem for the younger ones, pool great steam rooms temperature low 1 not working but very clean pool and spa changing rooms gyms kids play room spotless great bar and food good I feel its struggling to make 4* but very good 3*

Jk scored 3 / 5 on 16/07/2015

Nice hotel. Pleasant and helpful staff andf well done to them. Booked an executive room and it was spacious and well appointed. TV was small for the room size and no children's channels free, all music via TV is an expensive pay per view offering. As others have mentioned the bath towels could be increased in size and number. The breakfast hot food is served (effectively boiled ) in hot plate self service fashion, leaving the bacon, sausages etc. most bland and unappetising. I saw many people check it and leave it alone. So for management a few pointers for improvement. All in all it was a good location for two nights.

Caroline scored 3 / 5 on 19/01/2015

the staff were very welcoming and helpful. I has a head massage which i was looking forward to, but it was rushed and I was dissappointed, The bar food was very nice our room was bright and spacious but window view awkful the hotel needs some work done to it, as parts of it were very grubby ie breakfast area with some work done to it im sure it would make a very good four star hotel or even five star

Mary scored 5 / 5 on 03/08/2014

The staff were very helpful and attentive in providing us with directions to various locations in the area. The room was very clean and spacious and the bar food and breakfast was very good. I would highly recommend this hotel.

Fiona scored 4 / 5 on 20/07/2014

lovely room, roll top bath. dinner very reasonable and very good. could do with some extra staff in bar and at breakfast. Would stay again and for longer.

Madeline scored 3 / 5 on 09/07/2014

For a four star hotel I was expecting more...they actually didnt have my booking when I arrived but luckly had rooms available. I did get a suite, the best part of which was the fabulous bathroom. The bedroom was ok but the lounge area of the suite had chips out of the furniture, a battered blind on the window and was generally tired looking as was the rest of the hotel. In its day it was probably gorgeous but it is in need of redecorating and some tlc...the woodwork and carpets in the bar area were grubby and in need of a good cleaning. The staff were friendly and the bar food was good but I would not stay there again.

Do scored 5 / 5 on 05/07/2014

The room was lovely even though the view was a car park. Everything you could need was provided in the room including complimentary Ballygowan. The bathroom was lovely and plenty of space. The spa was good and relaxing as I was there without the children and pool was full of noisy kids earlier in the day so I would advise those getting a break from kids to go the pool after 6pm. There was lots of facilities for families with kids. The hotel is very big and a maze to find your room which we found funny after a few drinks. It is very close to the town and worth the stroll. The breakfast was good and they serve until 11am which allowed a leisurely start. All in all very good value, staff friendly, relaxing break and would stay again.

I was incredibly impressed by the professionalism of the staff, they were both warm and friendly in person and over the phone. The room was bright, clean, spacious and modern with ambient lightening. The food in the bar was very nice and the service was quick and friendly. Great choice for breakfast with both hot and cold food, we really could not have asked for more. Great stay and well worth the price - I would stay again without hesitation! :) *****

Great hotel at a great price too. We stayed for one night with an evening meal and breakfast included. Staff were very welcoming and attentive and our room was huge! The grounds of the hotel itself are fab and I would imagine it is a nice place to relax during the summer. The food was delicious at dinner and the breakfast buffet was very well stocked. I would definitely return.

Simon scored 4 / 5 on 03/04/2013

Lovely hotel & facilities - nice helpful staff.... Restaurant a little overrated but my tastes are simple! Parking is available but spaces are tight so dont bring the 4x4! Bathrooms are nicest I've been in anywhere - beds comfy, in-room furniture showing a bit of age but still nice. Bar is amazing - and the bar food much better than restaurant... Unfortunately didnt get a chance to try out the Spa or leisure facilities but overall great - will be back too!

Pampolina scored 5 / 5 on 02/04/2013

We had a great time in the Osprey, the staff were really friendly, the facilities were excellent and they were very family friendly. We had a lovely big room with an extra camp bed for my 3 year old niece. I liked that they gave us plenty of towels in the rooms and had family changing rooms at the pool. We really enjoyed our stay and would definitely go back.

We enjoyed our overnight getaway in the Osprey, got a great value deal. This is an unusually designed hotel in Naas, 5 mins walk from the main street. Despite being newish, the design makes this hotel more interesting than the standard right angle, parallel lines of modern builds. Free parking, wifi, bottled water in room and newspapers enhance the welcome at reception. The room and partiicularly the bathroom is comfortabe and well fitted out. The staff are professional and friendly. Personally I don't like so many TVs in the bar. The food was generous in portion size and served hot to the table - perhaps too efficiently, we had our 2 course meal in 45 mins! There is a gym and pool available and we enjoyed a treatment in the spa.

Alan scored 5 / 5 on 22/02/2013

My sister recommened the hotel and i wasnt disappointed. The staff were excellent, they were helpful, friendly, accomodating. Arguably the best hotel staff ive experienced. The room was a fantastic size, most probably the result of an upgrade that was given without request, making it particularly appreciated. Only downside of the stay was that the temperature of the pool, particularly the kidies pool and relaxation pool was a little on the cool side, meaning we our daughter was too cold to spend more than a couple of minutes in it.

Food & drink 4*, staff 5*, hotel 4*, rooms 3* although bathrooms are 5*, Swimming pool 2* and spa 4* but didn't like that you have to Walk up flight of stairs to go to sauna, steam room etc. can't comment on Time night club as I stayed On a Sunday and up till 12.30 when we left there was only 10 people. Location good as only a short walk to naas town centre. All in All loved it and would stay again :)

This was a beautiful hotel. We had a family room which was huge and the bathroom was very nice too with a free standing bath & seperate shower. The staff were friendly & helpful. It would be great if there was something for kids like a playground area but they loved the pool which has a children's section. We really enjoyed our stay.

Dear Sir/Madam, I had a very pleasent stay at the Osprey Hotel in Naas, the staff were very welcoming and all in all it was a very enjoyable experience. However it is worthy of note that having booked the hotel through Lidl Breaks, the reservation was never made by you with the hotel, but for the copy of the confirmation reservation e mail we would not have got a room. Yours Sincerely Jim Skelton

I also went to the spa had lovely treatments the therapist very professional and made me feel so relaxed.Staff in hotel so helpful and friendly nothing was to much to ask them. I hope to stay for a longer time on my next break. Would definitely recommend to friends and family. 5 Star

We have had many Lidl breaks and they have all been fantastic, but the Osprey surpasses them all, the value, food , and service were top class. The bedrooms were beautiful. Each member of staff that we had dealings were wonderful, so helpful. Our Waitress was so interested in our day and even gave us vouchers for local interests - Newbridge silver and Kildare Village. We will certainly be making a return visit.

We had an excellent room in the Osprey this week and a really really nice stay. They do have special offers in the spa for mid week but they aren't advertised so ring ahead and ask about the special offers. Unfortunately they were all booked out when we arrived. The staff were lovely and welcoming. We ate in the bar and the food was very good. My only issue was that the air conditioning wasn't working. I had stayed a few weeks previous during hot weather and it wasn't working then either - bit disappointing.

I had a totally relaxing stay in the osprey hotel the only problem i found was that it was hard to find the spa i was walking around in circles before i eventually found it and after that i really had a relaxing time and the staff were very welcoming and looked after me during my treatment. The hotel room was very comfortable and very spacious i did notice that the room looked as though it hadnt been cleaned thoroughly there were some cobwebs in the bathroom but i guess with the amount of people coming and going its hard to get around to everything. In relation to the bar i was on my own and i thought the staff were a bit slow to come to assist i had to go to the bar and order and when the waitress came to the table she said "are you going to oay for that " which i though was a bit abrupt as if i was going to do a runner. The cappucino i ordered was not very nice half cold and at three euors for a cup they could have at least thrown in a biscuit. Other that that i really enjoyed it i dont mean to sound like a moaner as i am not but these complaints might be of importance to someone else so its important to highlight them. I wish the stay had been longer as the rooms were very different than normal the decor was very relaxing and the bathroom was lovely very original needless to say i will be back and would recommend it to those who dont mind those small niggly things ive mentioned

Hi, we stayed here on a Thursday night the 10th May. We had food in the bar when we arrived and it was lovely. At dinner that evening the food was lovely again but the only fault with this was that there was no vegetables included in the dinner. The thermal suite area was cold and the floor was very wet and slippery. It could be kept more tidy. The sauna was not very hot either. I was not impressed with the thermal suite at all and we also were not given any bathrobe or slippers as informed we would be when booking. As we were a couple i was also very disappointed with the bed as it was two single beds shoved together and they didn't even clip together for comfort! So on a romantic night away we ended up in seperate beds. This hotel needs to improve.

Supergran scored 3 / 5 on 11/05/2012

We enjoyed our stay at this hotel for the second time. Food was lovely and staff are very friendly and helpful. The only fault I would have is that the sauna and steam room was upstairs away from the pool and it was freezing getting up there. The receptionist had told us we would get robes on entry to the pool but we were refused them when we asked. Also the steam room was not very warm. We probably won't return to the hotel with such a big selection of hotels doing good deals.

This is a beautiful hotel, fabulous big bathrooms and luxury bathrooms. Pool was lovely. The reception staff were great, very friendly and efficient. The only complaint was the service, we had bar food on one night, waited ages for the order to be taken or even for the table to be cleared. The food when it arrived was lovely but the kitchen wouldn't give a portion of gravy for a childs meal. Breakfast was lovely but again staff very disorganised, tables were not cleared in the time we were sitting for breakfast, no cutlery, no tea/coffee, had to ask for toast more than once.

I recently booked a night away for myself and my partner to stay in the osprey just before the christmas. We had stayed in the hotel previously and found its a lovely hotel and great facilities When we arrived we where upgrade to a suite compliments of the hotel . The room was fab and very spacious. In our package we had an evening meal included so when we went down the waiter said we could opted for the bar or restaurant we opted for the bar as it had a good atmosphere . We where a couple of minutes waiting on our starters but the waiter was so nice and gave us a free drink on the house as we waited. We used the facilites the next day and had a lovely relaxing stay I could not fault this hotel and will definitely be back soon again

I stayed at the Hotel in November 2011. We had a great stay the staff were lovely and very friendly. The food was excellent. The spa was lovely and my husband had a back massage and what was even better the price was reduced that month. The rooms were very clean and spacious, however, there were places where you could see there were finishing touches that were rushed eg plastering in the bathrooms and around plug sockets, howere these are only superficial. Hi, we stayed here at the Osprey Hotel over the mid term. The hotel was lovely and the reception staff where really friendly. All the staff actually mad you feel as if they where there just for you. I got there early for check in, but this was no problem at all. The room was quite big, which was great as I was there with my friend and we had a child each with us. I would def recommend the hotel. I have been on many hotel breaks, but its the first time I felt I must def send in a recommendation. Well done to all there, and will see you again shortly.

The hotel is 4 star with beautifully appointed bedrooms and decor throughout. We visited the spa for a thermal treatment and the staff were very nice. The restaurant has won a Paulo Tullio award and the food is excellent. The hotel is within walking distance of Naas which is a good shopping town. It is also in close proximity of Kildare Retail Shopping Outlet, Japanese Gardens, The National Stud, the Curragh Racecourse and Dublin City. Overall, an excellent hotel in an excellent location.

Staff were very pleasant and courteous but our room (carpet, paintwork) was poorly maintained and grubby. It was in need of refurbishment. Not a bad hotel though for one night.

We stayed one night in the Osprey Hotel. The staff were very friendly and helpful. The hotel room was lovely and well equipped. Breakfast was very good. We did not use the spa but availed of the complimentary entry to the nightclub which we enjoyed immensely for its entertainment value! Would recommend this hotel.

Highly recommend this hotel, this is our 3rd time to stay here and we have loved it every time. The rooms are really spacious and bathrooms fantastic. We were upgraded to a duplex room which was fantastic and meant that we didnt have to creep around the room when our toddler went to bed, we were able to sit in the sitting room with a bottle of wine and watch TV. Pool is good and big with a baby pool and hydro pool, we loved it. Didnt use the spa this time but have spent a full day treatment there previously and it was amazing. The staff were exceptional, the best I have come across in a long time, couldn't do enough to make our stay comfortable and memorable.

Stayed for one night, it was a monday night. There was all conferences been held.Wouldnt recommend a couple staying there on a weekday, felt kinda uncomfortaable as business meetings were held everywhere in the hotel eg at dinner. Breakfast was terrible, had a full irish breakfast from the buffet, it was so dry and hard couldnt even eat a sausage. Bedroom was fab, very modern. Very friendly and professional sttaff. My daughter and I stayed in the Osprey Hotel last week and we were very pleased with our stay. On arrival the staff at the reception desk could not be nicer. We were up graded to a duplex suite. Our meal was beautiful and again the staff was very friendly and helpful. I would certainly go back and would recommend this hotel to anyone .

Lovely hotel. Took my husband to the Osprey Hotel and spa for his birthday and we both loved it. The rooms are very spacious and the bathrooms are fantastic. The bath tubs are gorgeous and the shower is really nice too. The pool is large and the spa was fantastic. We loved everything about the hotel. The food was really good and they even gave us our dessert for free. Will definitely recommend this hotel to my friends and family. And we hope to stay there again soon.

From the moment we set foot in the hotel, to very last minute of departure, we were treated like royalty. The staff were always at hand to make our stay memorable and were very friendly and professional. The kids were a part of the kids club and were entertained for virtually the entire 3 days of our stay, leaving us free to relax and unwind. The facilities were exceptional, especially the MASH restaurant, were we never once had anything but a superlative meal. The icing on the cake for us was the very reasonable cost of our three day stay as a family of two adults and two children. We will recommend the hotel to all our friends and family and hope to make a return visit in the not too distant future. Van Kennaugh, Navan, Co. Meath

just back from a one night break in the osprey hotel. we stayed in a triple room which was huge the bathroom was gorgeous with a bath that you would def fall asleep in. the breakfast was your standard hotel breakfast and the meal in the restaurant at nite was lovely the service was excellent. swimming pool was nothing to write home about but my mother found the spa lovely. only problem thet we encountered was that there was a faullt with our lock and had to get the porter to let us in, they did offer us another room but we declined as it was late at night. hotel only a 10 minute walk into the town, loads of lovely pubs restuarants and shops there, well worth a visit

Lovely hotel would highly recommend it. The food was fantastic and the staff were very friendly and went beyond the call of duty when it came to delivering a fast and efficient service. The leisure facilities were brilliant. Excellent Hotel - well done Osprey!

Really liked this hotel, very nice reception/bar staff, found the hotel to be very clean and contemporary. Our room was impressive, large, well designed with a very comfortable bed and lovely duvet/covers. Breakfast was lovely, with table service, thankfully it was part of the package as its normally %u20AC15pp. DInner was fantastic, I had steak, beautifully cooked, she has risotto, gorgeous, really, dinner was perfect. Overall a fantastic getaway, great hotel, great dinner, great breakfast, free into the adjacent nightclub. My only complaint throughout the whole stay was being greeted by the Restaurant Supervisor for breakfast, no Hello, good morning, how are you.. NUMBER! I was shocked and replied Sorry, she replied Your room number? I felt like I was back in Auschwitz, if you dont meet this ignoramus you will have a fantastic stay, I would definitely return.

Excellent value for money. Room we were given had a very musty smell in it. We opened the patio door to try to remove smell. We informed the reception desk and they said the would look into it. A few hours later we returned to our room but still the same. Rang reception and we were given another room. Bathrooms were really lovely. Food was good but menu very limited. Breakfast was excellent. Didn't like that the pool was on the ground floor but you had to walk up 2 flights of stairs to sauna etc. Snow cubicle was out of order which was a shame as we've never tried one. The staff were efficient and friendly. We would return but might not have meal both nights.

A friend and I spent a night in the Osprey .We really enjoyed our stay and found it hard to leave. The room was spacious and of a high standard. The meal was lovely and with a good selection and tasty food.We did not know what kind of menu to expect but was delighted with the choice and standard. The staff were extremely helpful. The spa area was very relaxing and we wished we had had more time there.Even though I did not use the gym,I thought the facilities were very impressive. We left The Osprey feeling that we should have stayed longer. We happily rambled around Naas for the afternoon, then took a trip to Newbridge Silverware and finished off the day in the National Stud and Japanese Gardens before going home.

Hi. Myself and my husband recently stayed at the Osprey. We were happy with the stay. We arrived about 3.30pm and the check out was busy. I overhead the receptionst telling other guests that rooms were not ready so being heavily pregnant, I was disappointed. However the receptionst found me a room which was great. We used the pool and the spa. I liked how you could use the spa facilities even though you were not gettig treatments. We ate in the restaurant and the food was nice, breakfast was normal hotel food. The staff were very attentive and helpful and I would recommend the hotel.

I brought my two kids down to the Osprey on Good Friday. We had a lovely lunch, a swim in the pool and a very enjoyable dinner that night. The hotel was lovely, and provided everything we needed. We stayed on the dinner, bed & breakfast deal for %u20AC49 which is really outstanding value. It's not my first Lidl break and it won't be my last!

Angie scored 5 / 5 on 26/04/2011

The Hotel was great. The rooms were grand and big and the extra bed which was a camp bed was fine. Food great in the dining room. The only thing was the menu that was given to the kids which had the same dishes as ours was 40 euro but the waitress told us they would do sausage and chips and goujons and chips for 7 euro each which was great but if they didnt want that it would have been 40 eurofor the set dinner menu or 29 euro for the early bird. Other than that the hotel was great but a games room would have been better as there is nothing for the children to do. We paid for a movie for that evening in the room and it was a very pricey 11 euro.

Thoroughly enjoyed our stay our stay in the Osprey. Rooms were nice, bed was comfortable-didn;t have a view but didn't need one. Food was very good-especially the breakfast-one of the few hotels I've been to where breakfast hasn;t been tired and dried out on the buffet. Have a great stay and are thinking of returning later this year. Have to say 10/10 to the Osprey and 10/10 to Lidl breaks-we're considering a family self catering break later this year also

We booked 2 rooms just for a quiet night away. Have to say i was surprised, such a fabulous hotel. In a night quiet location. Room was large and spacious. I wish i could have put the bathroom in my case and took it home with me, fab, fab, fab!!!!! Free standing bath and a huge separate shower. Our meal was served in the bar, i thought it was for the restaurant but the bar was fine. Food was top class. Have to say that between the 4 of us who stayed we really enjoyed everything about this hotel, could not fault one thing. Rooms, food, leisure centre and spa all really fab. One piece of advise, ring and book your spa treatments early. I called the day before arrival and it was fully booked!!! will be back

Great hotel fabulous spa / the food was great and the staff where brilliant. Will definitely go back. The evening meal is served in the bar they don't allow it from the restaurant but the food was still excellent and we could change from the fixed menu to something from the bar menu (the lasagna was excellent) The rooms where the best I've stayed in and so modern. Thanks to all the staff especially the young lady n the bar on Sunday night she was very pleasant and efficient we had a great wedding anniversary. And thanks to lidl-breaks for such an affordable 2 nights.

My friend and I stayed in the Osprey on 16th Nov on a lidl break. WE had dinner B&B and it was fantastic. Great room, Great food and in general a lovely place. Staff were friendly and efficient. Went to the spa and a swim. I would gibe it 5 stars for value for money and overall enjoyment.

Edel scored 1 / 5 on 02/11/2010

We stayed at the osprey because of the great restaurant reviews - it was very disappointing and I wouldn't recommend it. Staying for B&B a better option here as rooms, spa and pool were OK - just OK. I think there are better options for service and food than the Osprey. On complaint we were met with apologies and an empty promise of a small refund which never happened.

B scored 4 / 5 on 25/10/2010

Booked here again for the second time on a Lidl break and wasn't disappointed. Requested a particular room which was ready for us. All staff are particuarly friendly at this hotel in a genuine way. A great variety for breakfast and the staff during breakfast are a very friendly bunch indeed. Have booked back again for a treat in December. Great leisure facilities and a walk away from the town so what more could you ask for.

Marie scored 1 / 5 on 21/10/2010

I stayed in the Osprey, Naas overnight in early October with 2 of my daughters, son-in-law and grandchild who were over on holidays from Sweden. We enjoyed the break very much and could'nt believe the size of the rooms , great to have so much space and lovely and quiet . I meant to ask for adjoining rooms when booking but they already had us opposite each other which was even better. The Breakfast and evening meal were of a high standard and staff couldn't have been more helpful , at reception, in the Bar where we ate and also at the leisure centre. All in all it is a wonderful break, terrific value and I will be back some day hopefully to the Osprey and will avail of Lidl offers as often as i can, which will be this Bank Holiday weekend !!. I would rate this 5 out of 5.

This is a top class hotel and a great deal. The room we had was very big and stylish, with a big balcony. Big bath tub and walk in shower as well. The pamper treatment we went for was the Rasul Bath and it was very nice. Afterwards we had free run of the gym and the rest of the spa too. The meal we had in the pub/restaurant was nothing short of gorgeous and we were so full afterwards that we didn't even avail of the free entry to the niteclub. Fully recommend this hotel, will definitely be going back.
